I've been going here for 16 years! Dr. Shih is the best, great bedside manner and very knowledgeable.

The man working here gave me the wrong prescription for my glasses I paid extra to get my contact prescription and he tried different contact lenses 3 different times and couldn't get my prescription right. He then told me he needed to figure out my glasses prescription before he does my contacts. I had gone to this eye doctor about 3-4 times back and forth and he still couldn't get my prescription correct and it got very annoying having to go back and forth and not getting the right prescription. I had to go to a different place and pay out of pocket due to me using my insurance for my glasses here. Would not recommend read more

Dr. Shih has always treated me professionally and with care. It can be hard to find doctors who are knowledgeable about CRT contacts / Ortho-K lenses, but Dr. Shih handled everything and got me new lenses that work great. read more

I have been coming to IWear for more than 5 years now. Although I have to drive through four cities to get there I keep coming back. The doctors are always nice and professional. Staff is very helpful, patient and always have a smile for everyone. They send you letters to remind you of your yearly eye exam and give you a call a few days before your appointment. When they have your orders (glasses or contacts) they give you a call as well. They have cases and cases of frames from name brand items to ones that fit those on a budget but still want to look their best. They have contact lens and a good selection of sunglasses as well. Also they allow you to pore over the items and don't pressure you into making a selection. Great service, I tell ya. They accept mostly all types of insurance and if you want to pay out of pocket they take that for sure. read more

Just as an update 4-17-18, case number 18WCSC00616, CHAO vs. Dr. Jack Shih, judge Susan Townsend sided with me, the Plaintiff. There is justice! Dr. Jack Shih, consider yourself formally on notice. On 2-11-2018 at approximately 5:20 pm, I came into this store to pick up my wife and 5 year old daughter. I had my one year old son in my hands as I attempted to enter this store. I tripped over your security gate lock which blocked over 50% of the entryway. With my son in hand, almost falling face down putting my self and also my son in harms way, I quickly regained my balance. In front of my wife and entire family, I quickly notified your employee of the dangers, fearing for my moms anticipated entrance into your store and her hazard as well. Both your response and your employees were, we are closed, with complete disregard for any patrons safety entering in your store. We not only had an appointment but my wife and daughter was in the process of selecting glasses. If you were closed, then lock the door and secure all hazards away from the public patrons whom enter your store. 1. You have a complete disregard for safety. 2. Are combative towards complaints which are originated for the public safety in mind. 3. You hide your business license in between files when they are legally required to be placed at a viewable location for the public. 4. I come once a year. I think the staff is affable and know what they are doing. Dr Shih is also very knowledgeable with what he does.

I went to the store last week. Dr. Shih was great. He is very patient in explaining about the eye exam results Other assistants were very nice and courteous. The only big issue is the ventilation is very poor in the store. I felt suffocating after staying inside the store for over one hour with my mask on. The entrance door was kept closed at all times. I purposely opened the front door to let some oxygen come in, but the assistant went to close the door when she noticed the door was open.. I felt headache due to lack of oxygen.. It is highly recommended that they should keep the air come in the store during the Covid 19 pandemic time while everyone is wearing masks. Please keep good ventilation in the store to not only reduce the possibility of Covid 19 virus transmission as well as for the good health of everyone in the store. Thank you read more

This would be my second visit here and 1st of all this is a legitimate good customer service establishment. 2nd they want to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. Making a frame selection took me a while since I liked many of them but finally narrow it down to 1 and they had the patience. As well they helped so that made me feel better and not rushed. read more

Great service! Friendly staff! Family environment! Dr. Jack truly cares about his patients. He takes his time with each of them. He goes beyond the general exam. He has high end technology for further observation and has caught many problems before getting worse. He follows up on this patients to make sure we are following his orders. Love coming here. This optometry store is operating on a 'bait and switch' business model. They pushed me to get ultra thin lens but I told them that I dont need anything fancy because I just need them to watch my tv before I go to bed every night. After I paid for the deductible and spent almost an hour at the store, I finally picked a frame and was promised that they would be ready after 2 weeks. Second day I received a message from them stating that I need to pay extra $150 for the lens because my frame requires the ultra thin lens! This is bull! I even referred some of my friends to go here before because the optometrist is very nice, but I am taking my business somewhere else because I dont think this is right nor legal. I called VSP to report them already, and I think someone else has the similar experience as I did. STAY AWAY! read more
