We stopped by for lunch while we were in the area. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with several other businesses. It has plenty of seating and a nice, modern atmosphere. We ordered the Angus Beef Ramen, Braised Beef Ramen, the Tonkatsu Ramen lunch special (which came with a few dumplings and a side salad), and a couple of boba teas. The Angus Beef Ramen and Braised Beef Ramen were decent, but they were a little too sweet for my taste. I personally prefer a more savory broth. The Tonkatsu Ramen, however, was very good and was my favorite of the three. The boba teas were tasty, although some of the tapioca pearls had hard centers, so they didn't seem to be cooked all the way through. The service was great... friendly and attentive. Good place to visit if craving some Asian food with limited options in the area.

Stopped here on a cold day to grab some ramen. They offer a few choices on their menu. I ordered the shoyu which had chicken, bamboo shoots, noodles and a light broth. The broth was ok but lacked flavor so I added soy sauce and chili flakes which helped. My husband tried the braised beef ramen, the broth had a little more flavor profile. It was sweet in taste and had more additions such as bok choy, corn, and pickled radish. The restaurant is cozy and plenty seating. It was easy to find and offers ample parking at a connected lot. Service was fast so I appreciate that and we had a nice filling dinner here. About $20-25 per person for a meal.

I was recommended this place for ages and I finally got a chance to try it and I must say I regret not coming here sooner! We came here on a Saturday around noon, and it didn't seem very crowded but there were a lot of people coming in and out for takeout. I seems like their boba tea is very popular. I'll try it next time. The ambience of the store is a bit bland inside and out. Not sure why but I feels a bit suffocating. But still interesting in way since it's pan Asian. They're combined Taiwanese, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. Service here was very good. They're very prompt and they give you some bonchon as an appetizer. It tastes like it was made in house because it's not very fermented, which is good for people who aren't used to to standard kimchi. They also have chicken mu kimchi, which is the refreshing radish one. They were also very prompt with refilling drinks and at the end they gave up some honey jasmine tea, which was amazing. I ordered the Angus with the bone ramen. The broth is very reminiscent of the soups I had at the street carts back in Taiwan, but they're much sweeter (I think to suit a more western palate). They literally had a bone in it. It truly was a show. I wasn't able to finish all my food. It really was so much! Honestly, this place really lived up to the type. I can't wait to come again!

I don't know terrific food, excellent service, and a casual vibe. I had the Tonkotsu traditional ramen, and some dumplings. The ramen was well prepared, and those dumplings are amazing. When I go back, I could just eat dumplings as an entree! In addition to the standard iced tea that I had, they also serve boba tea, and sake. There are plenty of non-ramen dishes available as well. Pricing was very affordable at about $20 per person, all in. I would certainly recommend I Noodle to others, and I will definitely be back soon.

Amazing lunch special, $11.99 for a tuna poke bowl w with salad and two dumplings, plus the food is delicious. I am not in this area all the time but when I am, my wife and I love to stop here.

Fresh authentic dumplings made from scratch - pure perfection and the best I've ever had. 36 hour broth for Angus Beef is beyond flavorful, and was my favorite!!!Chicken wings were crispy, and Tuna poke bowl was fresh. Great atmosphere and the owners are super friendly, quick service and have a variety of boba teas and sakes.

Came here because the angus beef shank pictures on yelp drew me in! I was not disappointed - the beef is truly fall-off-the-bone. The meat was not exceedingly fatty either so it's certainly substantial. I would guess you're getting a half lb of meat excluding the bone. The broth was a little sweet for me but I came to enjoy it - other than that all aspects of the meal were fantastic. The kimchi/radish starter and sweat tea shot after dinner were perfect compliments. The waiter was new and he was extremely attentive and kind. Fast service. I came during lunch and the beef is excluded from the lunch deal, but still well worth it ! Just gives me a reason to come back again!

Stopped in for lunch. Had Tonkotsu (ramen noodles in pork and beef broth with pork belly) which came with a salad with ginger dressing (was crisp and fresh) and dumplings. Also had one of their premium Japanese IPAs. It was all excellent. The establishment is small, with plenty of countertop seating and a few tables, neat, and clean. They have an assortment of wines , beers and sake. I will be back to try other menu items. Service was great too.

The vibe is fantastic and the staff matches it perfectly, friendly, warm, and attentive. We went twice in the late afternoon and never waited for a table, which is a huge bonus for a spot this good. The small plates alone are worth the visit. The Katsu Sando Sliders feature crispy chicken katsu on soft potato bread with fresh cabbage, katsu sauce, Japanese mayo, red onion, and sweet pickle peppers, every element working in perfect harmony. The Potato Korokke was equally incredible, perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with katsu fried potato and vegetables paired with katsu sauce and Japanese mayo. The Gyoza were perfectly crispy Japanese fried chicken dumplings, and the Harumaki was a great addition too. Everything fried here is done with real skill, the crunch is always there and never overdone. If you love spice, the KakuKara Ramen is an absolute must. A rich, creamy sesame broth made from chicken and pork stock with Japanese hot sauce and red miso, it is spicy, deeply flavorful, and completely addictive. Loaded with pork belly kakuni, homemade pickled peppers, cabbage, cilantro, green onions, and sesame seeds on those perfect curly noodles, it is everything you hope ramen will be. If you prefer something milder, the Katsu Shio Ramen is a beautiful classic, a delicate Japanese sea salt and dashi seasoned chicken broth with shiitake mushrooms, katsu chicken, red and green onions, and the most wonderful onsen tamago custard egg that takes the whole bowl to another level!

He mentioned wait times for tables, so I chose a Tuesday evening to try to avoid the crowds and it worked as I was immediately sat upon arriving. There are QR Menus on the table and my server directed me to view there. I spotted the Tokyo and was intrigued by the Ajitama Brûlée (signature torched seasoned soft boiled egg). What I Ordered: - Tokyo: For $16.95, I thought this was reasonably priced and excited to try as reading reviews raved about the umami flavor of their ramen. Without exaggeration, this was a life-changing ramen. The best ramen that I've had in my life!! The torched egg was genius and added a beautiful texture to the rich, and flavorful broth. The fried chicken thigh was a delicious protein and cooked so well. Honestly, every ingredient was crafted well and combined to make such a beautiful bowl. - Lychee Martini: What better way to toast to life, then with a martini! The popping bubbles were not my thing, but the flavor of the martini was delicious. I can see why many suggest trying it. A Delicious Experience at Modu Ramen!…read more We recently had the pleasure of dining at Modu Ramen on Baymeadows Road, and what a wonderful experience from beginning to end! One of the highlights of our visit was getting to meet Chef Kim, who came out personally to speak with us and walk us through the menu. He took the time to explain the different dishes, flavors, and ingredients, which made the experience feel so much more personal. You can truly feel the passion he has for what he creates. ‍ And a big shoutout to Christian, who took such great care of us throughout our meal. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. It made us feel right at home. We started with the Vegetable Gyoza and Corn Croquettes -- both were delicious and the perfect way to kick off the meal. For ramen, we had several different bowls so we could experience a little bit of everything: Beef Bulgogi Ramen -- tender beef bulgogi with chicken broth, a soft egg, Naruto, and bok choy. One thing I really appreciated is that if you don't eat pork, you can substitute the broth, making it easier to find something that works for your preferences. Curry Tonkotsu Ramen -- rich, flavorful curry broth with chicken, mushrooms, and corn. So comforting and packed with flavor! Vegetable Curry Ramen -- a delicious option for veggie lovers, with that wonderful curry flavor and plenty of satisfying ingredients. Of course, we couldn't stop at the food! Mango Sake -- fruity, refreshing, and such a fun pairing with the meal. Butterscotch Latte -- sweet, creamy, and absolutely delicious. A perfect little treat alongside dinner. And then came dessert... and this was definitely something special! Mango Bingsu -- light, refreshing, and full of mango flavor. Tiramisu Bingsu -- such a fun twist on traditional tiramisu! Creamy, indulgent, and the perfect way to end the meal. What I loved most about Modu Ramen was that it wasn't just about having a good bowl of ramen. It was the whole experience -- the welcoming atmosphere, Chef Kim taking the time to personally explain the menu, Christian's wonderful service, and all the different flavors coming together to make the meal memorable. If you're looking for a place to enjoy comforting ramen, creative dishes, and genuinely warm hospitality, Modu Ramen is definitely worth adding to your Jacksonville dining list! We tried the Vegetable Gyoza, Corn Croquettes, Beef Bulgogi Ramen with chicken broth, soft egg, naruto and bok choy, Curry Tonkotsu with chicken, mushrooms and corn, and Vegetable Curry Ramen. The curry ramen had a wonderful depth and authentic spice. The broths are incredibly rich and flavorful, and you can substitute the broth if you don't eat pork. I've had similar styles of ramen in Japan, and Modu Ramen really brought back those flavors. The spice, depth of flavor and overall authenticity were outstanding. I was a little incredulous that a former Sailor could run an Asian restaurant with such awesome ramen! Well, now I believe everything I heard. As a former sailor, upon entry I immediately fell in love with the Navy decor, pictures, and even the tables in the dining area had the seals of ships and other commands past and present on the table top art that gave a tremendous nostalgic feel to an old sea warrior like me! OK, I was a Chaps - I gave spiritual support to those warriors. Nevertheless, the ramen bowls here are a work of artistic beauty! I felt like I needed to stare at my meal for an hour before daring to touch it! On this day, we had the Bayou Ramen and the Traditional Ramen. The Bayou Ramen has a real Cajun spicing to it - unmistakable in every way. It has some heat to it, but not heavy - I'd say it was just about right for my taste. The shrimp and sausage in it were perfectly prepped - I could have taken some home but didn't - just couldn't stop eating this! It also included carrots, corn, a seasoned egg, scallions, ramen noodles in chicken bayou broth. If you like ramen of a Cajun variety, you'll love this! The traditional ramen bowl was pretty basic. You could have a choice of broth, but the basic version has little to no heat factor. It comes with roast pork, bok choy, carrots, corn, seasoned eggs, scallions, ramen noodles. I had the leftovers of this ramen bowl the next day and it was outstanding too! In addition, when you come here, you MUST get the fried chicken! It's among the best I've ever tasted. It's definitely bested KFC in my book! Anyone who wants to try a solid ramen restaurant which classic offerings and some creative versions of ramen, must visit Hangar Bay! Finally made it here. Service was fantastic. Was immediately brought to my somewhat private table…read more Given menus. Shown button on the wall to call for service. Looked over the menu and was in a pho mood. The special looked tasty with added variety-ramen, crispy chicken, chicken bao and unique lemonade made with sparkling water. Was served very quickly. I ate the egg first-- perfection. I tried all the condiments on their own with a spoon full of broth. I loved the Shichimi togarashi but the pepper sauerkraut was phenomenal. I ate both in bites of broth and on my bao. I've had a better bao but seriously nothing to complain about here. The chicken was well seasoned, not dry but not juicy. The broth was not as spicy as I would have liked. The ramen noodles were acceptable. I'm definitely headed back for the omurice! Can't wait! Not sure why all my menu photos didn't show up. Anyway, check it out!

So I finally found my way to Kyuramen. Upon being seated I discovered that they have a great lunch…read morespecial. It's any ramen off the menu, a pork bao or an order of gyoza and either a Thai iced tea or a lemonade, all for sixteen bucks. The ramen was quite decent (and spicy!) and the bao was tasty, too. The tea was well made and refreshing. I also noticed from looking at the regular menu that they serve omurice. Am definitely trying that next time! Service was very kind, friendly and efficient and the place was immaculately clean with a cool vibe and layout. If you're near there between the hours of 11:30 and 4:00, it's definitely worth stopping in to take advantage of this great lunch deal. And don't scoff at it being a chain - some chains (like this one) are good. Kyuramen 9846 Old Baymeadows Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32256 (904)647-5772
