Writing a review because this food was hardly edible. The edamame is brown and the chicken is soaked in so much glaze, it turned into a mush.

The food was really good here. Clean, fast and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. No complaints I ordered the chicken teriyaki, and my other half ordered shrimp fried rice with tempura. He didn't like that the fried rice had small shrimp some that were un-vained. They gave us a lot of food. We had plenty to take home. The tempura was large and Crispy just like the picture. I will definitely be back.

Oh we had a bad day today so let's make up for it by charging double! As for the food .... The dressing was miracle whip. That was sitting on the counter for god knows how long. It was pre set in little cups sitting on the counter. It was nasty. Plus they were expecting real dressing not that. Yes we know it's technically salad dressing but I'm sure you understand what I mean. The food was extremely salty. They ordered chicken teriyaki, my mom asked for breast. The lady replied saying they don't have breast. The chicken was gristly, too hard to chew. It was just all around gross. They had to add water to the meal at home just to try to tone down the salt. The noddles were extremely oily. They were extremely disappointed all the way around.

I should have come earlier. Really nice food. I have been in this area for 2-3 years. Not like East side lots of choices. I tried couples of Asia restaurants not good. This one is by far one of the best in Tacoma area. Unfortunately I am moving back to north, but I definitely will come back as I still have business in Tacoma and Lacey.

This place is actually really good. My family and I got the Katsu & chicken teriyaki along with the yakisoba and both were really good. I usually don't like chicken teriyaki because it tends to be dry this definitely wasn't dry or anything I loved it actually. But I will say I couldn't find a garbage in the lobby, the person was helping a customer and my kiddo was upset so I had to leave and take my garbage with me.. read more

Ordered teriyaki chicken, mixed veggies and egg rolls. Teriyaki was great. Mixed veggies were ok but a tad sweet. Now the egg rolls were GREAT. If you are from the east coast these egg rolls are almost spot in from what you would remember. This was also a delivery order. We will gladly order again but pick up in person due to delivery inflation. read more

In this time we need to support the small businesses that we usually take for granted. Great customer service and great food. Take the time to help thy neighbor! We live in Renton but come to Tacoma see my daughter and like to visit different places for lunch or dinner. usually, my friends have strong stomachs,they eat food off the grill which is not clean and has dust on there, nothing will happen to them. Me and my other two friends got some food from there today, we all had diarrhea after a few hours... we wasted a lot of toilet papers during this particular quarantine season, my stomach is still growling, i already sh*t twice, you gotta be kidding me. read more

The lady at the front counter was friendly. She apologized when I asked for hot tea, saying that they don't have any. The food was fresh and hot. The serving was large enough that we had to get to go boxes. I would definitely come back again. read more

I've never had more disgusting Asian cuisine. We order Teriyaki 3/4 times a month and have been trying different locations. Uber eats recommend this place. 60$ for short ribs, bulgogi and fried rice. The portions were small, but it was so gross it didn't matter. Meat was nasty no flavor and all gristle. Rice was a wet blob more like old oatmeal. I ate a mini frozen pizza from costco instead. read more

My son and I were hungry, but we were pulling a trailer so we couldn't do normal drive thru. We aren't from this area, my son saw it and suggested we try it. I looked them up, called in my order, went in and paid and they brought our food out to us. The food was so good, the portions were large and price was good too. I don't know what is up with Miss M, but from the look of her other reviews she has a problem with every where she eats. This place is very vegetarian friendly and you can actually see the kitchen area...no curtain hiding it like many Teriyaki places.Its vegetarian friendly and super clean. BF ordered chicken and I watched them dip and coat FRESH unfrozen white meat chicken. Best sauce, not overly sweet or thick. read more

I ordered egg drop soup and I refused to even taste it. Broth was more like water and the eggs were grey, slimy and it smelled horrible. My side order of fried rice was really white rice with veggies and smelled like rancid grease. Never ordering from here again. read more

Placed an order through Uber Eats. Was hot soup and egg rolls. Hot soup melted container and leakedsoup into plastic bag and drenched egg rolls. Uber driver just shrugged with so what when I complained. Called the restaurant and basically got same treatment. Will NEVER eat there or place another order with them. Customer service is everything and these people don't seem to understand that. read more

Not again! All fried, not tasty. After waiting a while, service by an old dude whom must be his children's hero, but no greeting or conversation, just him and one other person doing everything. With his dirty white T shirt and the constant sound of a cleaver chopping when he was out of sight, I had to wonder about sanitation and hand washing. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean the building was, also the place was well organized. The menu had a good all round selection, The server was was very nice and friendly. You can't knock it till you try it! I got a whole group of friends to come out and try it and I just felt so proud of myself like a proud mama bear !!! The appetizer of the Mac and Yeeze?? I think was their favorites!!!!! They wanted an extra large to go to bring back to their families! I told them just wait guys, I'll bring you to the one on Proctor Street in Tacoma that's Vegan, little more pricey, but, it's VERY !! I think everybody should come here if you are one of those people who are for example visiting out of town who is a big meat eater and from the south, I bet you you would love this restaurant seriously. It's run by this super hippie laid back Jamaican style themed family who plays bob Marley all day long inside and the food takes a while to come out so just be patient! Without a doubt this is one of Tacoma's best dining experiences. Chef Shawn's team is small but mighty. The staff that we encountered were all super kind and attentive. It's widely known that Chef Shawn has a radiant personality and treats everybody in his restaurant like a longtime friend. He walked around chatting with everybody personally, showed off dishes as he walked through the restaurant, and was even happy to let diners take a peek at his kitchen (how does he make all this magic happen on TWO CAMP STOVES?!) The menu isn't massive, but everything on the menu is executed with precision and grace. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted but I've had my eyes on the Lobster Bomb for years. My husband got the "Tiny Burrito" which is quite literally the size of a newborn. The Lobster Bomb was excellent. Generous chunks of succulent lobster and the hollandaise was perfect! Subtle on the lemon flavor as to not overpower, but still rich and creamy. I tried my husband's burrito and the chorizo gravy is stellar. You could easily share this with 1-2 other people in my opinion. It lasted my husband two leftover meals! The restaurant itself is small but it's cozy and feels like you're at home. No frills, nothing over the top, nothing trendy. Just a relaxed vibe with lots of authentic touches from Chef Shawn. While this was our first visit it definitely won't be our last. Don't make the mistake I did and let years pass by before you experience Tibbitts!

Many special dinners and celebrations were had within the walls there. When updates to the menu were made, it seems like much more than that changed and it hasn't been the same since. A few months ago we went and everything was 'off' nothing like it used to be. Service and food were both subpar. Knowing how many wonderful meals we've had there we gave them the benefit of the doubt, everyone/everywhere has bad nights. Unfortunately, we went back tonight and were shocked to find the restaurant nearly empty. We got a table in the bar so my husband could keep an eye on the basketball game. and while service was better it wasn't great, food was dropped off by someone who said not a word, literally dropped plates and walked away, and food was good but not the standout it once was, drink was also pretty awful. So sad to see such a shining star of a place in Tacoma fall so far. Seeing almost empty on a Saturday night confirmed it's not just us that has noticed such sad changes to the place.

Both the female and male staff members were friendly, attentive, and very efficient throughout our visit. Since I'm not a fan of alcohol, I chose a mocktail called "XXX," while others enjoyed the Wildside Punch Cocktail and other drinks. For food, we ordered the Queen Beans, The Marley, and Sweet Leaf Salad. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Rude and uncaring, and horrible customer service, messed up our to go order by forgetting our salads, even though we paid for 3 additional dressings and 3 additional teriyaki sauces for 3 teriyaki chicken dinners, called back, they wanted to charge me for the salads again that we had already paid for as part of our meal and I even explained we had just had to have our car towed home earlier so this was an added stressor and inconvenience to an already late and cold dinner, asked if they wouldn't mind giving us 3 egg rolls or potstickers for free because we had to return to pick up part of our dinner that they had forgotten and she just laughed and kept saying sorry I am not owner. I said you don't sound sorry while you are laughing and she just kept laughing and saying sorry, will be telling everyone I know how we were treated and suggest another place where we normally go to called Jinza Teriyaki on 94th and Hosmer, way better people, way better service, way better proportions, and so clean!! Got me a chicken teriyaki at this place yesterday. Chicken was okay but little bit dried. The sauce they put it on made it to chewable texture. The chicken teriyaki does not look like whatever they put it on window at all! The place was clean, empty, big and did not feel like eating in there because the place was so empty. The lady in front was okay except speaking in another language so loud. With a disappointment, wasn't bad to try but imma go ahead and try other places. giving two stars for the effort. read more

Rude as hell, their error on New Years Day, had to pay to have car towed back home, neglected to fill order correctly and said peace basically, offered NOTHING for our trouble and having to drive back up their in a completely different vehicle never giving them our service again and letting everyone in the hood know read more
