Considering there is almost always a long line and a significant wait to get a table, we expected the overall experience to be worth it. Unfortunately, for us, it wasn't. On top of that they added a 18% gratuity to the check! There are too many great Mexican restaurants with both good food and warm, welcoming service to justify the wait. We would not return by choice!

It had good grapefruit and basil flavor, and was nicely balanced. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower appetizer ($14). The cauliflower was supposed to be grilled, but it seemed almost raw. The buffalo sauce definitely had a good kick. For my entrée, I had the Black Angus Basin Burger (manchego cheese, carmelized onions, arugula, special sauce, brioche bun, $19). The burger was excellent. The cheese, carmelized onions, and arugula was a great flavor combo. The fries were good, but I'd order them more crispy next time. She had the two taco plate with fish and potato tacos ($15). The taco shells were freshly fried, and it was a filling plate that she enjoyed. We had one more round of drinks and I had the Billionaire cocktail (Old Forrester 100 proof bourbon, lemon, house made grenadine, absinthe, $16). This was excellent. It was very balanced, and not boozy at all with a very light sweetness. Her second was the Smoke and Fire (Peloton de la Muerte mezcal, Ancho Reyes liqueur, muddled jalapeno & orange, fresh lime, agave, chili salt, $15). It was pretty well balanced with a medium smokiness. It definitely had a kick of heat on the finish. Our server Lakyn was friendly and provided good service. The menu prices are cash prices. Having breakfast for dinner or a late night snack is awesome. I just love the pancakes with the four different syrups I have a choice to choose from everytime I go and dine in. Having a short stack with eggs and bacon is YUM! Having their dinner menu is OK but breakfast is better choice app IHOP anytime. The only thing going at late night is that service is a little slower. Hi guess the staffing is not as well during the day . The trick is what you order your drinks water water coffee and a beverage, lol. I normally ordered orange juice or some kind of juice with the coffee. I need to bring back all you can eat pancakes..... I remember Denny's having fresh-tasting orange juice, but what we were served was nothing like that. It tasted extremely artificial, overly processed, and had an unnatural-looking color. Honestly, even supermarket orange juice tastes better. Then my Value Slam arrived, while my spouse ordered a Caesar salad. The lettuce in the salad was not fresh at all. There were numerous pieces with brown discoloration, and some of it looked like it was already starting to turn. It was really unpleasant. After breakfast, I went to the women's bathroom, and unfortunately, it was extremely dirty and smelled terrible. There was feces smeared on the floor and on the toilet/seat area. I immediately reported it to the host. She seemed genuinely surprised and told me she didn't know about it and that they would take care of it. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. After we left, my stomach started hurting and continued to hurt and growl for the rest of the day. I had only eaten the Value Slam--hash browns, two eggs, and two pieces of bacon. Overall, Denny's is not what it used to be. The quality of the food, cleanliness, and overall experience have seriously declined. I went there expecting a nice birthday breakfast with my spouse, but instead I left extremely disappointed and feeling sick. We will not be returning to Denny's. Sadly, it feels like the quality has been downgraded across the board for profit.
