A wonderful meal at Yoon's Spoon. I wasn't sure what to expect when I came in. The restaurant is small and connected to a gym. However, I saw the fresh vegetables and the sweetest lady asking what I would like to eat. She was cutting fresh squash and zucchini so I know I would be in for a hardy but healthy meal. The menu was simple with good flavor pairings so it was hard settling on something for lunch. I settled on the Bulgogi Korean Plate w/ extra steamed vegetables and it came with a salad. So plenty of vegetables to go around. There was plenty of food on the plate when presented and because I was hungry when I walked in I probably ordered more than my belly could hold. Everything was fresh, fast but fresh. The bulgogi was tendered and cooked well. The vegetables were cooked thoroughly but still crisp. The surprise salad had a nice soy ginger vinaigrette dressing. I truly enjoyed Yoon's Spoon; a pleasant surprise. Then hearing the owner was/is battling breast cancer I'm glad I support this small business off the whelm. read more

Great spot for lunch. Yoon's is a small establishment right next to a gym. Their hours are limited and so is their menu, but what they do serve is pretty good. They offer health-conscious Korean food. I ended up getting the Bulgogi Bento and hubby got their David's Bowl. Both dishes were satisfying and were a good-sized portion. The Bulgogi bento came with a side salad, rice, and gyoza. The meat was marinated well and full of flavor. The David's Bowl is a bowl of teriyaki chicken over a bed of rice with lots of veggies and topped with avocado. The chicken was done well and wasn't dry at all. The meal was clean and simple, but sometimes that's all you need. read more

Delicious food, impeccable service and the most caring and generous owners! The restaurant is small but perfect! If you want healthy and delicious food then Yoon's is the place! Do yourself a favor and try the pear and blue cheese salad! The spiced pecans are to die for and the dressing is drool worthy! Very good food. Good, healthy options from a simple but varied menu. Fresh ingredients and very nicely presented. This is not just fast food - the owner has all of the required talents of a chef. I ordered the Bulgogi Korean Bento Box for my lunch. It was delicious with a lot of depth of flavors and I could tell just by this one plate that most likely everything on the menu is very good. She has a variety of items on her menu and literally everything you eat is good. You can't go wrong from the pear and walnut salad to the fish tacos. Be sure to try everything on the menu. The beef bulgogi is yummy as well. Not to mention the excellent customer service she provides. Be sure to call in your order before arriving, it helps her out a lot during the dinner rush. read more

Hubby and I finally made it over to Yoon's Spoon on Beach Blvd. for lunch today and we were delighted by every aspect of our meal. We shared the ahi tuna poke bowl to start (because there were too many yummy-sounding things on the menu to pick just one) and she divided it into two bowls without me even having to ask, which was very thoughtful. Let me tell you, it was the BEST poke bowl I've ever had. Super fresh with lots of big cubes of ahi, finely-chopped cucumber, mango and pineapple, avocado and spring mix with a delicious sauce and a couple of crispy wontons as garnish. Hubby had the David's Bowl with tuna (seared ahi, brown rice, steamed broccoli and half a perfectly-ripe avocado with teriyaki sauce) while I had James' stir-fry bowl with tons of chicken breast, brown rice and wok-fired veggies. Everything tasted amazing and I will be in a happy food coma for the rest of the day. She's only open from 11:30 to 5 M-F but I'm already planning a return visit to try the salads and spring rolls. I finally tried this place and it is amazing! I got the seared ahi tuna with mixed veggies and white rice and it was awesome. You can tell that everything is very authentic and made to order. Miss Yoon is so sweet which is a bonus! I can't wait to try the bulgogi next :) read more

Came here to try out the food based upon a recommendation from someone I know. I ordered the bulgogi bento box and lobster Cali roll to go... O. M. G. The bulgogi and sushi roll are absolutely deeeeelish! The bulgogi was tender and flavorful. The bento box came with some brown rice, gyoza (3 pcs) and a salad. Portion size was perfect. Out of this world! I always get the Korean Beef plate because it is too delicious for me to try anything else. My husband gets the chicken one and loved that as well. Everything is so fresh and healthy, and made immediately after ordering by Yoon. The only thing that makes this place better is that the owner, Yoon, is so warm and welcoming. read more

Serves bulgogi (Korean teriyaki thin slices of beef) with rice, potstickers and salad for lunch. Spicy tuna sushi was delicious and Asian buckwheet noodle salad was amazing. Since this restaurant is attached to a local gym, their aim is to be as fresh and healthy as possible. If you would like a non-fried and healthy option (with great taste) try this restaurant. Unlike most korean restaurants in Jacksonville, this place does not use MSG, significant salt, super spicy items. The owner was a chef (trained in french cuisine) in san francisco. A delight to find this place in Jacksonville! They also cater, and if you would like to have authentic french cuisine,one can also rent the entire restaurant for the evening. Compliments to the chef! Yoon does an amazing job taking healthy dishes and making them delicious. She can customize any stir fry style to your needs or wishes. She's a very considerate and thoughtful chef. My favorites are the bulgogi bento box and the asian chicken salad. Perfect for a healthy, fulfilling lunch or for straight after the gym for a satisfying meal. Highly recommended hole-in-the-wall restaurant next to the gym. The shopping center masks this place so it's a definitely good place to find and try! ~You won't regret it! read more

I had the bulgogi bento box and a vegetable roll. Both very delicious! This is more of a take out place, but it did have tables set up for dining. The setup for this restaurant is inside of a gym, which is strange. I would order from here again. read more

So we decided we would try this restaurant because of all the great reviews. Walked in at 12:30 for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and she told us they were closed for a private party. Then we have to for a take-out menu so we could at least look at it for the next time and she smiled and said don't have one. Hmmmm read more

DRINKS Boba - while I typically omit boba from the milk tea and slush drinks now (avoiding the extra calories), their boba is actually made quite well. It's well cooked, not too hard or extra squishy. Their taro slush is perfect. I tried the Kumquat with lemon as well and it's such a great alternative to plain lemonade on a hot summer day. This comes with lychee and I added popping boba (different from regular boba) which adds another layer of citrus burst in my taste buds. Though it was briskly busy for Sunday service, the ambiance remained thoroughly pleasant and impeccably maintained. We were seated toward the back of the establishment, offering an utterly magnificent, unobstructed view of the river. To begin, I selected a crisp Corona Extra with a fresh slice of lemon, while my assistant opted for a fine beer. For our luncheon, we ordered a platter of raw oysters, which were extraordinarily fresh, perfectly chilled, and thoroughly divine for a late-afternoon meal. To top off a splendid day, we indulged in a warm cinnamon roll for dessert a delightfully decadent sweet finish. Watching the breathtaking sunset cast its glow over the water made for a truly magical afternoon. Impeccable views, fresh cuisine, and a wonderful atmosphere I shall most certainly be returning!
