Great home town feel. Regulars filled the big tables.

We stopped on to idle hour for breakfast this morning around 830am. Had to sit at the counter, the tables were full and there was a line standing at the door. Fast friendly waitress took our order right away. The kitchen was a bit slow, they were slammed! The order was a small stuffed has brown and meat lovers scramble. You can't beat it! It was absolutely wonderful. Coffee was fresh and the restaurant was fresh, clean and the rest rooms were as well.

The chicken tasted a bit processed. I would come back for breakfast but not for lunch. Not overly impressed but service was really great.

Great local breakfast/lunch place in the spring lake area. My favorites include the Lake Breafast and the french toast!

The food is great, but they take their name seriously. You will sit idle for an hour.

The Dirty Laker is more food than any human should consume in one sitting but very good. Thick cut bacon and great, prompt service.

And I have to say I think this is lack of singular focus on just one type of food and offering too many different items is probably what leads to some of their stuff tasting meh to horrible. First, the shareables. The elote fries were completely bland. The fries themselves were soggy and limp (they're called fries, for crying out loud) and despite there being plenty of toppings, none of the toppings worked together. This dish was absolutely awful. Their chips and guac were fine. The guac was nice and limey. The chips were actually quite crispy and well-seasoned, which made no sense to me given the fries were the opposite. Maybe they outsource their chips. Entree-wise, we had tacos, both meat and vegetarian. Meat-wise, the pulled chicken was awful, super dry meat and yet the tacos were soaked through, I have no idea how they pulled that off, so it was pretty inedible. The beef one, which is a recent special, just tasted...wrong. Not sure how to describe it, other than it just left a bad taste in my mouth. The fried fish was actually okay. For the vegetarian options, the falafel was also very off. Something weird about their seasoning, it's just not like your typical falafel so idk what's going on there. The sweet potato and seasonal veggie ones were pretty good, though. Tortillas overall were fine but when you have to double-stack them, and the fillings still soak through, making actually eating them a form of labor, something is not working with how you are building your tacos. Service - everyone seemed friendly enough. Overall - pick a different taco place to get food from.

Service was slow out of the gate -- despite our waiter hanging out with a table he clearly knew. Food didn't fare much better. We ordered the smash burger, which by definition should come with cheese and smash sauce -- that's the whole point of a smash burger, not an add-on. Ours came with neither, and even though it had two patties, we had to pay extra just to add a single slice of cheese. It was incredibly dry, even after adding that cheese and trying table condiments to compensate. The chicken tenders looked appetizing but the chicken itself was stringy and overcooked. Dessert was the low point. We ordered the Oreo cheesecake bites and waited over 20 minutes, only to be served what was essentially liquid pudding in a shooter glass with whipped cream on top. Our server admitted, "I didn't know I was supposed to make it" -- it seems the dessert needed time to set in the fridge and was served before it was ready. While we were waiting we heard another table complaining. The server responded "chill. It's all good". The table responded "actually it's not all good!" Three strikes and we're out. We won't be back.

The wings seemed to be fried with maybe a little bit of corn starch and were okay, and you can add sauces including Buffalo, BBQ and anything from their wall of bottled sauces. The real star was the Brussels sprouts which had kind of a honey, balsamic, chili sauce. They were crispy and very well cooked. The service was also great. The servers were highly attentive. There were multiple TVs playing the French Open including a huge wall sized projection. Great place for watching sports!
