Every now and then, a restaurant has an off night. It happens. And what separates the good operators from the bad is how they handle the errors. Glad to say, this Outback Steakhouse really steps up when they trip up. First, there was a good 15 minute delay before serving our Bloomin' Onion. Jesse, our waiter, when he recognized the delay apologized, went back into the kitchen and rattled the cage, so to speak. Minutes later, the owner came by, apologized, and delivered a nice, hot, non-greasy Bloomin' Onion. Personalized service at its best. The next setback was with my wife's order. She ordered her usual Sirloin medium rare with a sweet potato. She was ok with honey butter and cinnamon, but nixed the brown sugar. When her meal was served, the steak was cold and the potato had the brown sugar. She sent it back, and again, the owner came by with her fully replaced meal. Now, what went right? Everything else. As I noted, the Bloomin' Onion was not greasy. It was hot & crisp. Our group of four devoured it. Next up was our side wedge salad. Excellent. A good sized wedge ( it could have been a full sized salad elsewhere), covered with bacon bits, blue cheese and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar that so many restaurants don't seem to realize is an essential part of the wedge. I went with the combo of 1/2 rack of ribs and a 6 oz sirloin. Fall off the bone ribs, with a maple glaze. The steak was cooked to order and served warm. The baked potato was done perfectly. Nice and "fluffy". One friend ordered the ribeye, his favorite cut of beef. He was a happy camper. His wife went with the sirloin and also cleaned her plate. Me? I've got leftovers for another dinner. Despite the "setbacks" we really enjoyed our dinner. Management went out of their way to compensate for the minor issues. That's how well run restaurants earn customer loyalty. We'll certainly be back. read more

Wife, son-in-law, Josh, grandson, Bo and myself visited at 2pm for Josh and Bo's birthday. There are lots of tables to eat at when you come between meals. Jessie was our friendly, helpful server. We started with bread and FREE Bloomin Onion which was a special between 16-19 January. I ordered a new item, Canberra Chopped steak with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Wife ordered Lunch size Alice Springs chicken with Ceasar Salad. Bo ordered full rack of Ribs and Aussie fries. Josh ordered steak and lobster tail with asparagus and Brussel sprouts. Everyone enjoyed their food and we shared a little bit also. Bo and Josh took some leftovers home for their momma/wife. My chopped steak sauce had a definite wine flavor if that is your thing. read more

Absolutely delicious! My family of 4 got take out on Monday night from Outback. Online it said it'd take 30 to 40 minutes. We got there early and the food was ready in 20 minutes! We did curb side pick up and the woman was friendly and brought the food quickly. Everything was delicious and they got everyone order correct. We tried the new mozzarella sticks in the shape of a boomerang. They were so good and such a fun shape! The food is a bit pricey but a good treat every once in a while. read more

We went to Outback tonight for the first in a long time for both of us. It's a Thursday night & we arrived around 6:30pm. We had no issues with parking & were able to grab a spot right out front. We were greeted & seated as soon as we walked in. Our booth was clean. Our waitress was very kind, tentative, & friendly. We ordered the Sweet Sriracha Chicken Bites to start. They were delicious and the fried peppers were even better. We split the salmon dinner with a Caesar salad & seasonal veggies as our sides. The salmon was seasoned & cooked perfectly. Wow, what has happened to some of these restaurants? Outback in Clarksville was one of our favorites several years ago. We've definitely reduced the frequency of our visits over the years due to the quality deteriorating. Every now and then we decide to give them another try hoping the situation will improve. My wife and I stopped in for lunch Wednesday. We arrived in the bar area approximately 12:30 and most of the available booths, there were several, were full of dirty dishes. We sat down at a dirty table. A young lady started clearing dishes from all the dirty tables except ours. BTW, she had seeen us just sit down. After a few minutes she did come over and start clearing our table. As she was doing so, the bartender briefly stopped by to inform us she was the only person working the bar area and she'd get to us as soon as she could. We finally ordered and both got the 3 course special for $14.99. We both ordered the Coconut Shrimp with a baked potato and upgraded ($2.99) to the chopped salad. The salads arrived first and were generous and delicious. Unfortunately everything went downhill from there. Our meals arrived with the Coconut Shrimp way over cooked and extremely greasy. Our baked potatoes were room temperature and would barely melt butter. I also want to mention a few years ago the Coconut Shrimp were twice the size of what they now serve. I truly hate that this Outback has deteriorated to the point we no longer enjoy dining there. Many years ago it was one of our top spots to have lunch. I also want to mention Outback is not alone in this category. We dine out frequently and have both noticed service and food quality just isn't what it used to be. And that's in addition to menu prices increasing at a rapid pace. I would think if we're expected to pay ever increasing prices, then food quality should not decline. read more

Wife and I decided on dining at Outback this evening. Bryce was our friendly and informative server. He let me know about using rewards which I usually forget to do. Wifey ordered Coconut Shrimp with baked sweet potato and a salad. She thought the shrimp were a bit overcooked, but would order that again and request they not cook the shrimp so long. The sweet sauce that comes with them is excellent. She wasn't keen on the salad so I finished it for her. I ordered the Bloomin Onion Burger fully dressed. It is so big I took the top bun off and ate the rest with fork and knife. It was tasty, but I won't order it again. The green beans were perfectly cooked and I shared those with wifey. I liked my baked potato, though the skin was a little tough to cut with a knife. I usually eat the skin and like it a little crispy, but this one was more tough than I'm used to. We both ordered the cheesecake with berry sauce on top. We brought those home and I ate mine and was pleased. We both ordered an Alice Springs Chicken with mashed potatoes to go for tomorrow. Those were $10 each. We will just steam a vegetable to go with what we ordered. She still has her cheesecake for tomorrow. Outback is still one of our favorite restaurants that has nice ambiance, great service and quality food choices. Outback seems to be a step above most other restaurants in what they do. I look forward to our next visit. We appreciated the host opening the door when we arrived. That is one of those extra details Outback provides. The restaurant was very clean from what I could see and I look for items like that for review. I believe their training of staff is excellent. Kudos to the ownership and management. I haven't been to Outback in over 6 years! We out and had the 8oz steak & Alice Springs chicken with asparagus and a loaded baked potato. We also had the fried mushrooms and blooming onion for apps. Mom got the bowl of chili which she gets every time and loves it. They also got two 20oz. Ribeyes and they were huge! Everything was excellent. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted from the hostess with a big smile and lots of energy. I love that! We sat at the bar and Adrienne our bar tender was excellent. She was running the entire bar and some tables in the bar area. Everyone was hustling! Food came out in a timely manner. The manager Michael asked us how we were doing and even held a few conversations with us. I've been to this Outback many times and always enjoyed it. Very courteous staff, great food, relaxing atmosphere.

Came at 8pm weeknight so no wait and seated right away. Server came quickly and I ordered equally fast. Food came out so fast and hot. I was super impressed. Bake potato soup was good Mixed vegetables lacked flavor so I added my own salt and pepper. Much better after that. Prime rib was cooked perfectly as asked. I did take it seared but the salt/pepper sear they used was tooooo salty. I could barely finish it. The meat was so good though. I just wish it wasn't so salty. I scraped off a lot of the seasoning and it still was too much. Because food (despite over seasoning the beef) and service were good, I'd come back again. But this time just regular prime rib without the seasoned sear. Dessert - I took the butter cake ToGo and that cake was delicious! read more

This was the first time at the new address. For the most part everything was good but there is some issues that stopped me from giving this place my best rating. So let me explain why I deducted 2 stars. 1. The first I have to say is not 100 percent thier fault. The parking is something to be desired as sharing it with two other restaurants can make it a bit cumbersome. The fact that we we went the weather was damp and cold. They had nice seating outside that allowed you to keep dry and a heater. Which would have been nice had they had it on. While this is really a minor thing what upset me was to see a woman with a baby having to sit in such conditions. I guess she could have went back to her car but lugging the carrier around, I am sure is a bit laborious. Someone should have made an exception for this mother and child to have sit inside. Luck for us the wait was not very long but long enough I was having second thoughts. 2. The asparagus that was served was nasty. It was wimpy, limpy and sickly. A shoe soles would have had a better taste than what was passed as the aforementioned vegetable. Since my daughter decided she didn't want it she tried passing it off on me, then her sister. I was going to talk to the waiter but my daughter said never mind, because the steak and the salad was enough for her. No need to seek a remedy if she was not going to eat them. Now what was right about the whole thing. We all, but my middle daughter, got and received steaks. Each done to the perfection of what we asked for. I asked mine to be topped with the garlic butter and it was tender and juicy medium rare! Along with my backed potato and salad. It was very good. Each of the others loved thier steaks but was envious of mine. They had not read the menu to see the choice, and I had to fight off the hounds for dear my dear steak! Was able to get a table pretty quick. My server was friendly and attentive even though she had several big tables. I got the Koala drink that was great I had cheese and bacon fries for appetizer. The chili For the main course a combo sirloin with wings and asparagus. The cheese fries where great, but looks like they ran out of bacon and gave me tiny crumbles of what was left. Now who ever makes that chili is amazing. Like chunks of fillet;so tender and not to spicy but a lot of flavor. I had problem with sirloin, first attempt raw in center but burned on outside. I thought they going give me new one but brought it out too burnt then they tried again bacsically like the first time burnt and raw. Across the board, Outback Steakhouse can be a solid place to eat. While I always prefer trying smaller, local businesses, you can't go wrong with Outback for dinner. The WORST service from a server we have ever experienced was last night at Outback on December 22nd 2023 around 8pm-8:30pm at the round corner booth in the back. We called ahead and saw if they had a wait and they let us know that they were slow so we would be seated immediately. Awesome! The host was extremely nice and seated us. We ordered our drinks and food immediately since we knew what we wanted. We waited for a while and still didn't have our drinks... until a different server came over and asked us if we had our drinks yet and when we said no she made sure to get them for us. We then were handed our salads and sat there for another 10 minutes with no silverware and one of the salads had ZERO dressing... We had to eat part of our salads with our hands... until the same girl came and got us settled (still no sign of our server) The food ended up being delicious but we never even got our bread at the table. Our server FINALLY came over to the table at the end to give us the bill and when we asked her about our bread she told us that the person who brought our drinks was supposed to bring our bread as well.... I don't understand why Outback doesn't use stickers and drink covers for their DoorDash orders. Just received a DoorDash order that included two large drinks and both of the lids weren't on there securely. Can't help but have my mind go to the possibility that the driver was messing with the drinks. Other places cover the openings with stickers and also use stickers or tape to make sure the lid can't be removed. Seems like it should standard procedure for all restaurants that have the DoorDash service. All except Outback. read more

I hate to write this review but something has to be said about our back-to-back bad experiences at this Outback. Last year I visited this location and got food poisoning from the salad along with having horrible service. Willing to give a second chance, we visited again this evening and will not be returning. The only pleasant part of our experience was the bartender Juan. I ordered a salad which wasn't edible - tomatoes were yellow and mushy, and the lettuce was warm. The bread was cold and dry as a bone (what happened to the old bread years ago?). The chicken we ordered was dry as well. This place is pretty solid. Food is always on point. I like the Bloomin' Chicken. Broccoli and baked potato are consistently good. This last time I got the sirloin and Bloomin' chicken combo. It was excellent. Really hit the spot. They've raised their prices too much though so this will probably become the special occasion place. read more
