He is a multi award winning artist and even has 2 Guiness World Records. He will take breaks when necessary and work till the piece is finished. I came here Friday the 13th for a small flash tattoo and this place was packed! in my personal experience, normally the feeling I get from parlors is that the customer is kind of an inconvenience to the tattooers, they are all too happy to take the money but not to polite in dealing with the customer. This place is not that way. They were polite and friendly and calm in managing all these people that wanted to get some quick ink. There was a nice lady working the desk who kept it all in line and it was fair, you go on a list and wait your turn. She would even call people who weren't there to let them know they were up. That kind of service is really unheard of in the tattoo world, again my personal experiences. My wife and I got our work done by Johnny and he was very nice and courteous. Had a very light touch and I would seriously consider getting some more work done from him. I will be coming back here as I was impressed off of this short encounter. read more

They quoted us an hour and we ended up waiting 2 and a half and still had 3 people in front of us so we left. He is the full package. He is a great person, a chill guy, and a wonderful tattoo artist that pumps out some of the best tattoos I have ever seen. The tattoo that he put on my wife was a doe similar to the one from Harry Potter with an explosion of color making look more like a art installation than a tattoo. Everyone that sees it is immediately impressed! He also did the Hogwarts Castle on her leg and it looks amazing. We will definitely continue to work with Hollis. I have been looking for a new tattoo artist for some time now. I had some older work that I wanted either covered up or redone. I met several different "artists" that made me feel like changing my previous tattoo work would be a hassle and that I could only pick something really busy to cover it up like a snake or dragon, etc. K-ta was the first artist that I met that made me feel comfortable about my tattoo related goals. She took the time to look at my work and discuss options with me. She ended up doing a cover up for me and I couldn't be more happy with it. I only gave her an idea of the things I wanted to incorporate into the cover up and she pretty much free handed the entire thing as she tattooed. She told me that she liked doing cover ups because she enjoyed the challenge and because it made her feel good when her clients walked away with something they were happy with. What an awesome artist!! Plus she has great attention to detail and her work is very clean/neat. I will be continuing with her going forward for my tattoo needs and I highly recommend! I have followed the owner Hollis back when he was working at Artistic tattoo. I'm impressed by his shop and happy that he finally accomplished his goals. With that being said I am disappointed with this past visit. A tattoo artist there that goes by Josh is a liar plane and simple. I took my younger cousin to get a tattoo as a late graduation/birthday present while I was in town. I took her to get a half sleeve, granted my cousin is tiny weighs 94lbs and arms small as my wrists. We didn't have time to finish the tattoo because I had a flight to catch and I had to fight thru traffic so I left prematurely. When I also expressed the urgency in time and leaving Josh took I don't even know how many cigarette breaks, that's another thing that bothered me I haven't been to a tattoo shop where the artists put the customer on hold to take numerous smoke breaks at will. That is your time your paying for, or how Josh later had the gal to say he was going to "hook it up" since he knew I had to leave prematurely so he charged 400$ for a session cut short then my young naive 18 year old cousin came back thinking that I had paid for her session he charges 450$. My cousin can finish the session he had previously started a few days earlier to allow for adequate healing. So my cousin comes back a 3rd time for a charge of 150$ I believe. To bring the price of a 3 rose tattoo small half sleeve, to I believe 1,000 or 1,050 and some change. Then I call this low life Josh, who likes to rip off little girls, at the tattoo shop. Not only do I have to deal with the snobby attitude of the secretary Roxy, who is clueless to say the least, she asks for a receipt bahaha, seriously? that tattoo is on her arm. I have to speak with an incompetent manager because Hollis isn't available to take my call and apparently Josh is the manager while Hollis is away. I get to speak with the culprit that ripped off my cousin, so I can get to the bottom of this finally and I am treated with disrespect. Then Josh says he will give Hollis the message and have him call me. I proceed to give him my contact information and he hangs up on me. Then I message them back wanting to talk to Hollis via my cousins Facebook account and Hollis says he will contact me. Whats good Hollis? Did you get my messages? I guess Hollis lets his employees practice price gouging. Not cool bruh!!! read more
