I was in the area and needed a place to chill since it was hot outside. They have extensive selections to offer. Many different types of food and drinks. I decided on mango & coconut delight. An older man took my order. I was looking at the screen and noticed he was charging me for topping when I told him I did not want any topping. He did something from his end so I thought he was removing the topping charge. I pulled out my card and then he added on additional fee instead. After I paid, there was an option to print the receipt but before I was able to select that option, he closed it and walked away. At the end, I paid for the topping I didn't want and service charge for using credit card without any notice. SMH The drink itself was alright. Tasted very sweet and artificial. Just a heads up! This business was bought out and rebranded. It's not actually Quickly's; they're called "Quick Tea" but they still utilize the Quickly's supplies. The recipe for the snacks tastes somewhat similar, however the drinks are nothing close to what it should taste like. The customer service is great, very kind people. It's quiet and empty inside. There's so many drink options, their slushes are perfect every time. Second time coming in as of typing this review, I like it. It's just a lady and a man (I assume husband & wife) running the whole store. The food is good, but they specialize in drinks so don't expect some amazing dish for the price below $8-$10 per se like a restaurant. I got the fried rice and it's just like any typical homemad cooking, you got your corn, carrots, peas, and green beans as well as your choice of protein. I came back this time because my first time my lady and I were in a rush and couldn't take in everything. Drink wise I got a Strawberry Juice. I say it's good. I tipped them more money than my total since I was feeling great and the lady gave me a free Thai Tea. The Lady and Man are great and they have the place nice and clean. The lobby is a nice vibe. I would say it's a shame they're located in an area where it doesn't get much foot traffic or attention as it's mostly to the side from the SF Market. Nonetheless it's a good spot if you want drinks and just want some peace and quiet. This place continues to get worse. I'm honestly surprised they're still open. Tonight (Sunday) when I came in, the lady was breaking up the ice in the ice maker with a hammer. Hella not cleanly and an obvious health code violation. Ordering is super frustrating cus their English is terrible and they don't seem to understand what you're saying so you have to repeat yourself and go back and forth with them like 5x before they maybe get it, and even after you wonder if they're really going to get it right.. Note: I've also seen a cot behind the counter a number of times, like one of the owners was sleeping there for awhile. Finally they put the order in and rang us up. Our drinks came out and they were iced! I wasn't leaving without what we ordered so I tried to express we ordered hot teas, not iced teas, and the guy mumbled and turned away so I tried to explain to the other lady instead. They kept saying they didn't have it so I asked what hot drinks did they have, so that we could get our hot drinks we came for. Then apparently all of a sudden I guess they had it because he said it would be an extra $1 per drink for hot. The prices are the same on the menu so I thought that was just ridiculous, but I was already annoyed at the situation and the wait so I gave them $2 cash and we waited for our hot teas. I'm low income senior and I was looking for a place to take my adult disabled son for lunch. I ordered rice noodle, beef and broccoli, and spicy pork ribs. Total was $28. Expensive for my budget but it was a special lunch. Took it to go...absolutely inedible! All three dishes had undercooked/raw meat, swimming in awful sauce that looked like dish water, and noodles were not stir fried - just boiled with no veggies or seasoning. I felt bad for my son since he is in a room and board and this lunch was to be a treat. So disappointed. I bought him a pizza at Little Caesar's to take home and had to throw out the $28 worth of food. I hate wasting food but it was food poisoning waiting to happen. I only come here because I live in South Sac and it's the only place that you can get boba late at night. But I do enjoy hanging out here with my friends talking, playing cards or jenga. The name "QUICKLY" is DECEIVING! We arrived when no one was there. We ordered 7 Boba drinks & it took 40 minutes to get it. They have 2 blenders & 1 person running the register AND making Boba drinks. This person can only make 2 drinks @ a time. When someone would come, he would stop what he was doing, wait for the person to order. Then, go back to making drinks. Doesn't wash his hands before going back to continue making drinks... maybe to save time?!? The extensive wall menu is deceiving. My first 5 requests came with the answer: NO. May I please have papaya? No, we don't have that. Coconut? Durian? Can you blend your milk teas? Do you have any sugar-free or sugar substitute options? No. No. Uhhh... No. When I place my order, I always start by saying how many drinks I want. We wait for our 7th drink, & it never comes. I ask after a few minutes, he says we never ordered that. Ugh! That was the 1st request we made! So we wait more. Drinks are okay. It's all powder flavor, no fresh fruit. Prices are cheap but definitely had better tasting boba drinks. Lets QUICKLY get this over with: I Love This Place. This particular restaurant is a lot bigger than most other QUICKLY stores you will find, especially compared to the one downtown (which is run down compared to this one). The store is clean, bright, big, and very colorful in general. Ok, ok, QUICKLY is pretty much the same standard color across all chain stores, but this one is just so much more roomy and crafty in layout. I've had enough tea drinks here to feel confident that my next milk tea will be just as consistent as the previous 10 I've had. Boba is hard to cook correctly, and the store gets the consistency just right like 98% of the time. That's hard to do. The snacks I've gotten have all been very good. I haven't had one single gripe about the food. What's also unique to this store is the karaoke machine. That you can use. For Free. YEAH. Where else can you listen to "I feel it in my fingers.. Christmas is all around.", to "Black or White," to "Amazing Grace?" And for free. You can also request songs that they play on the big plasma screen up on the wall near the employee entrance into the back counter/kitchen. Hurry and get a bunch of your friends together QUICKLY and head over. You'll have a blast. They also have a lot of games at the store, and don't mind you doubling down with some cards, or other games. I've seen people play Cranium, and other fun games that they bring in. Oh.
