So since my last review, I was contacted by the owners friend / translator offering to reimburse me for the sub par service in hopes that I would take down my review because apparently it was affecting their business. Funny thing is the person who contacted me on behalf of the owners agreed with my review. I was told that the owners are going to be retrained on how they perform their duties. Also instructed in how to have better customer service. I have been reimbursed for my problems but I refuse to take down my review but instead leave an updated review. Housecleaning services are A+++++ I HIGHLY recommend hiring them. Them? Yes. It's a 2-person team: Kelly and Jenivaldo. I've used a variety of housecleaning services throughout the years, but this is the first worthy of a Yelp Review. My place needed a thorough spring cleaning...BADLY. They came over for the first time 3 weeks ago, gutted my apartment, and turned this place into a palace! They cleaned behind my couch, the inside of my oven, behind the books on my bookshelf, and places that I probably don't want to know about. **My place was so clean and organized that I decided to keep them on for regular service.** On top of that, prices are *really* reasonable. I have been using Kelly's services for 7 years. And they are not just cleaners but they are my friends now and I even speak Portuguese thanks to them:) Which is a bit crazy. First of all they are trustworthy. I leave really expensive gadgets, watches, money all around and nothing has ever happend. They keep a key to my apartment and come in and do their cleaning and when I come home it looks like a clean hotel room. It feels good. We started using their services for our offices for the past 2-3 years as well. We have regular office cleaning 2 days a week and they do a quick spic and span job and leave the place shining and they are very friendly and almost part of the team. Everybody really likes them including our office dog. We throw big parties every quarter with a few hundred people and after the party they bring in a crew and clean up everything within a few hours. Overall they are very hygenic, energetic, fun. They are Brazilian and they may not speak a lot of English but they know what needs to be done and you can point them to the right directions and you will have a sparkling space and if you're in the space when they're cleaning, they are very friendly. We made an appointment for an estimate this Tuesday to have our place cleaned on Wednesday. We booked it almost a week out because that is all she had available and the Yelp reviews looked good. Well, we waited for them to arrive today at 4:00pm, the scheduled appointment time...nothing. Around 4:30pm I left a message...nothing. Then, I sent a text message...nothing. That's right, no one showed up for the appointment. No on called. And, no one returned our text message. No shows, no communication, no good. We are very disappointed. read more

Kelly is NOT the owner of Kelly housecleaning anymore. Kelly moved back to Brazil and sold the business to Daniele. Not convinced? Try to talk to Kelly herself. Daniele is not honest as Kelly was. She doesn't do carpet steam cleaning. She subcontracts, but does not pay the subcontracting companies that work for her. The agreement was to pay 70% of the gross to the subcontractors, but she doesn't. She is a crook. On Thursday April 16th, as a subcontractor I steam cleaned a carpet for her on commission basis at 2195, Golden Gate Ave, in San Francisco and to this day didn't get paid, even after asking many times over. She just avoids my calls and doesn't return my text messages. On Saturday April 18th I steam cleaned a carpet at 1149, Filbert St, in SF and to this day I didn't get paid. Too bad... Why give business to a crook and cheating company that robs people of his or her hard work??? You don't want to be part of a scheme to rob and cheat hard workers, do you??? JUST AVOID IT ALTOGETHER! Kelly and her crew are fantastic! My usual carpet cleaner was unavailable, and I hired them for house and carpet cleaning after our tenants moved out of our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in Diamond Heights. They were on time, and super professional. The cleaning job was VERY thorough, a lot of attention to details, and on top of that they were fast and efficient. I'm highly satisfied of everything! I can't say enough good things. I also loved that they were so accommodating, I don't live in the city and most cleaners only would give estimates after a walk-through, Kelly just gave a quote over the phone. Kelly and her husband have been cleaning my place for the last few months now. They are very friendly and respectable Brazillians. I usually text them a week in advance to come and clean my apartment. They bring their own supplies and are very thorough. I have a small SF 1 bedroom apartment with 3 major rooms + a bathroom and it takes them about 1.5 hours to clean it. What surprised me was how they even cleaned my fridge and my compost container! Kelly and her team did a great job cleaning my house recently. I called them up and explained to Kelly what I needed done and set up our first appointment. I hadn't done a big clean in ages, and the place had a few cobwebs and dust-bunnies under some of my hard-to-get-to furniture, but her team went through every nook and cranny, covering every square inch, and left my place spotless. I'm so glad those horrible cobwebs are gone. They showed great attention to detail while they were cleaning and a very friendly attitude seemed to be their calling card. Kelly and her crew packed a wallop on our condo. We were moving out and needed a deep all-over scrub, the carpets to be steam cleaned and the (many) hard to reach windowsills to be dusted and washed. I like to think of myself as a clean and tidy person, but getting behind the fridge and stove was something I never quite got around to doing. Our place is sparkling clean now and our light colored carpet and carpeted stairs look fantastic. Kelly and Jeni are a sweet Brazilian couple that have been cleaning my home for about a year and a half. They do a wonderful job every week! I have used countless cleaners in the past and always been unsatisfied. The main difference with the two of them is that they are so detailed! They do everything from taking out the garbage and recycling, to changing our sheets, and even vacuuming the furniture. We have two cats and the cat hair is relentless, but with Kelly and Jeni coming every week, you'd hardly know we had pets. Just the other day, they cleaned our ceiling fan that was covered in dust from years of use without ever being cleaned. Now it looks great and is finally clean! They have also helped me with two moves and are wonderful. They helped me pack and unpack so fast and for a fraction of the price of the packers we'd had in the past. All of our things, like glasses and vases, were packed perfectly! When they unpacked, they were careful and thoughtful about organizing our things into good places. I am so grateful for the help! I recommend them 100% for weekly cleans, organization, move out cleans, whole houses, apartments, and they do carpet and furniture cleaning as well! Really, they can do everything! They also bring their own powerful vacuum and cleaning supplies that are environmentally friendly! They speak Spanish and Portuguese and a little bit of English too! And I trust Kelly so much that she now watches my 1 year old son for a few hours a week and he loves her! He smiles and reaches for her whenever she comes over! Unfortunately, I cannot give Kelly a good review. I was looking forward to having her clean my 2 bedroom flat because of the other good reviews in Yelp, but after her first cleaning, which took her and her husband 3 hours, I found a lot of dust on furniture (and not even just in the back, but in the fronts of shelves, bookcases), on top of picture frames. The tops of coffee table and dining room table didn't even look clean. I had to go over it again with Old English. I'm not that much of a neat freak, but I expected to have at least a good cleaning without having to move around furniture etc. and they didn't even deliver on that. I even found more dirt on the kitchen floor (which I had to sweep up afterwards) and on the carpets. I am surprised because this is the FIRST cleaning and I have had experience with other cleaners where the first cleaning was absolutely spic and span and later on down the line, they got sloppy. She did do a good job on the bathtub and sink and got them pretty white, but all the rest of the job was pretty sloppy. read more

Kelly and Valdo are, in a word, great! So friendly, efficient, and very important, willing to accommodate. Just tell them what you would like done, and the next time they will ask if everything okay, if not, what you need them to improve upon. We are on an every two weeks schedule, but our schedules are so variable they will adjust to ours. Kelly always responds to our texts and seeks to please.
