This is your typical IHOP, though it does have its challenges, primarily the terrible parking situation. It is not too far off of Interstate 95 and the service was friendly enough. IHOP has been a familiar sight throughout the country and has become a long-standing restaurant. It opened its first location, back when it was called the International House of Pancakes, back in 1958 in a suburb of Los Angeles, California (Toluca Lake, California to be exact). It has since grown to well over a thousand locations, closer to two thousand locations. They have locations in all fifty states of our great nation, two United States territories, and in thirteen countries. This is quite an accomplishment for any business. While there menu is more straightforward and they focus more on consistency than out of this world taste, this location does a good job with bringing the IHOP menu and the taste you are familiar with. The ambiance here is what you would expect from an IHOP. Nothing fancy, but comfortable enough. I think IHOP does breakfast best and what I usually go for. All in all, a good location. read more

We stopped into this old-school IHOP during an unscheduled journey through the area. In need of breakfast eats, this seemed like a safe bet...and indeed it was. There's certainly nothing fancy about the setting here, but the small scale of the A-framed building seemed especially comfortable to weary travelers like us. Service here was top notch from both the waitress and the kitchen staff. Ordering was quick and so too was order fulfillment, with everything just as we requested. My partner and I stopped by iHop on the way to Cocoa Beach area. I had the classic pancakes, potatoes, turkey bacon and scrambled eggs. The pancakes were sweet and fluffy, just like I like them! I'm really disappointed with the service I received tonight. I ordered 2 family meals for takeout, and when I arrived, the restaurant was busy. The cook was visibly frustrated ( and he was very loud in his feelings) and handling the order poorly. Despite telling the waitress I wasn't in a hurry, my order was rushed. The French toast was inedible, the bacon was burnt, and I didn't get the correct number of eggs. I believe it's better to wait for quality food than to have the cook rush and end up with a disappointing meal. I would not recommend anyone going to this IHOP, and I will never go back there. I shrugged it off because he mentioned that the woman working was really nice but seemed suuuuuuper stressed. I've worked quite a few service jobs and so I typically avoid causing workers stress over small mistakes. But then when I was almost done with my food...... One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Our party of six waited an hour and a half for our food. Never received a side salad or french fries. The service in general was horrendous. Just because you have to wash your hands after prying apart their sticky menu doesn't mean you can't get a good meal here. I've been here multiple times and have always had a solid experience. The servers are generally friendly and the food is tasty. It's IHOP so you know what you're getting. On my most recent visit I got the banana, peanut butter, chocolate chip French toast which came with eggs, bacon, and hash browns for $7.99. Laura was my server and did a great job. She even squeezed some extra peanut butter on per my request. It is in a parking lot next to a shady motel but I've always been just fine. I've been here twice in the past two weeks solely because it was the only thing open at the hour I came in. Both times, I had the same server, Linda a older white woman. The first time she was rude, impatient, and unwilling to answer any questions about the menu. We gave the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up as she had a bad night and still tipped her. The second time she was the same this time very rude, impatient, and unwilling to do her job. Then some drunk people came in. At this point we just wanted to eat pay and leave. So we asked for our check. Instead of attending to us, the waitress ignored us and proceeded to start arguing with these intoxicated people and called the police even after they had left instead of giving us our check so that we can leave. We had to physically get up and walk outside to get her to let us pay. And even after she had an attitude. In fact, I was waiting to give her back the merchants copy of the receipt and she dismissed me rudely and said "You have the check in your hand, you can leave!" My Neighbor told me this Ihop got a makeover with all new staff including the cook. I as well live 5mins from here. The last time I ate here it was horrible and swore Id never eat here again. After she told me this I decided to try it again. Once again Ill never eat here again. I ordered the Sirloin Tips and Shrimp cost me $12 and some change. Half the Sirloin Tips were Tuff, the Mash Potatoes aren't even real and has a burnt taste to them. The Shrimp was ok. We were just at the Ihop in Cocoa, FL. HORRIBLE SERVICE And DISGUSTING Establishment! All the servers were completely rude and incompetent! We asked several servers for our drinks along with butter, and jelly, several times and couldn't even finish our food because our server was standing around, avoiding us for some reason not giving us the things we asked for. We were in great spirits but it was quickly ruined by this place! To top it off, with our food barely touched, we asked for To-Go boxes and the check and a ROACH started crawling up the next booth's window. Those two sitting there ran. We weren't so lucky since they were about to charge our card. I told one server passing that there was a ROACH and pointed to it and for a whole minute she played ignorance. She said "I've never seen a roach here!!" And asked where and I pointed right to it and she still denied what I was and said "Whatever, I don't see anything!". My husband was so furious, he asked to see the manager outside who then proceeded to tell us that everyone is dealing with something in their personal lives and he appologized and then rudely tossed off my husband's concern. What!? He didn't comp us our food that was left on the table because we couldn't bare to finish it. He didn't mention the roach issue or appologize or even acknowledge the fact. He then handed my husband his receipt and asked him to continue signing it. He showed us how little he cared about the customer. We are livid! We've never been to a place as disgusting and rude as this one! This IHOP is 5 minutes from our house but if gladly go 20 mins to eat at Denny's or Cracker Barrel!
