Wilmette Auto Body fixed the sunroof and then referred me to Brothers Auto Upholstery to fix the carpet/padding/mold issue. While Brothers had the car he realized water was still getting in--I called Wilmette Auto Body back and they 1) called Brothers directly to discuss 2) went into the city to pick-up the car to bring back to assess 3) confirmed the sunroof was not to blame 4) found a different clogged drain causing the issue 5) brought my car back to Brothers...all with only one phone call from me! They made a frustrating situation way more manageable!

Several days ado I went to see Dean Fields, the manager of this auto body shop. He closed the trunk, showed me how to do it (which I was scared to do) and did. not charge for the service. Today after my children tried to use the same trick to. close the trunk, they were unable to do it. I had to approach Dean. Fields again and he did close my trunk and did not charge me again. Isn't he a Good Samaritan, or what? Grateful, grateful, grateful to you Dean. I noticed that the shop is very clean, well organized and everyone working there seemed joyful and happy. It is a good place to have your car fixed!

My one-year-old vehicle was damaged in a 50/50 fender bender (you should see the other guy!). The damage was substantial, and complicated by hip replacement surgery (i.e., no driving for six weeks) shortly before the repair was done. No problem - Armen had the car picked up at our home, and promptly delivered when finished. Honestly, the car looks as good or better than new, and working with Lakeside is always a pleasure. The cost estimate was very reasonable, and Armen worked very well with the insurance adjuster, without any significant reduction. Thanks so much, guys!!

It is a neighborhood business that has been there for nearly 40 years with the same guys running it. They know body work. Because it is located in Kenilworth, they do a lot of high-end cars. They have not updated their shop in about 40 years, so it doesn't look flashy. But they get the job done. Prices are reasonable but not a bargain. I've comparatively shopped body work. It seems most shops (at least on the North Shore of Chicago) charge about the same amount of money. For that reason, their prices are in line with other local body shop places.
