My daughter & I wanted to have breakfast this morning. As I parked the car, my daughter walked in and asked for a table for 2 & the young lady informed her that the person that seats customers would return shortly. However, when the woman returned she didnt even acknowledge that we were sitting there, nor did she ask who was first and just seated a woman she seemed to know before us! Smh I really didn't like that so we just left. Please train the staff to ASK QUESTIONS!!! I shouldn't have to yell out "we were here first". Insane. Smh read more

The hostess was lovely and the guy who took me to my table had the manners of a butler and made me feel like royalty. The service was prompt and professional and the food was piping hot and perfectly prepared. I felt like leaving 100% tip but ended up leaving a 50% tip. We put our name on the list, they said the wait would be 5-10 minutes. After about 15 minutes I asked how much longer and they said 15-20 minutes. I was going to wait, but then another person who had also been told to wait longer and was expressing that he didn't like the lack of transparency in the wait time which I agree with. The manager was rude to him and gave a snarky response instead of simply apologizing for the miscommunication. Normally I have a hard time complaining about IHOP but when I went to the one on Bermuda Crossroad Ln in Chester, VA, I ended up getting sick for 48 hrs. The food itself was amazing. It was the drink I ordered that concerned me, as it had never been a problem before. I ordered an apple juice as soda upsets my stomach. After a few swigs, I realized the juice was so old that it was fermenting in the glass and tasted mildly carbonated, which did not bode well for my stomach. We notified our waitress and they swapped out my drink for cranberry juice but nothing else was done. I've been vomitting in the sink and living on my toilet. I'm taking this experience as a sign to avoid eating out for a while. I really hope IHOP works on training their staff better, as I'm worried about all the other customers that could have gotten sick that day. read more

I love Ihop pancakes and it can do no wrong in my eyes. When we arrived we parked in the plaza lot and when we walked in the lady told us there was a 20 minute wait. I was shocked because it was in the middle of the day on a Friday. They texted my friend when the table was ready. We were served by a really nice waitress names Kathy. My goddaughter ordered the cupcake pancakes, my friend ordered the short stack and I ordered the short stack with potatoes. The food came out quickly and as usual it was tasty. Having breakfast at the Bermuda IHOP and they have made some major improvements . The service was excellent. My server was pleasant and checked on me a few times to make sure everything was good. I ordered the Spicy Poblano with steak instead of beef and the omelette was delicious. I had more eggs than steak but it was tasty. Went to eat for a meeting with my professor. When we arrived at 9:30am the restaurant was basically empty. The hostess SADE sat us right away. I requested that unless it's completely necessary, could she not seat anyone at the table right next to us so that we can stay socially distanced as long as possible. She said, sure. I'll try my best. After about 20 minutes, still basically empty restaurant, another hostess seats someone at the table right beside us. A few moments later, SADE comes and asks the newly sat customer if she doesn't mind moving down one table because we requested to be socially distanced. The customer gets up and goes to complain to the manager - LISA HAYES. The manager begins to chastise the hostess in front of everyone!!!! I see this all happening and I ask to speak to the manager to explain our request and that the hostess was just trying to help us as paying customers. The manager begins to explain to me that if a customer requests to sit at a table, they have to honor that request. I asked her how do you decide which request supersedes another? If I'm a paying customer and they are too, honor both or honor none, right? There are a lot of empty seats in the restaurant including the booth right next to them. The general manager then comes out - EDWARD GILBERT and says they don't honor social distancing because everything is open now - we are in recovery. But, he said, I will have LISA apologize to SADE for how she handled the situation. She should have taken her to the back and talked to her, he said. My wife says to my son, "Daddy's deciding if we're leaving or not". She was right! But the server showed up. He was busy so we gave him the benefit of the doubt. I absolutely love IHOP food, however this particular IHOP has put a very sour taste in my mouth. I found a grey hair on my 2 egg plate that I had ordered. I told my waitress. She took the plate and was gone maybe 1- 2 minutes, with "new" eggs for me. (Mind you, how in the world did my new eggs get cooked over well in 1-2 minutes?) When I asked to speak to a manager, the manager was beyond rude and insinuated that maybe it was my hair on my food and not someone in the restaurant's hair. Mind you, I have dark hair. (I just wanted new eggs cooked) I finally got new eggs cooked. A few minutes later, I saw an employee come in. Within a minute of her being there, she was talking very loudly about another waitress' vibrator and how which vibrator was better (handheld or suction cup) She was like of yeah the suction up one is the best in the shower for backing your butt up on it. (Honestly, I am not a prude, but no one wants to hear about that when they are eating.. gross) Then right before I left, the manager was pointing at my family and me while talking to another staff member from the hostess podium. So needless to say, I will never go back there. There staff is ridiculous and do not care about their customers at all. They are so rude. Don't bother going there. The pancakes were good, but I found mold in one of my pancakes, which makes me think the pancakes sit and aren't freshly prepared. It's times like these where I realise big chains don't really, truly care about the food they serve you. For me, it's not about the pancakes, it's about employees that have decided they don't care about the people paying their salary. We were greeted pretty soon after we walked in and serviced immediately by our waitress. As we waited the thing that warmed my heart about this visit was the familiarity of the local crowd. They made me uncooked pancakes. Then took them back, and gave me more uncooked pancakes. The waitress was nice, the manager did a decent job. That was the sugar coated version, real talk with his girlfriend: I'm triggered. Waitress was nice but slow as hell and left his coffee unfilled and got my order wrong then went MIA for a bit. Boyfriend ordered cheesecake pancakes and they were entirely uncooked and raw. I got the manager and we reordered them and they were still completely uncooked. He left with no appetite after eating bites of raw pancake batter. I ordered an omelette and it was crusty and skimpy on all toppings and they didn't get my order correct. I went and asked the manager because our waitress was MIA and asked for tomatoes and they were soggy and looked like they had been sitting out all night. This location has great food but I'm not entirely sure the dishes are washed correctly. Cutlery was dirty to the point where we were offered plastic cutlery instead. The plastic cutlery was thin and weak and did not allow for eating something as simple as a pancake. My coffee mug had a dead bug on the inside as well. Asked the manager when we would be sat and he just walked away from me. Never wasting my time here again. I eat out most every morning. This week my job places me in the Chester area for breakfast. How lucky I am that this IHOP has Brie as a waitress. On my first day she greeted me with a smile and almost immediately I had my beverages in hand. Before I can hardly add my creamer and sweetener I had my delicious breakfast on my table. I'm not kidding. I had eaten my meal within 15 minutes of walking in.
