For my first time at Mymen, I would say the experience was overall mid and nothing particularly stood out. I tried the mazemen ramen, and while it was not bad, I have definitely had better. The bowl itself was pretty simple and didn't come with many topping options, which made it feel less exciting compared to other places. The ramen noodles were cooked well and had a good texture, but I felt like the sauce was a little too salty for my preference. It overpowered some of the other flavors instead of creating a more balanced taste. I was expecting something a bit more memorable, especially for a specialty mazemen dish. The restaurant itself was fine and straightforward, but nothing really made it stand out from other ramen spots. Overall, it was a decent first experience. I wouldn't say it's bad, but it's probably not at the top of my list. I might come back if I'm in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Tonkotsu Ramen with extra ramen and black garlic oil

Last night a few friends and I went out to eat. We weren't certain where we wanted to go, but we ended up craving ramen. So we decided to try Mymen Ramen. I can only start with the old saying "nothing is for free." Mymen Ramen embraces this to a fault. Where some places would give you complementary toppings or even lemon for your water, they do not. So understand that you may want to add to the flavors of your meal, but it does cost. Now that is out of the way, I can only say that I felt bad for our host as she was running the front by herself. She was seating people, busing tables, taking orders and serving the customers their meals. We were met with a very hospitable personality, but there is only so much a single person can do at one time. So it took nearly an hour and a half to get seated and served. Once we started to receive our order, it was very flavorful. As we started with takoyaki, and chicken karaage. Both of which were good, but the next appetizer was the impossible gyoza. These weren't bad, but not the same as your standard meat fill gyoza. Maybe the chicken skin wrapped would have been a better choice. As for the main meal, I chose the tonkotsu ramen, and added black garlic oil, and extra ramen. I do love my garlic in my tonkotsu ramen, but all this was an additional $8, up grade. As for the ambiance it was a small dining area, so not overly loud or crowded, but since seating is limited, there was a bit of a wait. Once seated it was comfortable and welcoming. So it was hard to share such an experience. I could see wanting to try some of their other offerings, but the pricing for every bit makes it hard to feel this dining experience is right for such a comfort food. Ramen to me should be a comfort food, that makes you feel at home. I don't mind paying for a good meal, but what is an included condiment at other establishments, it isn't so at Mymen. Enjoy!!

My friend put me onto Mymen Ramen, and it has become my favorite spot to get mazesoba. I'm actually surprised this place isn't as well-known as other spots. The restaurant is pretty small and intimate. It's located in a pretty small plaza, but parking wasn't too difficult to find. It's never been too crowded every time I've paid a visit, so I never had to wait to get seated. FOOD: Mymen Mazesoba (5/5) - Very delicious dry noodle dish. In addition to a delightful umami, it leans into a prominent garlic flavor that I, a person who believes there's no such thing as too much garlic, thoroughly enjoyed. The noodles have a wonderful, firm, and bouncy texture that holds the sauce coating well. I also like to pay a little extra to make this dish spicy. SERVICE: The staff are really nice and helpful. My only slight qualm with this place is that your food takes a hot minute to come out, even when there's not a large crowd. I would say the food is worth it, though, and the wait isn't even that bad.

I was too hungry to take a picture of the rest but THE CHICKEN KARAGE AND TAKOYAKI HIT THE SPOT VERY JUICY AND CRISP AND TENDER! The tonkatsu ramen was very creamy and well done and the dry noodle dish they had had a strong umami flavor with a perfect sousvide egg and they give you a small portion of rice after to soak up the seasoning! A lovely Japanese couple run this shop and they are very kind too! I'll definitely come back!

i love mymen!! super close to me so i like going whenever i'm craving ramen. good amount of seating inside but the parking lot can get a bit crowded. the owner is always so kind as well! tonkotsu ramen is super yummy! the broth is nice and rich, not lacking in flavor at all. the pork belly is sliced thinly which i enjoy! it can be pretty thick from other places. the hot chicken bao bun is also yummy, i love the slaw and pickled cucumbers inside. overall a solid spot if you're in the area and craving ramen!!

Amazing karaage, crispy and juicy all at once. Ramen was just the right firmness. Broth was light yet flavorful. Service excellent

TLDR *.* Cutely decorated restaurant. Crispy chicken karaage big pieces. Delicious spicy udon like noodle texture mazemen. AMBIANCE & SERVICE The restaurant has such a cozy vibe. They had figurines in the front of the store and a bookshelf with a manga collection in the corner. The staff are all really kind and friendly. They seemed like they cared about the customers experience. FOOD I got the Chicken Karaage and Mymen Mazesoba (spicy level 3). The chicken karaage skin was so crispy, and the chicken thigh was so juicy. The Mymen Mazesoba spicy level 3 was actually really spicy but my spice tolerance is pretty high, so I recommend level 1-2 if you want it spicy. The noodles were a udon texture. The flavor was beefy and fishy in the best way. The fresh green onions and garlic make it so bright.

Not that many customers yet the service was still attentive and understanding. Granted it was 10 PM on a weekday yet it was still open late for a ramen shop! The broth was amazing, a clear indicator for the ramen to be good! Good option to swap out thin noodles for thick noodles for $2 extra dollars. Price increased over the years so reasonable. If you were considering of getting the jalapeno on the side for either the level one or adding on the spicy paste, just get the level one because it already comes with the jalapeno and it's on the same spice level as adding in the paste on the side ($1 vs $2). Had to change it with the server and she was very flexible. Also they have the option to add black garlic oil on the side to your broth, you have to pour it yourself after and it's not a lot but having that as a side adds flavor to the broth! The tonkotsu broth itself was already rich and savory if you wanted it as is. Cleared the bowl

I think the food is ok. Little hole in the wall behind Hmart. Staff was friendly and attentive. Lots of parking and no wait.

I stopped coming here because it got wayyyy too expensive... $18 for a ramen bowl on top of adding spice level in which you get charged for along with toppings that you want to add already puts a ramen bowl at $20+. I used to get their geso karage a lot but I don't think I can justify paying $12 for 6 pieces.... In total for 1 person it would already cost roughly $35-40 which I don't think is worth. Service is never really slow but I can't justify spending that much on myself or let along with my partner/friends. Not quite sure if the business is still busy as it was before with the new prices

I am addicted! I don't care how far you are, you have to come. Everything is delcious and you can taste that it is made fresh in house! Must try: mazesoba, tonkatsu ramen, karaage and the bao buns...but everything is amazing!! Great and kind service and cute little spot! You're missing out if you haven't been!

Mymen is a cozy little mazemen/ramen shop! Lots of warm, homestyle vibes inside with a wall of mangas by the register. Pretty small space with a handful of tables for seating, maybe 6-8 tables? There was one server taking orders for the whole restaurant, so service was understandably a bit slow, but kind and attentive nonetheless! We ordered the Mymen Mazemen, Tonkatsu Ramen, and Karaage. Karaage was crispy and juicy! Seasoned pretty well and satisfying. My only gripe was that it didn't come with sauce, which was an up charge of $2. The Tonkatsu Ramen was decent! The broth was creamy and rich, but didn't have too much going on flavor wise. Noodles were a great texture though! The Mymen Mazemen was also pretty good. Portion was large, and the garlic and green onion flavors were strong. I found it to be a bit on the sweeter side, which is different from the Mazemen I've had at Mogu Mogu and Menya Hanabi. I would've liked it a bit more savory, and I was bummed that adding spice was also an upcharge. Overall, the food was decent! Didn't blow me away, and a bit pricier than other Mazemen/ramen shops.

Since it was our 2nd visit here, we didn't remember the egg noodles until my bowl came out. We offered to pay for that bowl and taking it to go while they just made a new one for us that was 100% vegan. He said it was fine and they would just remake it. When his food came out, the server lectured us about next time to let him know of any "special requests" that we had ahead of time even though he did mention he was VEGAN when ordering. I nicely informed him we had only been there 1 other time so didn't remember that the noodles were egg noodles. My boyfriend also chimed in saying that we knew it was our mistake and was why we offered to pay for that bowl to go and have them make another one. The server said it wasn't a big deal but continued lecturing us and stating they had to waste an entire bowl of ramen. When my boyfriend received his bowl it was clear to see that they didn't throw it away as the server claimed since his bowl was extremely messy. It looked like the kitchen was upset with us and made the bowl with anger as the toppings were all over the place. While we really enjoyed our first visit, we'll never come back.

The chashu just has more flavor and pairs better with the ramen in my opinion. If you're deciding between the two, I'd go chashu every time. Overall, this is a solid spot for handrolls and sushi and I recommend coming here if you want something on the lighter side that isn't too heavy compared to the other spots in Rodeo 39! A 7.5/10

It's def more hidden since it's in a business buiding, but there was still a full house when we visited on a Thurs evening for dinner. We waited around 20 mins to be seated. The ordering process was quick, service was friendly, and the food came out quick. Loved both their ramen and apps! PARKING : This location is a bit unique; it's in a courtyard area of a business building! The parking lot out front was pretty empty when we came around 7pm on a Thursday. We followed signs to get into the courtyard with the storefront. FOOD/DRINKS : Tonkotsu Ramen - Pork Chashu, spinach, green onion, seaweed, bean sprout, half egg -- creamy and flavorful broth, love the toppings and the chashu is some of the most tender I've had! Upgraded to Combo to include a small salad + salmon poke rice bowl - Salad dressing was nice and acidic, helped to have some veg between all the decadent bites! Salmon poke was okay, but I like Spicy Tuna more for sure. Quite a bit of rice in the bowl compared to fish. Spicy Cold Dipping Noodle - Bonito dashi broth w/ chili oil, cold noodles with pork chashu, bamboo, kaiware sprouts, bean sprouts, egg, spinach -- Super refreshing and cold! Loved the vinegar-y refreshing dipping broth. Not spicy to me, but had good chili flavor. Crispy Rice w/ Spicy Tuna - spicy tuna, avocado, crispy rice, eel sauce -- rice was soft yet crispy, not too oily. generous amount of spicy tuna. Matcha Latte w/ Azuki Boba - i like to get this when i dine here -- it's not a strong fancy coffeeshop "double matcha" by any means, but it's not trying to be one. It's a nice creamy matcha drink with red bean flavor thrughout and boba at the bottom. I like it as a sweet treat after all the savory foods!

There isn't a huge amount of space/seating but I was able to be seated immediately for my party of two for Friday dinner. The menu here is pretty limited but they seem to do each item really well. The tonkotsu ramen and salmon poke bowl were so flavorful and with good portions. Be prepared for an auto-gratuity/surcharge of 17%. It seems there was text on the menu about how to bypass it, but they blocked it out in marker so it's not avoidable.

The manager Anthony was very attentive and so were the servers I think it was Lisa and Anthony lol? I got the shoyu on fire (creature of habit) and everything was 10/10! The staff stayed attentive even during the rush and the food still came out fast! There's plenty of seating indoors and out so no worries there. Definitely one of my go-to ramen spots whenever I'm in the area! Would definitely recommend!

What a disaster. We're longtime Silverlake Ramen fans and have had great experiences at multiple…read morelocations (Cerritos, La Habra, original LA spot), which made last night especially disappointing. We ordered three Blaze Ramen combos, and unfortunately, all three had issues. One bowl (tofu + added corn) came out with pork and no corn. Another (chicken, no corn) came with pork and corn. By that point, my boyfriend didn't want to send the entire bowl back, so he just asked for a side of chicken and removed the pork himself. The third bowl (chicken, corn, mild, no bean sprouts) came with bean sprouts and an overwhelming amount of chili. After dealing with the first two orders, I didn't even want to send it back--I just didn't eat. It was frustrating, especially since we know how good this place can be. The only bright spot was the pork buns--they were excellent as always. Would have been a one-star experience otherwise.
