My wife and I se used to try Aunt Carrie's based on a recommendation from a local resident who we spoke with while at dinner. The service was top notch and the Point Judith Lobsters from Galilee Narragansett used to make the hit Ct style Lobster Rolls were delicious succulent and very tasty. The ambiance is very casual and also plenty of outdoor seating across the street which we took advantage of. A great restaurant that offers many fresh seafood options!

Entire box of clam cakes. They're huge!

My mom and I have been trying to eat at this place for years, but we rarely come in the summer and always miss out. Finally made it! The chowder and clam cakes were recommended, and omg were they good- and filling! Walking past another table that ordered before us, I thought the clam cakes were giant hunks of fried chicken, but no. Giant hunks of fried dough with clams mixed in. Absolutely delicious when dunked in the chowder. The restaurant itself is adorable, and I imagine looks refreshingly the same as it has for years. So it's probably like going to an old friend's house for lunch. The staff is super friendly and quick, all in all a great place to stop.

First time here. We went for lunch and had takeout. We had a hot lobster roll and fries. There was a lot of lobster meat on a yummy toasted bun. It was a nice day outside so we sat at the picnic tables across the street. The service was fast. I would recommend trying this place.

I was so excited to bring my put of town guest to the place for the best seafood ever not to mention clam cakes and chowder. Boy did I get embarrassed.. worst food ever I have gotten in all my years going. Sorry to say the the quality of the food and presentation of it was bad. Looks like I will be looking g other places for better quality. And I have been going here for years. Very embarrassed and disappointed. Cold food, quality was poor. I'm very sad to say this native will be moving on.

    Banana Crème Pie

Don't sleep on their dessert!!! Took home Banana Crème Pie and WOW I am impressed. It was so refreshing to eat a homemade dessert that didn't taste like it came from restaurant depot. Real banana chunks and light cream topping. Of course the staples hit the spot while we were there (clam cakes & chowder) but pleasantly surprised when we got to enjoy this later

Went here a few weeks ago, it was delicious lobster BLT sandwich. It was fully loaded and had a lot of meat on the sandwich. Service was fast the only down side there were no waitresses serving at that time. The Ambiance was average seating area and if you sit near the window you can see the Long Beach grass. Always a nice place to go to when around the beach area.

    Fish and chips?

Absolute worst service I've experienced in a long long time. Truly. I know this is a huge tourist spot, so we expected there to be a lot of people and a wait. It took 40 minutes to get a table. And by the time the "host" seated us (he's just a snarky teenager), there were 3 empty tables for up to 4 in the front section. When I got up to go to the bathroom, there were seven (count that - SEVEN) empty tables in the back. It takes the busboys a good 5-10 minutes to clear the tables once a they've been vacated. Our waitress took 10 minutes before she even came over and asked for our drinks. We waited a further 30 minutes before our food came. When the food did come, the broiled scallops were burnt, and the fish and chips resembled curled up pieces of ribbon that had been fried to within an inch of their lives. You couldn't actually even taste the fish. It was all breading. So overall, a huge disappointment and not worth the $72 for 2 plates and 2 kids meals. We live about 45 minutes away, and we try to hit up these iconic landmarks at least once a summer. I won't be coming back.

    Clam cakes & chowdah

It hit me as we were eating our ice cream that I had heard of Aunt Carrie's. I whipped out my phone & googled DDD (that's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives to the uninitiated) & Guy Fieri did a segment on Aunt Carrie's Restaurant featuring their clam cakes & chowdah. They fry their clam cakes in beef fat & yes, it gives them a different taste. Their white chowder was less creamy than traditional New England. Please don't hate me but I still prefer Iggy's clam cakes & chowder. But I'm glad that we tried the combo & their staff was lovely!

My dining partners had the fish sandwich (which I tried and will definitely make a trip back to order one for myself) and the other had a hot dog. That too was excellent! Some may not like the easy going atmosphere but I enjoyed it. Their enthusiasm added to the upbeat vibe. I never saw one of them not working. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star is the fact the ordering process - specifically the walk up area - is a bit chaotic as other reviews have written. We went early enough so there was no line and only 1 ahead of us. However by the time we came left there was congestion roaming around the porch area and we had to weave through to get out and off the porch. If there is a way to keep those that have ordered from hovering around - that would be a big help. I'm looking forward to go back again soon!

Adam waited on us at the inside bar and provided phenomenal service. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to his guests are a tremendous asset to your establishment. I would be remiss if I did not also recognize Eve, Casey, Paige, Al, Jordan, Dan, and Jeff. You have an incredible service team that is second to none. We have spent time at both the restaurant and the Tiki Bar, and most recently we had the pleasure of being served by Gina, who was also exceptional. As a former employment recruiter, I can honestly say that I would be trying to recruit this incredible staff myself! They are dedicated, positive, hospitable, and take tremendous pride in both their professional and personal service. They consistently perform under maximum stress with efficiency, professionalism, and a smile. I understand there is currently a contest on Yelp, and we would like to nominate Adam. He embodies everything you could want in a member of your waitstaff: spirit, dedication, knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine devotion to providing an outstanding guest experience. He has a wonderful ability to make guests feel as though they are not only being well cared for, but that he is genuinely enjoying his job as well. Choosing one person was extremely difficult because your entire team deserves recognition. However, Adam stood out as a phenomenal leader, and that is why we are choosing him for our nomination. I would gladly hire or recommend any one of these fine young men and women. They are truly exceptional representatives of George's. We wish those who are moving on to college or graduate school all the best in their future endeavors. We will certainly continue to frequent George's, as we have for many years, and look forward to seeing this wonderful team whenever we visit. Thank you for having such an incredible group of people representing your establishment. They truly make the experience special! Cousins, Annie & Tommy (Annie 401-241-9427)
