How had I not been to Ice House before?? I have been going to DJs Dugout for years, and have always loved the atmosphere but hated the food. Enter Ice House. Their beer battered fries were amazing, and the pizza looked killer. I'll report back on that soon. Prices are a bit high on food, more like $8-9 for appetizers which I don't get, but everything looked tasty. I saw they have half off apps during happy hour, so I'll have to go check it out sometime. my favorite part was the TV screens at each table - really cool. Ice House used to be a great place to get a quick bite of bar and grill food. I've noticed that the food quality has gone way,way down in the last 6 months. First the positive, half price appetizers till 6pm. Wings are great, nachos not bad. Now the not so positive... Went to eat Friday evening. Place was busy but certainly not full. Ordered wings and sandwiches. Wings took at least 30 minutes to come out. Our sandwiches, Reubens, took 45 minutes to come out from when we ordered. Reuben had a couple slices of corned beef, maybe 2 teaspoons of sauerkraut and no cheese what so ever. I would'nt even rate it mediocre. Waitress brought the sandwich out with no fries, stating there was some problem (but not my problem) wth the fryer. They came out another 8 minutes later after I had finished half of my sandwich. We repeatedly asked what was taking so long for food and were told they were training someone in the kitchen (again, not my problem). When I asked to speak to the manager, she was the one who brought out the fries and basically just said "Sorry". We were also there about a month ago and ordered burgers. These so called "half pound" burgers were small and were cooked so well done they were like charred hockey pucks even though we ordered them "pink". They must also be trying to save money on cheese and are buying the "thin sliced". The cheeses was so thin on the overdone burgers wou could see through to the burger as it was melted on it. I emailed the manager contact from their web site and heard nothing back. Terrible food, terrible service!! I did not want to go there this last Friday because of our previous food experience but my husband talked me into it. Never again! I don't know why the place has gone downhill lately. read more

Nice place to watch a sporting event but the prices for the very mediocre food are just silly. $9 for a sandwich at a bar is just too much for me. If the sandwich was really well made and fresh and original maybe, but everything here is just the same old boring bar food. The prices are just way too high in my opinion. Passing through Omaha and needed something that wasn't fast food. This place was awesome! Had the taco pizza and the kids had a cheese pizza, both were delicious and I would highly recommend. Big place, lots of TV's and nice big booths that could comfortably fit a family of 5. Price was reasonable too. read more

The pizza here is really good, lots of cheese. I love Wednesdays where pizza and pints are 1/2 price, it can get really loud and hard to find a seat though. I went there this week and the waitress gave me attitude for asking if they still had Summer Shandy. I thought it was a valid question because it was only the first day of fall. She made me feel like an idiot for asking. They have a good selection of beers on tap, so I easily found something else. I have tried other food items here as well and all have been excellent. read more

This establishment does not consider their customers. Staff was rude and slow. Felt like we were imposing. Buckets of beer were warm. Asked to turn fans down ( blowing cold air and 32 degrees outdoors) management states... my staff needs to be comfortable this evening, the busiest evening of the year- Thanksgiving eve. Well, everyone else that I have seen and heard mentioned the fans. Not only are we shivering the food doesn't stay warm long enough to eat. Wow. Just wow. Food is amazing... service tho... no... bad liquor... got charged for them anyway... asked for ranch... got charged... never got them... bad service... bad attitudes... no manager/owner on duty... couldn't talk to them... waitress shoved $1.10 in my face when I disputed the ranch charges (1.18+restaurant tax, +sales tax) #mathskills, bartender said this wouldn't be the first time like she didn't care AT ALL. I did take the 10.00 cash back for the drinks/ranch from the bartender. It's a shame what employees can do to a business. Good luck. read more

It's a sports bar with some pretty good food. The Rusty Chevy is a great dish of pasta for its price. The service is good enough, but clearly hired more for their ability to fill out a bra than wait on a table. A great place to watch sports, get some food, and drink some beers. read more

One of my favorite restaurants! They have great specials almost every day. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The food is excellent. I only have two complaints the pizza is overrated, it's just ok. It creeps me out sometimes when a worker I don't know calls me by my first name like they've waited on me before. read more

Lots of variety on the menu and food was good. Numerous sports t.v.s and plenty of cold beer.

There are other places in Omaha where you can get poor food and warm beer. The regulars are idiots. I've been there 4 times and I've seen fights there twice...once with the bar owner just sitting there watching. If you go to watch a game, make sure you have enough people to fill up the reserved tables. The Icehouse is like every crappy bar in the area, because the people that go there are the same. Wanna get stabbed? That's probably the place for you. I keep hearing adds about the best food in Omaha - that is just a marketing ploy; no one is that disconnected from their business to think the food they serve there is even in the running. I really like the attention to detail. For example, they play music during the commercials of popular games. My waitress was smart and very attentive. They also played the Nebraska fight song when we scored touchdown! I love it! GBR. read more

Went here with some buds for MNF. Decent food, mediocre service and environment. Ended up getting overcharged for the tip on my credit card (waitress changed the number on my receipt) but the credit card company promptly reversed the charge after the management couldn't be bothered to take my calls. Nothing special enough to warrant going back when there are so many other sports bars in the area. read more

My buddy and I always stop in on Thursdays for $6 pitchers. Great service, beer and food! I usually get the rueben with fries, it's fantastic. We usually sit up at the bar and get fantastic service from a bartender named Sam. Definitely will be coming back soon read more

This place sucks!! Food was crappy... Service was horrible!! Had like 3 diff waitresses and none of them ever came back to check on us.. I had to go up to bar to get a refill on my soda.. Ice House has always been a great place. Been going there for over 2 years, and love it every time we go in. Great drink specials everyday. Thursdays are the best because of $6 domestic pitchers, and my girlfriends and I's favorite $8 Long Island Iced Tea pitchers. 2 of those are plenty. Great food, great staff, and there is always a game on there! Will continue you go there, especially during NFL games on Sundays. There is always a energetic group during this time. read more
