As a longtime IHOP fan, this one leaves me stunned in a very negative way. Walking in, the bad smell greeted us instead of expected hostess, which never showed. The (we presume) manager gave us the tired smile and led us to the booth. We decided to overlook those minor infractions for the sake of the kids in tow and always kept promise of good food to come. Waitress showed within few minutes and took our drink order just to come see us 15 minutes later to apologize about not putting it in yet. 5 minutes later, we got our drinks served in mugs that looked like the chocolate milk was served around it and not in it, including in drinks that shouldn't have any chocolate milk in it. Of course, they were served with few apologies and yet another excuse. Another drink was ordered at that time Food arrived 35 minutes later, hanging of the plates, without that drink (35 minutes for drink). The steak tips were undercooked, revealing cheep meat, too sweet sauteed mushrooms, oddly cut onions but very good hash browns. Nutella crepes were very good, which allowed me to set aside bad taste of the previous meal and post a balanced review. As far as IHOP goes - I'm not sure you can really go wrong. The bar isn't set too high in my opinion :) They have cheap food, relatively fast service, and basic menu. Although I am a big proponent of local and unique - sometimes convince and price get the best of me. We stopped off at this IHOP on our way out of town and filled up on eggs, bacon, and pancakes... I love pancakes. If given the choice and had the time I would much rather visit a local place. However, if you find yourself on Interstate 65 near Exit 5 - hungry and still on the road. The food is not that great and the service could be better. For the price your paying for the food, it ought to taste better. It's hard finding good restaurants in the Clarksville, Indiana location. The food was good and got to our table fast. The service however was terrible there were maybe another 5 tables when we came in. As a waitress I understand that everyone has bad days. Pamela seemed like she was in a rush and was rude to the other tables she was serving as well, she told us to pay her at least 3 times before we were done with our meal. This review is mostly based on the service, which left much to be desired. We came on a Saturday evening and were seated right away. But then no one came to our table, not even to take a drink order. We sat and waited, while a group of about four servers were standing around at a server station right by our table, chatting with each other. Not one of them ever looked our way. We waved over at them, even said "Excuse me" to try to get their attention, and we were totally ignored. Finally one of us actually got up and walked over to the group of servers and asked for service. They looked like deer caught in headlights. No one seemed to know who was assigned to our table. Finally, a waitress came to our table and she didn't seem to think it was really her table to wait on, but at least we were finally able to order. We didn't have to wait too long for our food, and the waitress even came once or twice to check on drink refills, so that was good. But then she just disappeared. We finished our food, and she never came with our check. We watched her go to other tables near us, and even tried to wave her down on several occasions, and she never looked at our table. After several attempts of trying to wave her down, and watching her go to the server station right by our table without looking at us, it started to feel like she was purposely ignoring us. Or did she just forget that she had our table? Finally we waved and "shouted" loud enough to ask for our check that she finally acknowledged us. I was checking my watch. From the time we finished eating until we finally got our check, TWENTY MINUTES had passed. The ironic thing was that as we were getting up to leave, a bus boy started clearing our table while we were still there. So while it took forever to flag down the waitress to give us our check, the bus boy couldn't wait for us to leave before clearing the table. The food was fine. Between us, we had a mix of breakfast (omelets, pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon) and dinner (salad, dinner crepes) items. The portions were generous. read more

We waited 20+ minutes to be seated and once we were our waitress didn't come to our table. After 15 minutes of waiting, we flagged down a manager and he sent our waitress to us. She forgot to give us silverware and brought us only two drinks when we ordered three and then forgot to get the third after we asked her for it again. We also waited 45 minutes for our food, while people who were seated after us got theirs, only to find out our waitress didn't put our order in. Absolutely the best food I've ever eaten it only took 5 minutes for my food I found a suit case with probably 100,000 grand in it. Strangely enough there was a bank robbery earlier but luckily they caught the robbers. I was really stoned with my best friend and his girlfriend which he proposed too and she said yes . They are planning the wedding in a month at ihop in the parking lot. I am the best man I also met my wife at ihop. We started chatting with the group of guys dressed as wizards and were invited to there magical gathering in a couple days. They said they had a herd of unicorns which are my favorite animal so I couldn't wait for that. My girlfriend got an ihop tattoo on her face . She loves there milkshakes also. This ihop ruined my day. Like for real. First of all, a "20-25 minute wait" turned into a 40 minute wait because they straight up forgot about me and my simp boy. It took an additional 10 minutes for them to even take our name down because of the lack of organization and sense of urgency. They somehow did not have chocolate milk which shocks me considering the table next to me had multiple glasses of milk. When I asked for chocolate chips in my banana pancakes well what do you know she said no to that too. You want hot tea well you're SOL, only lukewarm tea here. Honestly her attitude was wild too like I asked her to do the most. She also stood over my shoulder when we were giving her a tip making me feel so uncomfy and pressured to give her a tip that she honestly didn't quite deserve. My family went here tonight to have dinner and we were greeted almost immediately, the server took our drink order but waited 15 mins for drinks. This used to be a great place but the service we had was god awful, the waitress sat down to take our order and got quite a bit of it wrong. It took a while to get everything and the coffee was burnt. My splasher wasn't made like it was supposed to be and the waitress took forever to check on us. The manager didn't come until we asked to see her. The food was either overcooked, cooked improperly, cold or was reheated. The toast was dry, barely toasted and left an after taste. The mashed potatoes were instant potatoes and tasted like soap, the hash browns were bland and not seasoned. My friend got sick from the potatoes multiple times, plus she hates onions so she specifically asked for no onions multiple times and it came with onions. A sandwich which wasn't supposed to have a sauce had something on it that nobody could explain. All sandwiches were cooked poorly and it seems to me the only thing right about this long experience was the pancakes. Both our server and the manager had attitudes and nothing was done to fix the mistakes and misdeeds of the IHOP staff. I honestly don't see myself going back to this sad excuse of a restaurant again. The old IHOP was a lot better. But I have to say that for a "nicer" restaurant they have a lot of frozen and instant food, a lack of seasoning and inconsistent cooking. My last visit here was a dreadful one. The restaurant was filthy, tables and chairs were sticky with food, and the carpet smelled really bad. The service was also very slow and food mediocre at best. When I left I placed a review on the restaurant's Facebook page stating these problems. Instead of apologizing they turned me in to Facebook for harassment and deleted the review. They had also deleted any other negative reviews on their page. Don't waste your time or money going to this place when Wild Eggs is right down the street and is 100% better. read more

Wait time was long for lunch but that was only to be seated. Then the wait really began with slow to take order and then 30 min to get our simple breakfast items. Then there was a hair in my daughter's eggs so they had to take it back and we finally said they could just give us her pancakes. "We don't put high chairs with booths" the hostess said. Placing us in the middle of the room in incredibly uncomfortable chairs because God forbid there be a high chair in the 7 ft wide aisle. Our first trip was last week. We were the only customers in the resturant and our waitress was nice. Tonight, there were 4 to 5 other tables and our experience was dreadful. The empty tables were dirty, we waited an extensive amount of time to order, once our drinks and food came out our waitress never returned. We normally go in the evening because they can seat you right away and with a child that's important. The dinner menu has some really good options from country fried steak to burgers. Great staff and good food. Mornings can be a little more on the hectic side but the wait isn't normally that bad and they do a great job with all the breakfast foods we have tried. read more

I am not impressed with this IHOP at all. I use to be a regular at this IHOP and I have always loved their food, especially the chunky hasbrown melts with gravy (yuum!). But everything seems to be going downhill: lately they've only been hiring "good-looking" young women whom have no idea what they're doing or people that look like they are on drugs. The carpets seem very dirty and they actually smell. There were flies in the building the last 2 times I was in there. One manager acts like his only concern is to talk the customer's ears off and the other managers I don't even see on the floor. I've seen servers ask a manger for help and that manager walk away, ignoring the situation or they go and shoot the breeze with other customers.
