I was given a fork that was absolutely filthy, an extra plate that I asked for that was also filthy and there was someone's hair in my mother's plate. I came here with my family for a weekend brunch. This could be our last dining at IHOP for several reasons: 1) slow service and 2)overpriced 3)below average quality of meal. We were waiting for our table for approximately 10 minutes. The server took our order not too long after we got seated.. However, it took more than 20 minutes until the food was served. I don't like the taste and texture of the pancakes and french toasts that I ordered. My kids hated their pancakes too, but they were very hungry and had no other choice. The kids meal were totally overpriced - $4.99 for chocolate chip pancakes and $1.49 for milk (no refill). We spent almost $60 just for pancakes, bacon, milk and coffee...ugh. We could have gone to Denny's for the same thing and spent much less money. On the positive side: this place looks new, clean and spacious. read more

Im leaving this review on behalf of my senior mother, aunt and grandparents. They were seated by the restroom which isn't the problem. The problem was the waitress in charge of that particular area DID NoT check up on them once. She did not offer refill on coffee, cream, failed to provide the condiments and extra napkins they ordered. The food is not the problem the service was. Then to make matters worse the hostess making her rounds asking if everything was ok and my mother calmly explained the situation. That hostess then proceeded to tell the waitress in charge of the area. The unprofessional part was when that Hispanic waitress came up to my mom and grandparents, (which are stroke survivors ) and started raising her voice (as if my ELDERLY family were beneath her), asking what the problem was. I don't think that's company policy to Raise your voice to you patrons who simply voiced their concerns about the service. I'm not sure about you IHOP but that is unacceptable. If she doesn't like her job, she shouldn't work there. She said "I rely on my co workers to attend you" from what I'm aware each waitress is in charge of their own Individual area. To shell out $50 and be yelled at is appalling. I could only imagine how that rude Hispanic waitress treats people with disabilities. Unacceptable. food is always good, but the service is kinda bad. It takes a good 5-10 minutes just get the server over to take the drink order. then other 5 - 7 minutes to bring back the water and take a food order. then the food comes out at a reasonable time, so i guess the cooks are doing their part. however the waitress's are nice and all, but come on speed it up a little bit or tell management to hire more waitresses. I am so angry. Just left IHOP on Hamilton Road, next to Walmart, and am shocked at the food we were served. Two breakfasts; cold dry toast; cold coffee; overcooked eggs ; dry cold hashbrowns. But the manager and employees were having a great time socializing with one another. It was not crowded. No excuse for the cold food as the cook was not busy at all. I just dropped in for lunch at this location to check out the new "burger BUZZ" and the new offerings. WOW...very impressive! The mushroom-Swiss burger was fantastic....and so was this IHOP location. Super neat and clean inside and out...with great standards on customer care from the friendly manager "Lisa" greeting me on arrival, to the friendly, fun and very professional waitress named "Sunday". She made a few menu suggestions, which I agreed to try, and boy was my burger good! Only wished I'd had room to try another one on the spot.... When you are in the Arcadia area, check out this IHOP with it's quiet off street location (Hamilton Road) with lots of easy parking. The management and staff are worth the visit, and the new burgers collection is delicious and very affordable. BIG thumbs up! read more

First I want to say, I love the food at IHOP. I hate their service at this location. Always! I came in today for lunch. It was fairly empty, at this time. Behind me the MANAGER (an older woman) sat in a table with two customers that were already eating when I got there. They were talking ridiculously loud and she was talking to them very rudely, I was meant in a playful manner but it was still rude nonetheless. My server a heavy lady with short black hair I think her name was Raquel not sure, is a horrible waitress. She never came around to make sure we were good, I had to wait for ages to get her attention to refill my water, then we had no napkins and she was too busy chit chatting elsewhere. All the workers seemed to be hanging out at the table where the manager was sitting. Very unprofessional, Very Unpleasant experience and I really hope they look into this and replace management with someone professional. I was uncomfortable and annoyed & not able to enjoy my lunch, so sad. read more

We had breakfast at Duarte Ihop this morning and my husband was seated facing the kitchen and serving area. He watched servers wipe off the counters with no gloves and then handle food. Then he watched a server pick up pancakes with their hands put them on a plate one by one put them on her serving tray and start to walk to her table, I asked her if she planned on serving them she looked at me and said "what" I said are you planning on serving those pancakes she said no I plan on throwing them away I said why did you put butter on them and was proceding to the table until I said something. Also, I had another server ask me what I was looking at. Don't think I will patronize this Ihop again. read more

Red velvet pancakes are delish!! You can get a stack of 4 get one of the meals which includes 2 pancakes with hasbrowns,eggs and your choice of (bacon/sausage/ham-priced accordingly). It was so annoying! Overall I like this location because they seat you fast and as long as it's not one of their busy days(holiday,weekend,ect) If you come on busy day they can take forever to take order and refiil drinks but the food still comes out pretty fast. I love ihop. I've been to different ihops when it's been a mad house (Saturday breakfast) and had great service. This ihop couldn't handle me alone. Right off the bat my waitress who is very pregnant seemed bothered that I was there. I consider myself a feminist and pro working moms but this lady needs to go on maternity leave ASAP! Food was fine but I lost my appetite. I don't want to throw the race card but I am Hispanic and she was white.....these incidents make you go hmmm....she got my order wrong then didn't return. First of all the food is always amazing.. my BF and myself come here probably 2-3 times a month. The main reason we come here is our server/manager? She works nights and forgive me I should know her name by now.. Liz?? She works nights typically.. and works sun-thursday. She is the most amazing server. She always greets us and knows us when we come in. Even if she is not waiting on us... she always comes to speak with us!! And genuinely wants to know how we are!! If I could give ten stars for her I would. I am a server myself and always leave a good tip for whoever serves us... but I still always tip her also even if she is not our server that night. She is one of the most genuine people that u wish was your family. As she always always makes us feel like family. She always hugs us before we leave.. and we try to only come on her days!! If there were awards for best server in california... she should be the one. Absolutely AMAZING!! So thank u for making our visit special and great. NO STARS , i wouldn't going that horrible restraunt , the manager there , this crazy woman has called the police twice on me because i park my motorhome near that i-hop , twice because i'm parked outside her i-hop on a public street to pick up there internet signal , once there manager and one employee came down that same street and accused me of backing my motorhome into one of her employees cars while in was in front of there i-hop , which was a total lie , the car was white and there was no paint on my rear bumper and they finally backed down but on thursday morning i was parked out there using my pc and here comes parking enforcement again and this time they were going to give me a 90$ ticket that i talked my way out of , saw here -leaving that afternoon and gave her the finger and she whipped her car around to chase me around yelling and screaming at me that she was going to call the cops everyday and ended up calling me a bitch and for the rest of my life I WILL NEVER GO INTO ONE OF THOSE I-HOP UNTIL THE DAY I DIE , THERE FOOD SUCKS ANYWAY ! i would rather eat rat poison , that woman needs a shrink , her brain all f---up` read more

Last night I went to IHOP, with my brother and his lady friend, at 11pm to get some food after a long night at work, because the website said they closed at midnight. We showed up, expecting to be greeted with warm smiles and delicious pancakes, but instead, we walked in and were very rudely told to leave because they were closed. Even the door on the building said that they didn't close until midnight and we walked in at 11. It is completely ridiculous for this restaurant to close an entire hour before their advertised closing time. I then called the restaurant from outside, and watched the employees look at the phone ring and then walk away. I was calling to simply ask for an explanation of why they were closed, hoping to be understanding of the situation. However, seeing the employees who kicked us out blatantly disregard the phone ringing and abandoning their responsibility as employees of the restaurant. I am very upset and will probably not attempt returning to this location, since the hours are apparently subject to change. read more
