Took in my Honda for an ac leak and taillight diagnostic, they fixed the leak but wouldn't blow cold air like before, they told me to drive it around, didn't get any better. 2 weeks later the leak came back! They rewired both taillights when it was only one side, I later found out when driving it creates a short, ended up getting pulled over.. When I picked up the car the mechanic who worked on it was high af, and I usually see him at the liquor store across the street, not professional at all. Also noticed my glove compartment that I locked where I keep my old iPod was ran sacked, oil on the screen and registration paper. Only takes a screw driver to open it... Took my wrangler for diagnostic and was told it needed ABS module replacement $800 used or $1500 new, plus $150 labor. When I got there with the part they told me to take the car. Apparently the customer getting the part is something they don't like. When I said "wow, excellent service" the mechanic charged aggressively towards me. No idea how this place is in business with that attitude. read more

Worst mechanic shop ever. Please do not waste your time or money coming to this place . Adrian is the owner & he has no clue how to run a business . They have tweakers work on your car & take weeks to fix something simple . I took my car one time & when I picked it up there was a big dent on my hood . Years ago I left my older V6 toyota pickup with Adrian at his previous shop on Roxford and Glenoaks. The original radiator had clogged up, overheated my engine and warped the heads. Adrian was supposed to replace the radiator, fix the heads and of course test drive it to ensure the problem was fixed. The truck sat there for almost two months without being moved from the back corner of the lot. I called numerous times to ask for updates and was told that he just hadn't gotten to it yet. Finally, after one of my check-ins, I was told that it was ready to be picked up. I paid him approximately $2,000 for this job, happy to have my truck back up and running... or so I thought. A few days later, the truck starts overheating again so I reluctantly took it back to him and after a few days, he eventually said he couldn't figure out why it was overheating and basically gave up. I drove it that way for the next two years, living with the issue because I only used it for short distance trips not long enough to allow the temp to rise past the normal indicator on the gauge. It was only after I was recommended another mechanic in South Gate that I found out that Adrian had never touched a single bolt on my engine. Adrian had replaced the radiator with a cheap chinese aftermarket unit and lied about working on the heads. They were still warped! I struggled for years trying to figure out why it kept overheating so I was furious. By then, Adrian had left that location and eventually I found out that he moved to this place. The other mechanic in South Gate fixed the heads, changed my spark plugs, replaced belts and hoses all for $1,200 and gave me a 6 month warranty on his work. That was 4 years ago and the truck is still running strong. DO NOT go to IB Auto care for any serious work on your car if you value your time and money. The silver lining since then is that I've learned tons about DIY auto repair after that incident so as not to get taken advantage again by dishonest mechanics. I hope this helps. read more

IB Auto Care is amazing. We were referred by a body repair shop in San Fernando when our car had troubles last year, and since then we haven't found anyone else who matches the quality of service IB Auto Care has! Their pricing is great - read: FAIR and JUST - and they don't just tell you what's wrong after a few minutes. They will spend time trying to see what's wrong with the car. I highly recommend them. We've had issues with our old car's A/C and made the mistake of going to a different shop since we recently moved. WORST MOVE EVER. This other A/C shop tried to trick me into paying over $750 for a "bad compressor" without even checking it out. It seemed sketchy to me, so I brought my car to IB Auto Care on my day off. It wasn't the compressor that had gone bad! Only cost me $120 to fix the problem! A/C started working perfectly fine until the compressor finally gave up after some time! When it came down to replacing the compressor, it didn't even cost me anywhere near the $750 the other shop quoted me for. Thank you so much, Adrian!!! Adrian & Eddie are AMAZING. On 7/30/2018 I calledl AAA to tow my truck, tow truck driver, Check my truck and states to me it was the ignition switch That what I first thought as well. I talk to the owner Adrian And machinist edddie, they both stayed to bring it in to check it Today almost 3 weeks? No communication on there part. went down a couple of times, they both said they have no time Finally I received call truck is ready, it was the stater Again no communication as a customer I need to approve repairs I ask the owner Adrian for a detail receipt on parts an labor he got very defensive also ask him why don't you communicate better and call your customers before any repair to be approve, and wanted my old part he got angry, at these point I don't trust them and believe they never replace anything when you can't provide me with receipt and Parts? This place is NO good they can't even do a good brake job, there is only one mechanic and the rest are no good, they have more work than they can handle and they rush thru every repair DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU WILL END UP MISSING PARTS (like the missing rubber covers for my brake adjustment) it maybe cheap but you get what you pay for. read more

Never again going to this place went because my tire was flat it was gone and the guy there was taking his time talking to other workers and then went and told me he only had 1 tire the size I needed and it was in pretty good shape so it would be $40 for a used tire then took over 1/2 hour to get the tire ready and when he comes back says sorry it's taking so long but the tire I had had a nail in it and I have to patch it up and guess what I was still charged the $40 for that tire and now a week later the tire is flat and I have to go get another if I could I would give no stars read more

This place is probably the best mechanic I've ever been to. They were able to tell me what was wrong with my car and fix it for a very reasonable price. I'll recommend this place to anyone I know that is having car issues. My roommates took their car there thinking they had a broken fan (which was what they were told by pep boys) and they were able to correctly diagnose the problem and fix it (which had nothing to do with the fan). All around this is a hidden gem in Sylmar. read more
