What I like about this place is that they allow you to choose the different type of noodles you want, and not many places does this. I went on a Saturday around 5pm and it was pretty empty so there wasn't a wait. The ramen came out pretty fast as well. First glance, they give you about 5 huge pieces of chashu which is pretty generous. Most places I go to give you about 2-3. The chasu was pretty tender, not the melt in your mouth kind though. For the noodles I chose the thick ones, they were chewy and delicious. I personally feel like the broth could us a bit more flavor and it would be better if it was a bit thicker. Overall, decent ramen joint and I would come back to try other things on their menu. read more

I'm not one to usually write a review, but I am writing this partially as a warning Last night, my boyfriend and I ate here, we had a bento box and the katsudon. After eating a few bites of my tempura shrimp my stomach began hurting, i can only assume either the fry batter or the oil was effecting both of us, my boyfriend being effected much worse than me. The next morning he woke up with very aggressive food poisoning. Nausea, vomiting and a fever for several hours starting at 7am the next day. It is currently 8pm, and i decided to write this review as we wait for him to be seen and tested here at the hospital In any other situation, i would have enjoyed our experience. the food was good, and the person waiting on us was kind. I don't know what went wrong, have it be lack of hygienic practices when handling food, issues with preparation, etc..... but this kind of reaction from dining there once is inexcusable. i hope they look into what could have happened, or else they could continue to make people really sick read more

First time trying Ichitaru Ramen and it did not disappoint! I ordered the wonton ramen which was delicious! Funny, because I'm just usually meh about wontons and this first try could have tanked quickly. The wontons were pillowy goodness and the shoyu base had that warm hug feeling of yumminess. I ordered a side of seaweed salad and received a very generous portion. I really should have taken a picture of my delicious meal... next time for sure. The service was professional and friendly; a warm smile and great recommendations for what to try next time are always appreciated! I ordered my ramen for takeout, but the location was clean and tidy so a gold star on that front. The parking is generous (the side and rear are available as well) and disabled parking is directly in front so access is a breeze. The best ramen in town. I was highly impressed by the dishes. I had the wonton ramen soup and it was so delicious. We also ordered some potstickers that were so good. My only thing I will let other customers know is that they have a spicy level that ranges from 1-20 and I really enjoy spicy but level 5 was probably at my limit. Definitely aim for a 3 or 4 if you enjoy spicy. The price is perfect and it is such a hidden gem. The service was quick and it's such a mom and pop store. I love it read more

I looked up places with vegan options nearby and was pleasantly surprised to find a spot my fiancé and I had only tried via delivery. This time, we decided to visit in person, and I'm so glad we did. (DELIVERY ORDER REVIEW) Honestly, this is NOT my favorite bowl of ramen. I got it delivered, so I'm giving it 2/5 stars instead of 1/5. I ordered the chashu ramen w/ spicy miso broth, and the meat was incredibly dry... I gave some to my dog, but he left it on the ground (he's just spoiled, that's more my fault if anything). To me, a good ramen chashu is more succulent and fatty, so this place just doesn't fit my style. The other quality I look for in a good or even decent ramen is a salty-savory broth. I don't know if the flavor was impacted by the spice level I got (Spice level 14/20), but the broth was pretty bitter to me with a sweet finish. If the spice level changes the flavor that much, then I probably don't recommend going too high with it. I also order a flavored egg and it was too sweet for me as well. I guess I'm just not use to the sweeter flavors being more prevalent in ramen ‍. I also ordered "bamboo" or menma, but it was missing from the meal. I was able to get a refund on that, so I ain't mad. Yeah, overall, just not the ramen place for me. Again, I got it delivered, so maybe it's better in person? This place is fire! I had the Ichitaru ramen (non-spicy) and the presentation was wonderful, the flavors melded perfectly and it was way too much for me to finish. It had miso broth, bean sprouts, ramen that looked like Top Ramen but was sooo tasty, green onions, a thin pork "slab", and some other stuff I just don't remember (I'm sorry you'll have to look at the menu). My two boys, who are adults, loved it too. One of them got the fried chicken ramen-spicy, at a 10 out of 20 on the spicy scale and he had trouble eating it, it was so spicy so be careful if you order it spicy. The Garlic Bomb Spicy Miso #4 Spice was a wonderful bowl of Ramen. Definitely garlicky, and definitely spicy--but for me, comfortably so. If you just want a mild kick, I suggest keeping it at a 1 or 2. It comes with a thin slice of chasu, bamboo shoots and thinly long sliced scallions. I wish that it came with maybe, at least, another piece of meat. Also, the thinly sliced scallions get very easily stuck to your teeth, so although aesthetically pretty, it can be a bit hard to eat. The broth of the Chicken Ramen is flavorful (and that's at a 0 spice) and the other Ramens that were ordered were also good. I don't think you can go wrong with any choice or preference. The Takoyaki is crispy and not very strong on the Octupus flavor. I wish there was maybe more flavor or more sauce. But it was still alright. The service was efficient and friendly. I had Ichitaru Ramen bookmarked after a coworker recommended it, and decided to check it out for lunch. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall a bit removed from the street, but has plentiful parking. The interior is not that big, but has seats including individual stalls with retractable screens. Service was good throughout the meal. I placed my ramen order and it was delivered through the above mentioned "window." The garlic bomb ramen was truly very garlicky, with both a scoop of fresh pureed garlic as well as lots of fried garlic slices. I love garlic so was glad that it was actually garlicky enough. I opted for thick noodles (not stated on menu but there is a $1 upcharge for thick noodles, I didn't find out until I got my bill) which were nice and chewy, and spicy miso broth (medium spice level) which was creamy, flavorful, and actually not all that spicy to me. The miso flavor was on the lighter side in my opinion too. I added an additional topping of corn. The bowl is deep and the noodle portion pretty generous, so it was definitely filling. Prices were also very reasonable, $10-15 for most ramen. Overall, a solid ramen with good noodles, I just wish they also had tonkotsu broth! This is a small hole in the wall. They have a counter you can sit at where there's dividers and a curtain where they serve your food. It's really cool. Also a few regular tables. Tried the first challenge I have ever tried. It's the Spicy challenge Where if you eat a whole bowl of level 20 spice ramen and pay for the Ramen, you get your picture on the board and you get free unlimited toppings for life. Surprisingly the Ramen was not that spicy, the reason that it was really difficult for me, a small Asian girl to finish the challenge was because of the amount the volume of the Ramen. It look like it was a normal size Rahman but I usually don't finish my bowls It was a fun challenge. 5/5 Food 3.5/5 The broth is not as good as Kitakata, but way better than slurpin' Ramen. It was a thicker broth, that was richer but doesn't taste as perfected. The noodles were a nice egg noodles instead of the lighter kind of noodles uses. Absolutely delicious ramen! Recently, I have been binge-watching Naruto and for the first time in my life, I decided to try ramen to see what all the fuss was about. Okay, I understand. It's really good. If you think ramen is cup of noddles... Technically, it is... but... The ramen here is like Mike Tyson in his prime throwing a punch, y'know. Then you watch a kid throw his first punch ever, y'know. Technically, that's a punch. Technically. Not a Mike Tyson punch, but definitely... it's a punch. This ramen punches your taste buds with FLAVOR like Mike Tyson punches his opponents in boxing! Mmm, delicious. It's a different level. Now onto the service... I've been here 4 times already. First time was so long ago, I don't remember. Second and third service were quick and on point, handing me the check as I finished the ramen, and asking me if I was ready almost immediately as I sat the menu down and started using my phone. Perfectly timed. Today, the waiter was a bit slow with the check... technically. I had to make it absolutely obvious to him I was done with my food before he asked me, but I think he was busy with someone else's order too. So like, not perfectly timed but... Still 9.999/10. I don't know, this place is pretty perfect but I don't know ramen much. I've tried Slurping Ramen on Beach, but this ramen is far superier in taste, spiciness difference levels (Slurping Ramen has 3 spicy levels, this place has 20!) Unfortunately, this place closes too early for me so I have to go to Slurping Ramen during the weekdays. Also, the egg is cooked to perfection each time. Super delicious! And for the ambiance, I don't really know. It's nice, I suppose. I go in, order my food, and watch Naruto. So I don't pay attention to that stuff. But I will tell you if you come solo, your experience will be the most unique dining experience you've ever had in your life. You'll be seated at the bar, for lack of a better term. And they have these windows the slide up and they deliver the food directly to you. It's actually pretty cool. Like I've NEVER had food served this way EVER. The very first time - it startled me a bit. But I'm a nervous/anxious person. So it probably won't startle you if you're reading this. Anyways, that's my review. I really love this place. Oh, I forgot the cons. There's two cons I can think of. First con is the chashu pork. They are extremely large slices of pork compared to Slurping Ramen. Because of this, it's kind of difficult to cut the pork in pieces to eat with the ramen. But I'm sure, as a novice ramen eater, this is a lack of skill and knowledge. This con aside is heavily outweighed by the pro of the fact that the chashu pork is extremely large slices and it's a lot of protein and meat and i love protein and meat. I'm not going to complain about getting more meat in my ramen. Second con is... well, I personally don't like pork. And I don't like sea food. And I've never had chicken that tasted good, and those are the only meats available. I wish they offered beef as a meat option. I don't know why they don't, but neither does Slurping Ramen. So I think perhaps it's a ramen thing. Beef ain't supposed to go in ramen. I don't know, I'm not Japanese and I don't eat ramen. I'm Italian and I eat spaghetti. There are some meats you don't put in spaghetti as an Italian. Or pizza... you don't put pineapple on pizza. Margherita pizzas only! Haha, I kid I kid. I actually like pineapple on pizza, fight me. But all jokes aside, I really wish they offered beef. So really... There's not really many cons to this place when you think about it. Absolutely incredible all around meal and service! Was staying in Cypress one night after flying in and we were just wanting something filling to unwind from traveling all day. Thankfully this was about a mile from our hotel in a small strip center with about 3-4 other businesses. We got Pork Buns and Spicy Garlic Edamame for appetizers which were both mouth watering. I was a little intimidated by the amount of differing Ramen's on the menu but our server walked me through after hearing my preferences and spice levels.
