I visited this place last Saturday... I was primarily looking for a boba spot with snacks and ramen. This was the best boba spot for all types of drinks, snacks, ramen and udon. The location is not hard to find as you're driving by you can see the sign but once you get into to the parking lot you have to drive around the corner which was confusing because there was an arrow pointing one direction and soon as you get front of the restaurant there was aboslutely no parking or parking but no room to fit. I had a van park in front of i-tea and it took up a lot of the space. I had to park crooked and another car wasn't able to fit. The only downfall about this place is the parking but the good news is that the boba taste good! the food is very hot! everything is cooked fresh! they did run out of curry balls at the time i went but very happy with eating here for lunch! :) read more

5 stars! Outstanding Customer Service - I-Tea - they made a mistake with my debit card yesterday when I bought for my parents their avocado smoothie treat. They accidentally charged me twice. Mistakes happen with machines. I called to ask nicely if I should ask the bank to dispute or can they fix it. I went in and they refunded me the double charge they made on my debit card. Very sweet girls. They apologized way too much. Lol. I'm a regular and they read most of my yelp reviews all over Sacramento. It's a bit embarrassing when strangers quote your reviews. Happens to me a lot. Lol. They are so nice. I saw their desserts and its hot outside so I decided to order their Strawberries and Banana Egg Puff. Soooo delicious. They spent a lot of time making my egg puff dessert pretty today. I give them 5 stars for the delicious milk teas, foods, desserts, fixing the problem and making it easy to fix with no drama. I'm so happy to see another Taiwanese milk tea places finally making its way to Sacramento. I-tea is a new edition to the South Sacramento area. I think what makes them unique is that they have an extension menu of food menu and snacks. Their regular size is a larger size compare to most Milktea spots. Additionally, its very spacious inside and decor is comfortable. I liked I-tea in the Bay Area and always get the mango drinks, but this was not available since today was their grand opening. We ordered the Okinawa milk tea and the orea black tea smoothie. My milktea was 50% sugar and 30% ice and it was way too SWEET!! The ice look like it melted away already. It also had an odd taste that was unpleasant. The orea shake was fine. This was a disappointment. I will not get this drink again. I really enjoy their drinks in the Bay Area so I will be back in a bit to try my regular mango crystal drink. read more

Love their boba (specifically their mango sago- it has mango chunks in it)! Their food isn't great though. I had their basil popcorn chicken and curly fries but the popcorn chicken tasted a little chewy and the curly fries were a little too crispy for me. I do however appreciate coming here to study. The staff is always super friendly and it's not too crowded at the times that I go so I really enjoy coming here to study after work. My brother brought the family here for dinner. I was kind of skeptical at first because it is a tea place. I thought he was going to make me and my family order snacks for dinner. I didn't try any of the teas since we were mainly there for dinner but I did get the spicy kimchi miso ramen whereas the other members of my family got some normal miso ramen. The ramen was actually really good and I hate when most places say the spicy dish is spicy and it isn't. The spicy ramen I had ordered was really spicy. I wanted to drink the broth but it was too spicy. The only real bad thing about this place is if it gets loud. There was a group of students at one table playing Catan and they made a bunch of noise. At the very far table near the bathrooms I saw some kids playing a card game probably Cardfight Vanguard or MTG and they were also kind of loud. Kind of distracting for the kids at one table who looked like they were doing homework. I think one of those kids kept looking at the people playing Catan. I love all teas and usually get milk teas but I saw a fruity Mango on the menu and tried that instead. It was very yummy with lots of fruit and tapioca. The space is nice and open and they have food options here too which was a surprise. They also have some games to play if you want to just hang out with friends here. But I usually default to a jasmine milk tea with boba and agar boba. In the summertime I like going for the strawberry fruit tea (so refreshing!). Sometimes there is a wait because it's so popular, but they take over the phone orders! So that's pretty convenient if you're on a time crunch. They have a lot of space (plus WiFi!) so it's great for students. But don't expect it to be quiet, since it's so big for a boba spot, it does echo and there are usually big groups. i-Tea is my favorite chain boba place!!!! I love the F4, Taiwan Royal Jade with kreama. And I LOVE the kiwi tea... if you like sour stuff you'll love that drink. 3 Stars because the acoustic of the building is terrible. Everyone voice just echo's around and it makes it so hard to hear anyone talk. They totally drop the ball on the layout of the restaurant to cause this echo-ness. Makes it hard to enjoy yourself there. On the other hand, their drinks are very good so I do come here often for them but usually get it to go. Avoid the ramen, it's alright but tolerable. Unless you're super hungry, I would skip on it. After realizing while waiting, I was told my name would be called for my order--avoiding answering my question? After I picked up my order, I again asked for my receipt. I'm so sad to leave this review but my experiences have not been pleasant. I have been here a total of 2 times. The first time I came I thought the food was so good (I got spicy kimchi ramen) BUT it took so long to come out, the lady said she had forgotten to turn on the stove... I waited about 30 min until my food came. I thought to myself ok well... things happen. The second time I went I brought my boyfriend with me because I wanted him to try the ramen since I thought it was so delicious. He ordered a tonkatsu ramen and I ordered the spicy kimchi again. They brought his food out after 30 min but not mine. :( we waited like 5 min and asked where mine was and apparently the cook did not see my order with his so they apologized and made mine. My bf was already finished eating by the time mine came, he wanted to wait but I said it was ok bc it will get cold... it really killed my appetite and the whole experience. I would've appreciated if we had gotten a refund or maybe a boba drink on the house but nothing was offered to compensate the bad experience. Came here with the hubs bc we couldn't decide what to eat for dinner so we stopped by to grab some boba tea and since they served ramen as well we decided to just eat here. I ordered the fried fish ball bc I really wasn't that hungry and I actually like the fried fish balls here. It's fried to perfection where it's not crispy but just the right texture when you place it in your mouth. It's not overly salty like at some place and I made sure they didn't add the spicy salt. The hubs ordered the tan tan ramen and surprisingly it wasn't that bad. For $9.95 a bowl the hubs actually liked it more than the overpriced/overrated Shokis in downtown. We also ordered the Hokkaido Milk Tea and their C1 special tea. I've always ordered it with 30%sugar and 30%ice. The Hokkaido milk tea was still just a tad too sweet at 30% I think they may have mixed it up and did 50% sweet and the added more ice in the Hokkaido than in their C1 so it's a hit or miss on how much ice you get even when both drinks have requested 30% ice. Other than the Ice level and sweetness, this place it alright. So far we have been lucky where we didn't have to wait in line and we usually get our food and drink out pretty quick. Oh they also bring the food to you unlike other tea places with snacks where they call your number and you have to get it yourself. I like the service here. read more

Like others have said, the tea is nothing special. Like Cool Tea Bar, it's a better value than some other boba places since their regular size is a large at most places. They also give a good amount of boba/they aren't stingy with it. The boba is sweet, which I like. For fruit teas, I would recommend sticking to 100% sweetness as the flavor is much better. At 80% sweetness I found my peach fruit tea to be bland compared to my bf's mango fruit tea at 100%. And based on previous reviews, a couple days in and they've already given up telling people there's no mango fruit bits in the tea. Not sure if there's supposed to be fruit bits in all fruit teas, but my peach tea didn't have any.. The crab tonkatsu ramen ($12) has one whole real crab. My bf said it was ok, the broth picks up the fried crab flavor and kind of ruins it. I'm sure they'll be changing that to half a crab or imitation crab or something like that soon enough, so get it while you can. I got the shoyu tonkatsu ramen. It came out 15-20 min after my bf's and after another couple's order of ramen and they were at least 2 orders behind us..they forgot my order. They apologized and came out later to give me free takoyaki. I appreciate the gesture but I don't eat seafood and my bf doesn't eat octopus, so it was basically useless to us; would have been better if he just asked what we wanted or given popcorn chicken, can't go wrong with that.. but, they tried to remedy the situation and that's important since Asian places tend to not care about customer service very much. They call the order number, which would be nice if they told you, and it's pretty hard to hear them since it's fairly loud inside (music and lots of people talking). They bring your food, but you pick up your drink (although I did see a girl bring out a drink to a guy who wasn't paying any attention/busy talking since it wasn't busy). It's a pretty big place with a lot of seating. One or two tvs. Good service--friendly but kinda slow. Hopefully they get a little faster, especially for drinks. I love this place! Delicious ramen, boba selection, nice staff, and nice place to hang out and chill with friends. If i-tea were closer I would definitely become a regular. I came here twice! The first time I just grabbed drinks. I would recommend their black or green milk teas, matcha latte and their yogurt drinks are very good as well. The second time I came here I grabbed a kimchi ramen bowl, and the black ramen. Both were delicious and the kimchi ramen has the perfect amount of spice and flavor. Yes!! Yakult drinks are served here! Yakult is an Asian yogurt drink which has a naturally tangy flavor that goes well when mixed with fruit juices. I haven't seen Yakult served anywhere except socal so was excited to see it here in Sac. I got the passion fruit Yakult with half the sweetness amount. It tasted slightly powdery for some reason but it hit the spot. There are also a lot of food options on the menu including typical tea house snacks and some impressive looking soups. I tried the basil popcorn chicken, which came with huge chunks of chicken and wasn't all batter, and the seasoned curly fries which had bbq and another sauce smothered on top. Yummy! My last few visit here has been a disappointment. I'm usually here ordering the Mango Sago or The Super Fruit Tea. These few times. The Super Fruit Tea taste like water down, missing flavored. Kinda bland than the five times before I had it. The Mango Sago usually it's seasonal due to certain mango they chose are seasonal, but now you can get it pretty much year round. Been here a few times but, never wrote a review about it. Usually when I'm here with friends they recommend coming here. Sometimes my baby girl cousin visit this location and would buy me a drink or two. I personally, wouldn't buy drinks here. Service here is supppeeerrrr slow. Basic milk teas such as panda milk teas/ Hokkaido/ pearl milk teas doesn't take over 25 minutes to make 4-6 drinks. Why I'm being so harsh?!?! Being a boba snob and boba is life for me. I've seen other location that has been super busy with only two tea makers. Each person can make 3 drinks per minute. Our drinks didn't have sticker labels either. But, we could tell em apart. Imagine if people who are new to boba wouldn't be able to figure it out. Drinks here are off. Not sure if the tea is legit. Teas aren't strong and Hokkaido milk tea doesn't taste like "milk candy" flavor. Hokkaido milk is known in Japan for creamy and milky flavor with a sweet aroma. This was a disappointment for me. As for Okinawa milk tea, is your typical brown sugar milk tea but, why is there a caramel flavor instead?!?! Makes me wonder if the product is the same as what they get from their franchise or do they swap with cheaper teas, syrup, creamer, etc. I DO like I-Tea and their drinks are good and have good quality based on other location I have visit in the past, but again this location seems to lack in quality and service. Taiwanese spicy beef noodle soup is delicious, drinks are delicious, but fried oysters are lacking! It wasn't my favorite thing to eat EVER! I had a hard time finishing it. The texture reminded me of super soft, fall off the bone ox tail! It was very very delicious and I wish I can order just a bowl of that meat! The ramen here is so delicious, especially the Black Garlic Ramen! It's actually a lot better than other ramen places and I've been to many. I gave this place 3 stars because of the service. Sometimes the staff are a bit lazy in saying they are unable to make hot drinks. There have been a couple times I asked for a hot drink and the staff says, "I can't make that drink hot." I've ordered the drink hot before AND I had to go home and microwave it cause they forgot to hand it to me. In addition, I have asked for egg puffs before and they told me it would take 30-45 mins to make. Drinks are super slow even with two workers. Most other boba places makes my drinks almost instantly. Waited about 15 mins for my drinks even though there were only two people in front of me. The place itself is quite big but is quite echo-y. Like others said, it makes it hard to have a conversation with your friends cause it's so loud.
