And…read morethat's not an anomaly: the traditional "German housewife" is very particular about her windows and it's seen as good etiquette to have your windows presentable as visitors might judge you for it otherwise. Fast forward to me living in the woods in Mill Valley 20+ years later: We moved into our home back in 2014 and most of the windows in our house haven't been cleaned since. Gasp! The reason for that is that we have skylights that are very hard to clean and other windows that are just too hard to reach for us. (High-ceiling houses are great but do come with challenges.) We hired Excellent Window Cleaning and we are really happy with the results. Teo and his crew did a great job and I would recommend anyone calling them if they have hard-to-reach windows. By the way, don't tell my mom we hadn't cleaned our windows in over 8 years!
