Grandma Grandma's Sampler Pancake Breakfast- blueberry pancakes

Our breakfast meat came out luke warm. Pancakes were hot. Overall the meal was just okay. My highlight is walking around in the country store.

Man was I excited to have Cracker Barrel again after not having it in years, a nice warm home cooked meal for a long days end...Nightmare material for many sleeps to come. Placed my order online for pickup and was told it would take 20 min. 25 minutes later I arrived and due to past experiences of delayed pickup services, went inside to ensure my order was claimed. I was then told that they were still working on the order and would have it out shortly, around 20 minutes later, the order still wasn't out. I went back inside and was told it would be ready soon. A few minutes later, I got it. Got back excited to begin, took my first bite, cold as the grave after the sun just set, that is to say not hot, getting pretty cold...after an hour. Not to mention, after microwaving it, there was only about 4 strands of chicken. Chicken...ahem sorry Potato Pot Pie. Flavor ok, but dang, what a disappointment. I cannot speak for dining in but man, the order pickup system NEEDS to change. Nice staff, clean place, bad order pickup.

This place is consistent every time. The food is good, and service is mostly friendly and efficient. The country store makes my wife happy so I call that a solid win. We'll be back.

The blueberry pancakes and strawberry shortcake pancakes on how what it looked like once server brought to table.

The service here is horrible! Don't eat there. Not clean either. Go to another Cracker Barrel.

A group of 8 of us went to IDK on Tuesday during happy hour for dinner. The restaurant was able to…read morequickly accommodate us. There was a decent selection of beers available at a happy hour price, and they had a variety of alcohols for mixed drinks. While we did not order any apps, the selection was appealing. I ordered a stuffed burger which was filled with bacon, cheese and onions. It was cooked well and I upgraded to pork rinds which were TASTY! I am not a connoisseur of pork rinds but if I was these must rank high. They were crunchy, and had a delicious spice to them. The burger was ok. Those around me had an order of shrimp and grits, and a crab cake sandwich. All of which looked enjoyable. I saw the waitress walk past with an order of nachos that was LITERALLY piled sky high. I could not believe one person was going to attempt to consume those, there must have been a kirkland 3 lbs bag of chips on the plate! I didn't hear any complaints from the group. and we all had fun! We will certainly be back next time we are staying in chester.

Her name is Katie and she always has on a hat because she acts like a dude. If you are even remotely attractive, she will have a reason to have an issue with you. There are a couple of bar tenders there that have chips on their shoulders. God forbid you try and help them or tell them what your friend would like to drink. I was spoken to like a dog for telling one of the bar tenders that my friend wanted a _____ light. She was so rude and nasty and told me "I know how to do my job!" She asked me if I needed a drink and I said I was ok, but my friend will take a ____light and she was just all kinds of nasty. This bar really says it all in its name, I DON'T KNOW...you truly don't know what kind of personality you're going to get when you walk in. If they trained their bar staff to be professional and decent (not all of them are rude) then it might be a decent place to stop in for a beer or two.

The Half Way House is settled in a dark basement lit by candles giving a romantic atmosphere. Once…read moreit gets full it can feel a bit cramped, but this is probably due to my height and the low ceilings. The house is rich in history making it quite a special place for my husband and I to celebrate a momentous occasion. A drawback was how uncomfortable the seats were. My husband and I are like Vikings, very tall and stocky, so the seats felt too small. The average person will probably have no problem with them. My hubs ordered the seafood platter and was delighted in how delicious it was. I ordered the Black and Bleu Beef Tips with the filet and requested it be cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, it was mostly overcooked and tough. I expected the mushroom sauce to be more substantial and the bleu cheese to be enough to be tasted. I was very disappointed at what was a sprinkling of mushrooms on top and no distinct bleu cheese flavor at all. The twice baked potato was yummy, but I could not eat the asparagus as I found it bitter and undercooked. It made me regret paying the price it cost as I could not even enjoy half the portion. Service was good and yet not. We were served by three different people, including the manager who seemed to give most of her attention to one particular table. When she removed our plates without offering dessert, coffee, or tea it felt we were being hurried along. One older gentleman was very attentive. He made sure we were taken care of and satisfied. I wish I knew his name as I would love to give him all the stars. He was superb and comped us dessert in honor of our special occasion. We chose the tiramisu, and it was very tasty, perfect crispy top with the creamy underside. I do recommend this restaurant as an experience one should seek to enjoy. I believe you will love the historicity of the location, and the service will be a fine dining event. Your food may be hit or miss, depending on what you order, but I think the location itself is worth the risk.
