It's Sunday 9/8/2024 @ 5:55pm. This is the dirtiest looking IHOP I ever been to. The building on the outside looks dirty. We go inside and the seats in the booths are all ripped up and dirty. I didn't even want to sit. The server looked filthy and so did the cooks. They probably have a cat laying on top of the bread in the back. If you can't keep the establishment clean, imagine the kitchen. Don't think I sat down for longer than 30 seconds. I couldn't get myself to even think about eating something from this place. I understand that the tri tip steak is sautéed with sweet onions but the sweetness was overpowering. Also, I can't confirm or deny this but I think because of the texture of the steak I either got liver or lab grown meat. It was the worst meal I had in a while. I get breakfast here almost every weekend since I moved to Corona. I don't dine in since I always do to-go orders. I come here so much that they already know to put my sauce in my bag and know my name when I come in. The ready times have been pretty consistent and almost never waited past the time it says it'll be ready. On my way to Downtown Disney and wanted to stop by and get some chow with the family here at IHOP. I must say I was pretty disappointed with the visit. The customer service was great despite it being really busy. I mean one can't expect top quality customer service while it's busy. Our waitress was attentive and tried hard to focus on many tables at a time. The customer service is not what I was disappointed about, it's the food. I usually order the roasted turkey sandwich from IHOP which is my favorite. This time my sandwich was smaller and had less turkey in it. I felt like I was eating a quick sandwich I made at home with cheap bread and a sprinkle of meat. My daughter also likes to get the funny face pancake every time we go to IHOP. She was professional, personable, courteous, attentive and awesome! He didn't greet us and went into the office to get paper. He wrote everyone's names on the list and left. 5 mins later a host came and she state half the people down. We were next. So why is it that after 25 minutes of waiting and other customers coming in and ordering 10-15 after my simple one person order. They get their orders filled and I'm still waiting. Started coming here's recently with my family. I have to say it's a nice change of pace from Denny's. I won't say one is better than the other, they're different. There are things I like about each. For ihop, I like that they leave a carafe of coffee on table, and all the selection of syrups on the table. I prefer their hash browns over Denny's. Also I appreciate that they offer turkey sausage. I also like the size of their pancakes, a short stack of the dinner plate size cakes at Denny's is just too much to finish. My waffle came out cold to the point the butter didn't even melt a little bit. I asked for it to be microwaved which the waitress did at my request. I think they were also having an issue with their soda machine as my diet was completely flat. Other than that the my mom enjoyed her meal and the staff was very friendly.
