The menu continues to expand and offer options like sandwiches, healthy options like salmon and pot roast, biscuit sandwiches, crepes, seasonal flavors. It's exciting to see new menu options to try. When I was a kid the menu wasn't near as big. Great pancakes for a chain restaurant in my opinion. Love going to ihop when I'm craving pancakes. Theres also flavored syrup options like blueberry, strawberry and butter pecan. Well staffed at this location. Wait time reasonable and staff friendly and attentive. read more

We visited this location after looking at lights in Tanglewood. We came in somewhat late but still around an hour before closing. It was a typical IHOP set up but seemed clean. They were severely understaffed and it seemed they only had one person working for the entire dining room and as the hostess. As such, the service was slow. We made our orders after around 20 minutes and then our food took another 40 to come out and it came out slowly, seemed the kitchen may also have been understaffed. We tried the Wonka menu and the lemonade was delicious and the cotton candy was light, flavorful and soft. My burger was unique however it seemed it was missing a few ingredients it was listed to include, it wasn't bad and I didn't ask for a correction due to the time and the slow service. But it definitely would have benefited from the full ingredients. The pancakes were good, very sweet but as expected from the menu! All in all, I didn't expect a gourmet experience at ihop and the food wasn't bad, but some little things definitely could have made this just ok visit a better one. read more

Ever since I saw the advertisements for the Wonka menu I just had to go try it! I'm not a huge fan of pancakes, but the menu just looked so fun. We arrived close to 9pm as we had just come from tanglewood, but the staff was super friendly and seated us anyways even though it was close to closing time. I ordered the strawberry hot chocolate and the chocolate pancake tacos, both from the wonka menu. The hot chocolate was delicious!! I'm not a huge fan of pancakes, but wanted to try them anyways. The pancakes were pretty ok, the fresh strawberries on top of them were the best part! Overall a decent ihop experience, and the menu was super fun! read more

I have to be honest. I was surprised at the low reviews this place has received. I was there around 2:45 on a Saturday afternoon (10/06/2024), and the service was fine. Nothing I'd write home about - my server was actually standing outside chatting with someone for 2-3 minutes while I was waiting for someone to seat me (I didn't see anyone at all in the restaurant until I peaked into the kitchen and another server saw me) - but I wouldn't call the service bad at all. But the food? I ordered the pancake combo - two blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and hashed browns - and everything was great. Whoever cooked my food did a really good job. The scrambled eggs were seasoned just enough, but not too much, that I didn't need to add any salt, and the hashed browns were perfection. Once I started eating, I thought, "Oh yeah, I'll be back again." I live about thirty minutes from Clemmons in Lexington, but I drove there specifically to shop at Publix. Now that I know the IHOP in Clemmons is so good, I'll definitely return soon. I thought the restaurant itself was extremely clean, well lit, and inviting. The one extremely minor complaint I had was that the pancakes were served on a plate barely as big as the pancakes. If I had wanted to add syrup, most of the syrup would have ended up on the table. Oh yeah, the coffee was also really, really good. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but their house blend is just about perfect. All in all, I'm very happy with giving this place a 5-star rating. When I go out to eat, above all else I want to be happy with the food I get. Unfortunately, more than half of the time I'm disappointed (and even when I'm not, I'm often okay with the food but wouldn't eat it again). I would definitely go back to this IHOP again, though. In my experience, IHOPs tend to vary pretty greatly when it comes to quality, and this one is definitely one of the better/best ones I've eaten at. read more

It took over 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. It wasn't a waitress, it was a busser. I had to flag down our waitress to come to our table for service. We finally got to place our orders and they couldn't put in my child's order off of the menu because it "wasn't an option on her tablet". The manager did address the situation by adjusting our bill and giving us 2 orders of donut dippers. This is the second time we have waited an unreasonable amount of time for service. Hoping things are being discussed with management and staff to improve these things. Hiring additional staff or adjusting scheduling may help. read more

The place had a strange smell just outside the front door but the inside was very clean. The ambience would have been better if not for the two African American men talking real loud about homosexuals and everything else in the world which was allowed to go on for. The waitress was nice but gave me the impression she didn't like serving us. Surprised at the overall reviews for this location, because my experience has been very positive! I've been a few times. And yes it is IHOP, but this is IHOP done well! Any place can do pancakes, but what surprised me about this location was the impressive quality of the hash browns and breakfast potatoes, which were hot, crisp, and flavorful. The restaurant was clean and certainly not any worse off than a typical chain place. The servers I've encountered have been very friendly, and the speed was good too. Love that they kept the coffee flowing as well! read more

I placed an order online for 5 meals but only received 3. I then called the restaurant to explain that my brother was on his way back. When he arrived they provided the missing meals but the woman berated my brother saying she knows we received the meals. Learning this I called back only to discover the woman was the manager. She rudely insisted the order was correct and refused to accept that they made an error. Needless to say, we will never step foot in that restaurant ever again. read more

I am not one to complain but I went to this IHOP yesterday. The food was cold and the fruit crepes I got didn't have any fruit at all about six little pieces of strawberries. I wouldn't recommend going to this IHOP they need to close the doors if they can't do no better than that. I don't mind spending the money for food when it's good but what I paid yesterday was not worth what it cost. I would advise you to go somewhere else to eat. read more

This is so overpriced for what it really is. You can get way better pancakes at Cracker Barrel or Pete's which are right up the street. The pancakes here are obnoxiously small and aren't even charged a small price for being small. I can't believe anyone in good conscience would rate this place a 5. The waitress was incredibly rude, rolling her eyes several times and blaming us when she got an order wrong. The food ranged from cold to lukewarm, but it took so long to get it that we didn't even want to send it back. They substituted items in our meals and didn't tell us ahead of time. The best part was when they delivered the wrong food to the table and she acted put out that my husband didn't just eat the wrong food. I haven't been to an IHOP in about 10 years. I always thought they were overpriced for what you got. But, on a whim today my hubby and I decided to go for breakfast. The host was friendly and we only had to wait about 10 min even though they were 'hoppin'(haha get it?) Our server was very nice and helped me decided what to order. My hubby ordered an omelet and coffee with a side of tres leches pancakes and I chose a combo with eggs, bacon, hash browns and vanilla spice pancakes. One thing IHOP has always done right is bring a small carafe of hot coffee so you can refill at your leisure. Most places have servers walking around refilling coffee mugs but, when you add cream or sugar to your coffee, it throws off the flavor if they refill a cup that is only half full again and getting the desired flavor is hard to obtain again. That is a pet peeve of the coffee drinkers in my house. Our food came out quickly and was nice and hot. My eggs were cooked just how I ordered them and I loved the servers suggestion of the vanilla spice pancakes. We had a very pleasant dining experience for breakfast and we also got to check out the new burger menu while we were there which looked great! Went here late at night right before they're closing. The waitres who took our order took everyone's order but when the food came only four plates came out I guess she wrote one of the orders really small she didn't see it. So she made the cooks cook the last plate she said since it wasn't on the order it won't be on the bill. Which was really nice of her. Place was really empty since it was close to closing so the food came out quickly. I enjoyed my turkey sandwich with avacado that's my favorite from ihop whenever I'm there for lunch or dinner. read more

What has happened to IHOP? It use to be the go to place for breakfast. My crepes were tough and hard around the edges like they had been sitting out a while and so were the eggs. Smallest portions I have ever had at any restaurant. My wife and I along with our four kids went for dinner. Every single plate and side order was smaller than anything I've ever seen. Only exception was my son's turkey sandwich which was average. We all left still hungry. The waitress said that just the way the portions are. This review is purely for the wonderful waitress from New Jersey - though the entire waitstaff at this IHOP in the evening is just as great. Sandra is attentive, keeps her eye on the food to make sure it meets her expectations even before you have a chance to question anything. She is the right mix of personable, attentive, not over doing anything and makes the experience spectacular. On days when we feel like chatting with her she does and on days when we don't she knows. That's how a pro like Sandra gets 25% tips. I do like this ihop for breakfast food and their new pancake combos rock. I really wish whoever orders bread here would up their stock of Rye toast though I am slowly learning to live the sour dough. This place is a nice option on a Friday night and my kids love it. Oh and kids eat free from the children's menu - not a draw for me but a pleasant surprise since I can never remember. Keep it up IHOP and keep Sandra happy - she is a good one! read more

All their cooks quit...2nd time this has happened here within 6 months. Rarely after eating here for 3 years do we get hot food. After 45 minutes this ti.e 3 us got lukewarm food, one plate at a time 10 minutes between plates. ..after an hour they brought our toast finally..it was cold . We give up...no longer going there. I went to IHOP with my family this evening and was a disappointed. We got there about 6, it wasn't busy at the time. Though we sat there for about 15 minutes before anyone came to the table. Then once our server came to the table we sat another 15-20 minutes on drinks. Once she came to the table, she had the children's drinks in glasses and was missing a drink. This was a bit upsetting and we asked for the children's drinks in cups. She came back placed togo cups on the table and walked away before we could even mention the missing drink. So let me tell you about me and my friends trip to IHOP. It's not too busy. The kitchen was a bit slow (stuff happens) but our waiter communicates really well with us and was super nice (THANKS MIKE). The worst part of our experience had nothing to do with the ihop staff. This RUDE lady (let's call her Malicious Maw Maw) decided to tell us how badly we were being treated (we weren't) and how we need to complain to the manager. Then she told my friend how pretty she looked (she looks great) and then asked me and my third friend what's wrong with us and then she touched me (ew, don't). Let's just say this was the worst experience EVER at a restaurant even a year after the pandemic started. The wait time wasn't too long: typical of being a Sunday at IHOP. Once seated, we waited 24 minutes before we had to flag down the server and let her know we hadn't gotten our drinks yet. After we got our drinks, we waited another 21minutes before my oldest daughter went up front to get the manager because the table in front of us was getting their drinks AND food order done and they came in almost 25 minutes after we did! Unbelievable!!! I asked the waitress if she could find out who was working our table and I was told " I don't know who is ma'am. I just came up front to help since I'm working the back". Now needless to say, they closed the back area because the air wasn't working. Guess she didn't think I could turn around and look. Art was the saving grace that day. We had asked for the manager and he was the general manager working. He took care of us immediately. Would I recommend eating here? Yeah why not? It's IHOP. Just make sure you make it known if you had to wait more than 10 minutes once you've been seated. read more

Went to IHOP in Asheville, NC last fall and it was a pleasant experience. Actually went twice while we were out of town. Had not been to the one in my home town in 8/9 years and went last weekend. My husband ordered a burger that included bacon (bacon was left off sandwich and server realized it was missing an bought a couple strips separately). I ordered the butter milk fried chicken sandwich from the IHOPPY menus, wrong decision. The chicken was a frozen patty that was very dry and tough. Guess I should have ordered from the Breakfast Menu. Looks like it'll be another 8/9 years before we return to this location. read more

This place is disgusting. Food was horrible. I have never, ever had to spit my food in a napkin, but I sure did here. I had drank my coffee, had nothing else to drink to get bad taste of tomato out of my mouth. Thank goodness my friend had some syrup left because I had to poursyrup in my empty coffee cup to try to get that horrible taste of garbage out of my mouth! I could not find a manager anywhere. No one that even looked like a manager. The server was having a bad day, I guess. She was not at all pleasant or friendly or helpful. My friend paid the bill at the table and we left. I come to IHop only a couple time every month. And every single time they figure out to just give me the worst experience with me and my wife. I asked for well done eggs scrambled and I get old eggs. They prep the eggs on the plates fresh eggs would never look as so . I feel like if your at a hotel and they have free breakfast that's what there breakfast is. I spend on average 30-40$ every time I come here with me and my wife. And I always get the crap end of the stick every time I come to ihop. It's a waste of time and not worth anything to even step foot in the restaurant. Ordered a new item on the menu and the rice in it was not cooked and I had a serving as if I'm in grade school again. 15$? I rather pay more taxes to the irs than to get a meal from here again. IHOP is a place for mediocre people who like mediocre food. Service was absolutely awful. Didn't get my silverware till 10 minutes after I got my food. I was starving. When I finally had my silverware after asking 3 people working on the serving staff the pancakes fell apart. I had unlimited pancakes and when I asked for more another 20 minutes past and I finally got them. While I was eating the staff decided to speak in tongues around me and to be completely honest... We just went to this ihop in Clemons and were sat pretty quickly but our waitress never came. We sat for 10 minutes and saw 4 different waitresses go pass and not one of them stopped to get our drink order or greet us. i Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
