I don't understand why people review IHOP so poorly, it's an IHOP, and it should be judged on its terms for what it is. It's not an expensive five-star restaurant they don't cater to the rich and pampered (although I'm sure they are welcome). It's a diner for families, retirees, poor teens after the dance, travelers, and first dates for broke coeds. We ended up eating there several times. Our service was always professional friendly, and prompt and she went the extra mile and did not make assumptions. She took the time to explain the items we ordered so we did not order more or less than we wanted. She also made suggestions for a better option based on what we were ordering, not just what she needed to push or sell. Our food came out fast, hot, and prepared exactly how we ordered it. We left full and satisfied and still had money in our checking account! I would give it five stars for one exception we saw both nights. There seem to be some less savory folks (perhaps gang members or just street punks) that hang out in the parking lot, they act like they own it, they stop in the middle of the driveways and get out to talk not caring they were blocking customers. They were coming and going inside and hanging out by the door but making no effort to get out of the way, sort of challenging you when you came up to the door. I'm sure some people kept going or gave it a bad review just for this. I could not tell if some of these guys worked there, were relations to the staff or what, nor did I see them selling drugs or whatever, just hanging out, being in the way, drinking and smoking pot in their cars, and being kind of rude but mostly keeping it outside. If the management could get rid of them, they were obviously not customers (perhaps invite the police to drop in for a discounted meal these young men would find somewhere else to hang out.

Wall by the booth I was sitting at.

It took forever to get seated. Waiter was nice . Food was ok but took forever to arrive. Bacon was under cooked. Didn't notice this till after but under the booth is disgusting.

The food was sub-par but the service was on point. They served my neighbor nice and thick biscuits n gravy but turned around and served me white water.

Went for breakfast to claim my birthday pancakes. We have not been to the restaurant for a while and we were surprised how much the menu has changed. IHOP definitely is stepping up its game. Service was quick--we were seated in no time. Pancakes as usual were so fluffy and gooood. I'm really surprised how much I enjoyed the simplicity of their buttermilk pancakes. Husband ordered the breakfast sampler, and I got the Bacon Bourbon Jam Eggs Ben. I thought it was very good, and the bourbon bacon jam was a smart way to draw inspiration from our home area. However, the overall dish would have probably improved in taste if bourbon would have been scaled down to some degree, as some flavors felt a bit overpowered by the strength of the bourbon. Overall it was a very nice visit and we would like to come back and try out their other menu offerings.

Great server, Melvin was very courteous but the food was awful, tasted like it was cooked in a microwave and had no flavor, management was great to remove it from bill but I have to go somewhere else

Understaffed, which makes it difficult for people to get their orders in and therefore a long time before our food arrives. The sirloin steak tips ,hash brown, eggs and pancakes were delicious.

    Hash potato something.

We sat for an hour before our food arrived. They said they only had one server for the whole restaurant at 5pm. We saw a number of other employees walking around. We also received an incorrect side item and when a new one was brought to us, we received the one in the photo. I would not recommend anyone visit this location. It doesn't even deserve one star.

THIS IS HOW BREAKFAST IS DONE!…read more I'm always looking for the local flavor that stands out among the crowd and Breakfast AF (cool name btw), really held true to their brand. Situated an easy drive from downtown, and part of the Schnitzeltown are of Louisville, this apparently was a legacy deli counter back in the heyday and the original corner Hauck's deli sign is still visible. The expansion seems to include a few bars, a pizza joint, breakfast joint, and a revised deli with a smoker actively going at the end of the complex. And it is complex... we sat out front on the patio of the breakfast joint since we had the pup with us, but had I known how large the rear patio was, we would've chosen to sit back there away from the road traffic. I the menu is straightforward... the fare is on the higher side of breakfast pricing, but the portions are enormous and I easily made two meals off my sandwich and home fries. Speaking of which... get it... wich... okay fine. I chose the fried chicken/bacon/egg sandwich on Texas toast and it was... substantial. I added home fries, but honestly, the sandwich was a meal on and of itself. The two succulent chicken tenders exploded with flavor of a distinctive savoriness and that flavor peaked when I dipped them in maple syrup (they have a dispenser next to the coffee pots). The egg and bacon were perfectly cooked, complemented each other well, and the buttery toast just pulled it all together. My wife chose the shrimp-n-grits and that was just a flavor bomb with every bite. Savory grits with the slightly sweet shrimp, topped with smoked pork belly, and drizzled with a chili crisp oil that simply overwhelmed the tastebuds with every bite. It's a line order with pagers, so place your order, grab a table, and the coffee/water is self serve over across from order pickup. The back patio is open air, expansive, and spans the entirety of the multi space front buildings. There's even a soft surface children's playground behind the new deli. I was just absolutely astounded and definitely want to make it back to try their lunch fare next time I'm in town!

I wasn't aware that Wild Eggs is a Louisville local business at all which makes me even happier to try them out. On this first visit I immediately love the atmosphere of a very welcoming environment. I really dig the retro looking semi-circular table you can sit at and that also even have their own bar as they do serve cocktails such as a Bloody Mary. Our server was very nice at welcoming us and letting us know all about the menu, which has a really great selection of breakfast items from omelets to Benedict's and pancakes among the many other options to choose from. I decided to go with their Carolina Casserole which is one of their listed Signature Creations and boy oh boy was it delicious! Water and menus were brought quickly. Coffee was served up nice and hot. Then, our group of 4 placed our orders. It wasn't long before our meals were served. Again, nice and hot. At least, I assume they were hot. We wouldn't know, as we had no utensils. We asked our server for setups and it took a good five minutes before they were brought to us. Then another several minutes before they brought syrup for the pancakes. Friends, they just weren't that busy. One of our diners ordered a gluten free pancake. When it was served, we noticed they brought a regular pancake. Thankfully, we spotted the error. Not the server. Our celiac diner would have been seriously ill had she eaten that pancake. They took the pancake and said they'd be back with the right one. After we had finished our breakfast, another server brought the gluten free pancake. No apology. We boxed it up to take home. Ok. Service came darn close to ruining our breakfast. Fortunately, the food saved the day. I had the Loco Hash. Eggs over easy, potato, pulled pork and a topping of Avocado. Delicious. My wife had the avocado BLT. She couldn't finish it. The pancake stack also provided a culinary challenge and half of the order went home with us. The surfer girl omelet was also a hit. In fact, the only "miss" was a side of bacon. 4 good sized strips that I would have preferred a little crisper. Very good food. Very poor service. Hopefully, it was just an off day.

The menu is large with a big brunch menu, lunch and entree options and kid's menu. We started with the s'mores hot chocolate and apple cider mimosas. The hot chocolate was pipping hot and delicious topped with toasted marshmallows. The apple cider mimosas had a weird flavor, I would recommend going with another fruit juice option. We ordered the kids buttered noodles with waffle on the side - big wide noodles that were swimming in butter. My son thought it was too much butter but loved the type of noodles. The waffle was good - not very sweet but he enjoyed it. My daughter loved the chicken and waffles entree, but I thought the portion was a bit small for an adult entree. The chicken was freshly breaded but the waffle was on the smaller side. The sandwiches and soups were delicious - we had the club which was filled with ham and turkey and the perfect amount of mayo. The tomato soup was creamy and so satisfying. The Ruben was a good size and stuffed with corned beef and melty cheese! Overall we had a great experience- a bit on the pricey side.
