I normally Do not leave any bad reviews but in this case my hand was forced, My fridge was working perfectly fine perfectly fine but was flashing a serving signal I called Ifix appliances to come and service my fridge they charged me 700 to do god knows what in addition to putting frion in the fridge now 1 week later the fridge is hot and no longer cooling. I called the company to send back the technician and all he did was open the fridge and close it as say everything is perfectly fine..... I finally wised up and brought in a CERTIFIED technician from sub zero to come take a look and they said whoever put frion into the fridge completely messed it up burning out the compressor now I have to completely replace the compressor and circuit board on the fridge. EVERYBODY be wise only use certified tech do not let this Disney company come and do a Mickey Mouse job 2500 dollars later I learned my lesson. UPDATE: The management, upon hearing of the way my repair was handled by the technician, offered to refund the service fee. They told me that it was his first day working with them. They also offered to send another technician, but I declined. Anyway, I wanted to recognize them for doing the right thing. ---- So, I called them to come out and fix our washer. The guy fumbles around for a while and then says what I already know, that the drain pump needs to be replaced. OK, how much? He says, the part is $170 and $150 for labor. Oh, and he didn't bring the part so he can't do it till Monday while I'm supposed to be at work. I've been waiting around all day for this guy and I had already told the dispatcher what the issue was. Eh, $320 for this project seems kinda high since I already had a quote from another guy for $240. I don't have a good feeling about this so I say 'no thanks' and pay him $49 for basically nothing. Then I decide to check the price on these pumps myself... wait for it... Amazon sells genuine LG pumps for $29!!! OK, so I'm going to fix this thing myself at this point. Long Review: Installing a new dishwasher in my house has been an ordeal. Choosing the right dishwasher, realizing that old dishwasher was stuck and we had to remove the floor to get it out, having to remove more floor to get the new dishwasher back in, finding electrical issues, and having the first appliance installation guy flake at the last minute. But then I looked around on yelp and found iFix Appliance. When I called with details about my complicated installation, Olega was pleasant and did not fake knowing information, she listen, put me on a brief hold, ask a technician with electrical experience to make sure that they could assist me specifically, and then gave me real answers. Getting honest answers and great customer service, I booked for the next available appointment. The next day the appliance installer Paul arrived at 7pm. Paul was courteous, listen to me explain the electrical issues and got to work. Paul immediately took out the right tools to start addressing the issues (unlike the first appliance installer). After getting the run around all week, I cried because I knew that Paul was going to get the dishwasher in, correctly and safely. In the end, Paul successfully added a new electrically plug and installed my new dishwasher. CAUTION, BE ADVISED THAT THEY MAY RECOMMEND REPLACING PARTS THAT ARE PERFECTLY FINE. I had iFix out to service my Miele dishwasher and received a technicians report that said "Need to replace circulation pump on Miele dishwasher". The total to replace and install the part was $894.41! Before I agreed to the repair, I called the Miele concierge and asked for a referral to another repair company. Instead of giving me a referral, the gentleman from Miele asked me a few questions then said it was highly unlikely that the circulation pump needed to be replaced, but probably just needed to be loosened as they have a tendency to stick after a lengthy period of inactivity. He shipped me a small tool (no cost for the tool or the shipping) that has prongs on the end and told me to follow the instructions to reset it. I received the tool yesterday and followed the instructions to jiggle the pump; sure enough it did the trick. It took me all of 2 minutes to insert the tool and twist. No other tools or effort was required for me to do what iFix should have done if they were thorough, honest, and professional. It is unfortunate that instead of being happy with a $49 service call charge, they wanted to hit me with a nearly $900 repair bill for a part that is absolutely fine and in good working order. Most people would simply pay the fee to replace the part. Please get a second opinion before you agree to an expensive estimate from iFix. In my case, I would have been out almost $900. ***update after reading their reply*** They SHOULD HAVE known. This problem (stuck impeller/circulation pump) is an extremely common problem that is very well-known to the Miele repair community. My LG combo washer and dryer stopped draining- so I called LG for some recommendations of authorized service providers. The ones they gave me had terrible Yelp reviews- so I called iFix Appliances - solely based on their Yelp reviews. I called around noon on a Monday and Paul was there by 3:40 (well within the time frame of between 3-6!!) I was so happy they could come that same day- and that Paul was able to replace my drain pump right away. SUCH A RIPOFF! Me and my fiancé were having problems with our mini-fridge that we use for beverages. The mini-fridge was not cooling anymore. So we looked for a place that fixes appliances and ran into iFix Appliance and noticed they had good reviews. We messaged them through yelp and booked an appointment so they could come take a look at the fridge. To have them come to your house you have to pay $50 just to have them check it out which is fair. We purchased a $30 voucher that covered $50 worth of their work/service. They came the next day and found that the problem was the thermostat and told me the part would cost me $127. And if we wanted it fixed we would have to pay them $127 for the part plus $50 for the labor. Since the cost of a new mini-fridge was $200, we decided it wasn't worth getting it fixed. As soon as they left I decided to look for the part on my own. I found the part for about $20. We got the part shipped and replaced the thermostat on our own. Saving us a few bucks. Lastly, the voucher they have on yelp is you buy $30 voucher that you can use for service worth of $50. The guy tried to tell me that it was only applicable on labor so that i wasn't going to be able to use it since they didn't fix it and the terms on the voucher never said that. read more

It seems everyone I know is having problems with their dishwashers. The water in L.A. is atrocious BUT that may not be your only problem! Our Asko dishwasher was not getting the dishes clean. I tried different detergents, vinegar, etc. to no avail. Finally I called Paul to come take a look at it. Turns out I just needed a new inlet valve. We saved over $1200 by not buying a new dishwasher. Hooray! Paul also gave me a great tip to keep our dishwasher clean and running smoothly: Pour 1 gallon of vinegar into the bottom and leave it overnight. In the morning, run a cycle without dishes in it. The next day, start a cycle, wait for the water to fill up the bottom, then add another gallon of vinegar and let the cycle finish, without dishes. Do this once a month to combat hard L.A. water. :-) read more

Had a problem with my washer so I yelped around for appliance repair services and contacted 3 businesses and iFix was the only one to reply within an Hour. Anna handled my inquiry right away that is what you call a customer service. So I made an appointment and their repair guy Mike came on time and got my washer running again. Mike was nice enough to give me some good discounts for the entire labor + parts and only took him about an hour to fix my washer. Although it was still a bit pricey cause the cost went a little over $200 (labor+parts) its still cheaper than buying a new washer. This is just a follow up review. 3 days after my washer got fix it stopped working again! When I texted Mike he never followed up after i asked him to quote me for the next repair. When Mike came to service my washer he quoted me a little over $300 for everything, but since he didn't have the other parts available, he only replaced the motor since the old 1 broke which causes the wash cycle not to work. Since i didn't want to spend a freakin $300+ for the whole entire repair, I agreed to pay just the $200+ (labor+part) and that's with applied discount. Only to find out that the motor and the cam assembly parts only cause $30 on ebay and found a repair instruction on youtube which is so easy that I ended up fixing my own washer within 15 mins and made it running like brand new again. Its good that I didn't bother following up for another service, otherwise i would've been charge again for the labor, would probably end up paying another $100 just to fix an easy cam assembly repair . Had i known in advance, I would've saved me $240 cause it was so easy to fix, Only took me 15mins!!. But lesson learned, this experience has thought me a lot about how to fix washing machines. And business is business, they had to make money somehow. read more

I hired iFix to repair our clothes dryer because the motor went bad. I took advantage of the $20 for $50 deal and saw that the ratings were pretty good so I called them. It seems these guys have a bit of a problem with showing up on time. Both times they were supposed to arrive at my house with a 3 hour window, they were late. The first time, it was about 20 minutes. The second time, they were supposed to arrive between 2 pm and 4 pm and they got here closer to 8 pm. I understand that sometimes a job takes longer than planned but the real problem is the lack of communication. They don't call to let you know they're going to be late. I always had to call and track them down. The 2nd time, they outright denied that they were supposed to be here between 2 pm and 4 pm and tried to say the agreement was 4 pm to 7 pm, which they still did not meet. The 2nd time I was planning on visiting my grandmother who is in the hospital but I ended up having to stay behind because I was waiting for iFix to show up. And by then, we had gone a week without clean clothes. iFix diagnosed the problem on Monday but did not have the part in stock so it took a week for them to come back and do the work. We were down to our last pair of underwear and no more clean socks. So they had me over a barrel. The good thing about this company is they did good work. The dryer is up and running and I once again have clean undies and socks. They also did not gouge me on the price of the replacement motor. When he told me that the motor was bad and that it would take a week to get a replacement, I went online and looked to see how much it would cost and the price he quoted me was pretty much dead on. He also gave me a credit for $20 for showing up late. So with the $30 off on the Yelp Deal and the $20 for showing up late, the price came out to be pretty reasonable. read more

I had a problem with my Viking stove: the oven was not heating. I called several companies, but wasn't able to get the same day appointment and their service call fees were upward of $60. When I called iFix Appliances, I was able to schedule the same day service at $39. The technician came within the time frame they promised and diagnosed an igniter problem, which he suggested to replace. He also suggested to replace a burner because it was overheating the igniter and made it more likely to break. Luckily, he also had parts in the car. I called iFix because our Maytag washer stopped working. The machine would fill with water and then stop, it wouldn't cycle through. Although I usually try to fix things myself with some assistance from YouTube videos, I didn't have enough time to dedicate to the project due to work and life events. So I scheduled the service call, and the next day Paul arrived within the 2 hour time frame that was stated when I set up the service. He quickly figured out that the machine needed a new pump.
