A really fun 7 Fishes Italian Wine Dinner at Iggy's Boardwalk last night! Out on the enclosed back patio, about 100 people - 10 at a table. We had a great group of people - everyone was talkative & engaging. Amuse bouche: calamari pizza bites & Gooseneck Prosecco. It was a white pizza with fried calamari. A little odd but it worked. First course: Trio of Small Bites - fritto misto di mar with fried pepperoncini, baked cherrystones giovanni & snail salad bruschetta paired with Gooseneck Prosecco. It was fun to get an entire plate of these appetizers. Everything was delicious. Surprised at how many people at the table said they had never had snail salad. Second course: clear seafood chowder topped with a mini clam cake paired with Gooseneck Sauvignon Blanc. Iggy's is known for their chowda & this was a fun Rhode Island version with lots of different kinds of seafood included along with the potatoes. Third course: grilled shrimp panzanella salad paired with J. Lohr Arroyo Vista Chardonnay. A love a great panzanella salad in the summer with fresh tomatoes & basil - this was just okay. It was A LOT of bread which needed more crunch before adding the dressing. The grilled shrimp were awesome - I wish there was more of it - along with the one piece of fresh mozzarella. I like the addition of the arugula. Fourth course: cavatti tossed with shrimp, lobster, scallops, chopped clams & mussels paired with Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon. This was a pretty presentation with the lobster claw on top. For me, the pasta was perfectly al dente - others complained that it was undercooked. The star of this dish was the spicy red broth! Fifth course: salmon al cartoccio over roasted root vegetables paired with Mondavi Napa Pinot Noir. Delicious! Who knew salmon paired well with sweet potatoes?!?! It was easily my favorite course. Dessert course: doughboy tiramisu paired with espresso martini shooter. You expect to easily slice through a piece of tiramisu but either the doughboys made it tough or it was still slightly frozen. I tried to get into the piece several different ways but left almost all of it on my plate. The guy to my right ate the whole thing! All in all, a lovely evening at a great local restaurant with a lot of fun Warwick people at our table! read more

I was in Rhode Island during the holidays and visited Iggy's for the first time with my guest. It was cold and raining so it wasn't busy but I'm sure during the summer the place gets busy. There are 2 locations next to each other they have a fast food type set up and a full service restaurant with a bar next door which is where we visited. Their menu is large but I ordered a signature Bloody Mary which was really good and started with their clam cakes which is one of their signature items. The clam cakes were light fluffy and had great flavor. Afterwards I ordered a hot lobster roll on the traditional roll which was good as well. Our server was excellent she was on top of everything and we never had to wait for anything. Overall a 4 stars read more

Ordered Iggy's frozen clam cakes (via Goldbelly) and was really disappointed. Sure, the dough tasted delicious, and they reheated great, but where were the clams?! I used to go to Rocky Pt. RI and order clam cakes at the drive-up window, and those cakes ALWYAS had clams in them. Had two dozen Iggy clam cakes and each one felt like a dough ball had touched some clam. Shame. My husband and I are regular customers at this restaurant and for the most part we always have a pleasant experience, from the service to the food. However, yesterday afternoon was the first time I had an unpleasant experience. My sister and I stopped at the gazebo bar around 11ish for a drink. Despite the fact that the bumble bees got in the way and fell in our drinks numerous times (which to a certain extent is to be expected being outdoors), however, the bartender (an older lady) was incredibly dismissive and rude throughout our time there. She never acknowledged our presence and never once stopped to check on how we were doing with our drinks, which peripherally she saw, as my drink was pushed to the edge because I was not happy with it. Finally, I got tired of being ignored and I searched for a manager, Michelle, who was incredibly pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, when she arrived to help us, out of nowhere the bartender pretends to acknowledge us , but by that time we were done with her rudeness, we also overheard her lying to her manager about the interaction (she stated that I had a mood when I returned my first drink because I did not like the way it tasted). This was true all except the mood part. I was very pleasant with the first bartender (a young lady who was also bartending on the inside) initially returned my drink and made me another , which unfortunately turned out to be way too sweet. Either way, I did not complain or create a scene so I could not understand why the bartender (older lady) took offense to me asking for another drink. What started out as a beautiful spring afternoon ended badly due to her attitude, which I hope got addressed at some point. I will be back to eat at this restaurant, however it is unacceptable to be treated as if you don't exist when we are the ones paying for service. I ordered take out and the steamers didn't come with broth and were covered in sand. No drawn butter. They forgot the soda. It's considered common sense when you work in a seafood restaurant and live in the Ocean State to have broth to clean your steamers. Nobody wants to eat mud! Just wow! I should have gone to Tommy's', or Top of the Bay, or Cello's, or Georges, or Monahan's, or Aunt Carries, or Providence Oyster Bar, or Matunuch Oyster Bar! Me my husband and 2 kids went last night Aug 8th and definitely won't be back. We got there around 5:15 and my husband went ahead to see if there was a wait. When I asked the hostess if she sat a man who was waiting for his wife and 2 kids she was rude and asked the girl next to her who had no clue and went on to help the next customer. I finally found him and we waited a long time for our server to come. When she did she didn't introduce herself, her name was Sarah, took our drink order and also took our food order. After bringing us our drinks we waited 45 mins to get our food. Totally unacceptable esecially with a 4 and 6 yr old. Within that wait she never checked on us. What a pleasant surprise. We found this place while searching YELP for a place to eat on the water in Rhode Island. This place did not disappoint. We had the seafood tower which consisted of oysters, little necks, shrimp, and lobster. How delicious!!! Then we had lobster rolls that came with a cup of soup, fries and coleslaw. Yummy! We finished off with a little doughboys, which are like donuts with chocolate or caramel dipping sauces. So good. Service was good but food coming out was a bit slow. read more

So very goooood. Always our first stop after we arrive at Green Airport. I grew up in RI and this restaurant is the real thing... We had stuffies (stuffed quahogs), red 'chowda' and clam cakes... just like I remembered. So good for sure. Yes, there are lots, lots more R.I. Food offerings on the menu but when you come home for a week, you stick to the basics. Include overlooking the water with great and friendly servers and you get the true R.I. vibe for sure. Came here for lunch, and it did not disappoint. I had the calamari as an appetizer, and it was perfectly done. Super tender and crunchy. For my entrée, I had the lobster bomb with a side of truffle Parmesan fries. It was exactly what I was hoping for. The lobster bisque is just perfect, and you get plenty of lobster meat. We attended this restaurant on October 8 . There were very few patrons. I ordered a seltzer water. It went from the bartender to the server. well, I thought they made a mistake because it was flat. I then ordered a diet Pepsi after bringing it to her attention. It was not carbonated at all. She dance with me a diet Pepsi, which is flat as well, so when she came by again, my husband and I brought it to her attention so I said I would like another diet Pepsi. I waited about 30 minutes and the diet Pepsi she served me was also flat. I don't understand how the bartender or the server cannot notice this. Also, we ordered our entrees so I ordered a soup and the baked scrod . So I was told by the server that I only had one side it used to be when you ordered an entrée super salad came with it and did not count as a side . White lobster Bisque in a seafood restaurant? Really! Tasted like they took the white clam chowder broth and just added a few pieces of lobster. My shrimp scampi dish did have very large shrimp and ample pasta.. The sauce, I could not taste lemon or garlic, butter yes. I had to jazz it up. Have been disappointed the last two times I went here. The stuffed lobster was completely burnt underneath - I mean black. The stuffed part was ok and I ate it, but the claw meat tasted charred. They gave me $10 partial refund and doughboys as compensation. But I'd stay stick to chowder and clam cakes. Probably will be a while before I go back tho. Staff was wonderful. read more

My husband and I Decided to come by for dinner on Saturday night around 7. 1 hour wait for table but we ended up at outside bar about 15 minutes after arrival. Was first come first serve at bar. Host was ok, no greeting upon entering. Danielle was our bartender. Took a solid 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, not even a sorry be right with you in a minute. Iggys is such a fun restaurant. You can walk right out the back onto the beach. They have the best clam chowder, which comes with most dinners. My husband got the baked seafood platter, he said it was good he just wished it had a little bit more of the breadcrumb topping. I got the boardwalk pasta, it was very good. As a longtime customer of Iggy's, I was always very pleased with the food, but on the last few visits I encountered a different experience. This is what prompted me to write this review. One of my annual visits includes a delectable lobster dinner with my dear friend on her birthday. The lobster was dry, what little stuffing there was consisted of tiny bay scallops that were chewy, and the meal was overpriced. It was $147.00 for two 1.25 lb lobster's, one dessert with two scoops of ice cream, and two cokes. With tip $177.00. A further disappointment was not being given a candle for the dessert when I informed the server that it was my friend's birthday. While I was not seeking a freebie, a candle would have been a nice gesture, since we were celebrating her 92nd birthday. The atmosphere was pleasant and we were seated where we could see the water, which is always a beautiful and a tranquil sight. Despite the difficult economic times, particularly for restaurants with the cost of operating expenses and food, this experience was unacceptable and breaks my heart, as I and my family have such fond memories Iggy's. read more

Our party of 3 came for Mother's Day lunch and walked into a crowded and bustling restaurant. Thankfully we had a reservation so there were no seating troubles. There was a special menu for Mother's Day which surprisingly didn't include any fried seafood outside of calamari, but there was - ton of options. Our table started with cups of clam chowder and an order of clam cakes, the Iggys tradition. The chowder was thick and flavorful, and the clam cakes were the perfect accompaniment. After that, we waited around 40 minutes for more food to arrive and towards the end we were wondering if our food had been forgotten or never was punched in. Our server told us that the kitchen was a bit overwhelmed, but I feel like they should've expected this on Mother's Day. Once the food arrived though, it only took a few minutes to devour the food. I had the Linguine with clams which came with chopped clams and fresh clams, the sauce was excellent as well. The oysters were plump and fresh, while the baked seafood came with scallops, lobster, stuffed shrimp and a stuffie. The side vegetables that came with the seafood platter tasted very reminiscent of what I make in my airfryer at home though. After spending the afternoon in Eastern CT, this was a perfect weather day to drive to Warwick, catch a sunset and check out the Iggy's. As we hung out at the sea wall, we noticed a continuous line at Iggy's takeout, but we opted for the boardwalk restaurant. We were lucky to only have a moderate wait for an outside table, so we could enjoy the weather. Bread with a cinnamon butter came out (though I was hoping for the doughboys the place next door is famous for!) For entrees, I went with surf and turf-- 3 3oz filet medallions and half a lobster (literally half, cut the long way down the middle!) with a loaded baked potato and corn on the cob. Filet was done to my liking, lobster had a great buttery crumb coating, potato might have been a bit overdone, corn was tasty and buttery. Hubby had the salmon with rice pilaf and seasonal veggies. Done cajun style, it was perfectly cooked! Portions were on point, very filling. Our waitress, Brynne, was very nice, no issues with service at all. Wish we had room for dessert! We went here on a week night early. You need a reservations as they get very busy between 4 and 6. Great specials! We started with the raw bar. The oysters and clams were both tender and delicious. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. Each piece was a dollar each. We should have made a whole meal of just the raw bar. We also had the clam cakes which were way too bready. Next we had the clam chowder. The New England is much better than the Manhattan. It went down hill from there. The stuffed shrimp was tasteless. The stuffing tastes as if it didn't have anything more than bread in it. The fried fish was also tasteless. The steak was thin, fatty and grizzly. Very disappointing. Before I begin going on about the food, one thing that confused us in the beginning was that there are actually THREE different Iggy's within 500 feet of each other: Iggy's Creamery, Iggy's Chowder House, and Iggy's Boardwalk (aka "fancy Iggy's"). We walked into Iggy's Chowder House and had trouble finding our friends, because they told us to go to "fancy Iggy's." After asking a kind server where fancy Iggy's was, she directed us a few steps down the street and we were able to find it. And fancy Iggy's is definitely a bit fancier than the Chowder House, but still pretty casual (see pictures for reference). Iggy's Boardwalk is a sit down restaurant that has all of your Rhode Island favorites: fish 'n chips, clam shells, and of course, Chowdah!!! I decided to go a different route and try the chicken marsala with almondy green beans, squash and chicken lentil soup. The entree prices were pretty hefty ($20 or more) but they all came with a soup or salad, two sides and some bread for the table. The chicken Marsala was really good - I couldn't eat the whole thing and had to take it home for later. There was also an ample drink/dessert selection (although I stuck with water). What a gem! My order was the fish tacos. NOT breaded piecez, but real broiled fillets. Served w pico de gallo, and home made. Thick cut potato chips.
