After hearing so much about this place from food influencers visiting Detroit I finally got around to visiting during Grand Prix weekend. Plenty of people there ordering or waiting for their pickup. Staff was friendly and answered questions about the ingredients and lots of ways to customize your sandwich. I went with the original Eggie in English Muffin with cheddar with iggy sauce, and added pickled onion and avocado. I did see the double hash brown version, but thought maybe I'll try that next time. Instead I got a hash brown on the side with an orange juice. Didn't know if there was a seating area nearby, but it was a sunny day so I took a short walk to Campus Martius to sit and eat. Really hit the spot in the beginning of race day. read more

Super jammy yolk- $12 for a hash brown and sausages egg and cheese biscuit. Somewhat expensive. The biscuit was fluffy, egg was jammy, sauce was very good. Service was nice and quick. There's nowhere to sit, you have to order to go. read more

You guys. RUN to get this Voyager filet o' fish! It's absolutely perfect, and they're using wild-caught cod, which is very hard to find. Soft bun, crispy hot fresh fish, tangy savory homemade tartar sauce, dilly pickles and shredded lettuce. Simple and amazing. I'll be there every single time they have this, and I hope it continues through Lent! Also, the people at the window are some of the nicest people I've run into in the food industry. We got the make your own egg sandwich with cheese, sausage, hashbrown on a brioche. No indoor sitting but great for a pick me up to eat at the picnic tables close by. Texture was 10/10 fantastic. Sausage and hashbrown could use more flavor. It was just slightly one-dimensional. Sauce added a lot to the sandwich though. read more

YUM! This was sooo good. It's a walk up window around the corner from all of the stores on Woodward Ave. the staff was super nice, and the sandwiches are made fresh! I made my own English muffin sandwich with Iggy's sauce and a jammy egg, sausage, pepper jack, and arugula and my boyfriend made his own biscuit muffin with sausage, pepper jack, avocado, Iggy's sauce, and the jammy egg. Iggy's sauce seemed like a combo of Dijon and mayo. Both were sooo delish. The hashbrowns were the cherry on top. Think McDonald's hashbrowns but crispier and less greasy! Def would come back if in the area. There is some street parking in front of the window. Total came out to $30.10 so a little pricy but def worth it. read more

Cool breakfast spot. It's just a take out place with a window on the side. Got the English muffin, wasn't too keen on their mustard sauce they use - would sub that out next time. Bacon was good quality. Only felt the muffin was too big for its contents. I've never seen an English muffin that big before! Sat in the park just down the street to enjoy it! read more

I ordered the Iggy's Piggy in a Blanket with sausage and it was fantastic. Such a great sweet and savory sandwich that puts the best breakfast flavors into one sandwich. The pancakes were light and fluffy. Definitely best enjoyed with a fork and knife, which were included in my order. I also got to try the Iggycado with bacon added and it was very flavorful. A lot of different ingredients that came together well. Best part is I walked about 10 minutes to a spot to eat and the sandwiches were still hot. The only thing that keeps this from getting 5-stars is the wait. Despite placing an order online the night before, my order of just two sandwiches was still 30 minutes late after the scheduled pickup -- and I was told only 15-20 minutes when I arrived. It was chilly, but I was at least prepared to stand outside and wait. read more

Delish! Perfect little walk up breakfast spot. We ordered ahead and picked up two breakfast sandwiches. I had an English muffin sandwich with white cheddar, egg, and bacon, and a side of hash browns and a coffee. Everything was delicious! The comeback sauce adds a fun tang. I ordered it on the side, but next time would keep it on the sandwich. Don't sleep on the hashbrowns...! They're just like McDonalds (aka perfect). ***pro tip: give your Sammie a lil squeeze to pop the yolk before eating so it doesn't explode on you. read more

So glad I happened to see this place on the map. They have very good breakfast sandwiches, my favorite is the hot honey chicken, but the eggie sandwich is good as well. I also mobile ordered hot cider which hits the spot on a cold morning. You can order online and pick up at the Pick Up window or walk up and order. Fast and friendly service, walk up window is awesome. The food is fresh the place is clean on the inside, I poked my head inside LOL. Parking is the only issue of course, if you park anywhere in 106 you should do all right to be able to walk to it. And if you are staying in Detroit it's a must to get a coffee and a breakfast sandwich for sure. read more

Got my food in 10 mins on a Sunday morning at 10am :) pleasantly surprised by the food after hearing my boyfriend tell me it was overrated for the last year. Decided to try it out myself today and loved my eggie! Got an English muffin with sausage,American, over medium egg and avocado. I was expecting the sandwich to be a mess because of the egg but I was able to eat it without spilling a drop on my clothes. I was surprised they offered lunch options, so I stopped by to get something to eat. I got the smash burger lunch special that came with fries and a drink. I was quite impressed. It was all very very good. I didn't care for the huge pickles on my burger but that doesn't make this dish worst off. The burger is full of flavor and a very decent size. The fries are soooo delicious!!!! They have their own flavor and then they sprinkled some magical seasoning on them to give them even more flavor. I wasn't overwhelmed with the seasoning though, they add just enough to get you addicted. I ate every bite of this meal and I can't wait to go back and try it again. They're mostly known for their breakfast sandwiches. If they have a non pork/ no egg option, I'd like to try that. This place is a modern hole in the wall. They're a walk up establishment where you place your order at the window. There is no indoor or outdoor seating. You'll have to take your meal to your office/hotel or campus martius if you want to sit down and eat. Get here soon. I think you'll like it. The staff are very friendly people. Was walking around downtown Detroit and saw a crowd. As per usual, I must flock to a a throng to see if I'm missing out on anything. Oh a line for an egg sandwich, luckily for me I love eggs. Waiter in line, only for a few mins. Took 10 mins to get my order. I built my own sandwich, I'm not a fan of arugula so I took that out. The egg was nicely cooked, not over cooked, not under cooked, just right. Ask for white cheddar. I also got the hash brown. Hash brown had a good crisp and was a good size. I think a sandwich with 2 eggs + hash brown will satisfy you. read more

OMG!!!! McDonald's Breakfast girl here logging on..... This is McDonald's BUT BETTER!!!!! Better ingredients, better quality, superior taste, the food is fresh and HOT; simply divine! I had what would be comparable to a sausage, egg, and cheese McMuffin and an extra hash-brown! I was thrilled. Obviously it was the best breakfast i ever had! I will be back! I think the idea of this place is great, and the hashbrowns were fantastic but my sandwich was just average. I ordered a sandwich on a biscuit, yellow cheddar, griddled ham and arugula. To start with, these sandwiches should not go in brown parchment sleeves- I went to pull out my sandwich and the whole thing had slid apart and the cheese had melted onto the inside of the bag . The griddled ham was thick .. in a good way.. but hard to eat off my over baked biscuit. You couldn't take any sort of bite of the whole sandwich together, maybe if I sat down with a fork and knife and tossed the biscuit ..I don't know.. The egg was cooked to perfection and the arugula was worthless. The apple juice we ordered for my daughter was terrible!!!! It tasted like that fake apple flavoring like in cheap alcohol. No one in our family could drink it. Coffee was fine! Solid standard cup of Joe. Overall underwhelmed. read more

I had been planning this visit since before the pandemic. Who can resist a hot egg sandwich for breakfast, or lunch, for that matter? I had mentally ordered a breakfast sandwich and hash browns dozens of times. But I rarely made it downtown between working from home and other breakfast options on weekends. On a warm winter's day, the short walk to Iggy's seemed like a perfect way to take advantage of the weather. I ordered the Iggycado online so by the time I got to the walk-up window (this is just a take-out place), my order was ready. The egg sandwich included avocado, Swiss, and arugula on a large English muffin. To this, I added a tasty, crumbly veggie sausage patty. I liked the sandwich but found the English muffin a bit dense. However, despite meticulous planning, I forgot to add hash browns to my order! read more

Downtown Detroit, take-out-only, eatery with hours limited to 8 am-2ish (closed @ 1:30 today) M-F. Good signage allows easy identification; however street parking is a challenge. We placed our order on the website's on-line ordering tab and received immediate text messages confirming the order, approximated pick-up time (10-minutes @ 12:45 pm) and ready for pick-up. Excellent communication. Also appreciated the express line for order pick-up. The staff person working the window noticed me, asked for my name and immediately brought me my order, wafting with mouthwatering aromas and warmth. I asked if the order had napkins and utensils and she confirmed that it did. So happy to walk to our car, with my husband on standby as we were illegally parked, and find everything we ordered and all needed supplies. We decided to each try hash brown Eggies. I had mine with bacon (5/5) and my husband ordered turkey (4/5). We both found our sandwiches to be creative, flavorful, crispy and melt in your mouth delicious. The concept is intriguing yet the "sandwich" doesn't really work. Fork and knife are highly recommended. I enjoyed mine a tad more than my husband enjoyed his sandwich. Next, we shared the hot honey chicken biscuit. Lots of sauce that hold true to the name: spicy and sweet with a spicy aftertaste. Plenty of sauce, so if sauce is t your thing, ask for it on the side. The chicken was very crispy on the outside and moist inside. Perfection. 5/5 for sure. Finally, we tried the Bodego, just because it's unique and Mr.Chimetime recommended it. I'm a mustard fan so the flavors really came together for me. Loved how the egg was over medium; soft but not runny yoke. There were two slices of bologna, cheddar cheese and a nice soft onion roll. Really enjoyed this sandwich. The total, with a 15% tab, came to just under $50, or $11/sandwich. We are accustomed to paying these prices though it might feel a bit steep for a carry-away joint. Glad we made the trek downtown to try Iggy's. Wonderful service, accessible to all the attractions by foot, and great flavors. Our choices reflect our willingness to sacrifice health for flavor. If healthy options are your priority, Iggy's may not be your vibe. You can sub meat with veggie-meat options, add arugula, avocado and a few other vegan, skip the cheese and sauces, and go for a plain English muffin. But where's the fun in that? We would happily repeat the visit when we are in the area. read more

I have been to Iggy's Eggies multiple times, but I never got around to writing a review until now. My most recent trip was prompted by their fifth year anniversary. This day, they were giving out free coffee tumblers with the purchase of coffee. I can't resist free swag. As I wasn't feeling too hungry, I got a biscuit and strawberry jam. The coffee was strong, and very smooth and not too acidic. They have self-serve half and half and oatmilk as well as sugar and sugar substitutes for you to add to your liking. I felt a good buzz. The biscuit was the standard Iggy's quality: flaky, buttery, and light. It was the perfect canvas for the strawberry jam. There's some type of egg wash on top to make it brown nicely. I have tried their sandwiches as well as the fried chicken sandwich and they are also delicious. My friend got the breakfast burrito but didn't realize it only came with egg (would have ordered it with additional meat), and wished there was hot sauce available to spice it up. read more

No. The locally sourced sausage was also very tasty. I must try to find it to cook at home. My friends ordered their regular go-to meals so it was great according to them. The burger and the duck hash. I think I'll go back and try the duck hash next time for sure. And another thing, there's a particular parking garage they validate a couple hours for. So parking is not an issue in this downtown office building.

The egg were tender with the addition of buttermilk, and it was teeming with spinach, tomato, onion and topped with cheddar cheese. The crust was a standard crust. This is a solid option for catering if you want to have a more unique place than the standard chain restaurants. I liked how everything was almost all pre portioned out too.
