I didn't get the price I wanted so I left, no hard feelings. I drove over an hour back home and then received a phone call saying they could do the deal. I wasn't driving back to the city that day and the car I wanted sold shortly after. No big deal... A couple weeks later, I got a call from my salesman saying they had a 2025 CX90 with 37 miles on it. I was interested, so we worked out the deal over text; or so I thought. I cleaned out my trade, pulled cash out of the bank, and had a confirmed scheduled appointment to drive back down the very next day to pick up my car. A couple hours before I got there, I received a text saying the car had sold. They offered me another CX90 with 3000 more miles on it for the same price. My other option was another CX90 that had exactly the same mileage, color, and options as the one I agreed to buy. However, for some reason that specific car was $1000 more than the deal was negotiated for. I told my salesman since they sold my car, give me the other one at the agreed price and I will come and get it. I never received an answer. I was so disappointed I texted them later saying to forget it. Which sucks because I really wanted the car.

This was never disclosed to me by the salesperson at the time of signing, nor was it mentioned by the service advisor when my first service was performed at 7,000 miles. I am currently nearly 5,000 miles short of the next 10,000-mile interval, yet I'm being told the coverage has expired due to time. That is both surprising and frustrating. Offering me a "discount" on the second service does not address the core issue, which is lack of transparency. I will pay full price if necessary, not with you. However, please understand that my vehicle is up for renewal soon, and based on this experience, City VW of Evanston will not be earning my continued business.

I mentioned that the car didn't sound right, and Boris immediately took the time to diagnose the issue while I was still at the shop. He was able to quickly identify and verify the problem.
