To start, we waited in the entry for over 10 min waiting to be seated. There were less than 10 people in the restaurant. The employees saw us waiting and ignored us. This is the first yelp review I have ever done, I normally wouldn't do this. But this dining experience fell short to may times in a row. This was the first time I have eaten in this establishment and there were clear shows from the beginning it would not be the best experience. My friends and I wanted to have a nice lunch before finals week. All of us having experience in the food industry. The very first thing I saw when walking in was one of the servers near the door, with a huge hickey on her neck. Im not going to shame her for her activities outside of work, but have the foresight to put some make-up on it before going into your shift. Not that this really affected me in anyway, but it's just not something you wanna see. My main issue came as we were eating. Our waitress was fast and kind, nothing wrong with her service for the most part. Until I ordered then began eating my vegetation burger. I don't eat meat, so I was very disappointed to find bacon in my burger after I was about 1/3 done with it. Now this could have been a mistake on my part, not realizing the kind of burger I had ordered came with bacon before I ordered it. However the waitress should have clarified with me if the bacon was ok with me or not. Either she just didn't know the burger came with bacon (however she should know the menu better if that's the case) or just didn't have the common sense to ask me first. Then again it could have been the chef that messed up, either making a mistake or pulling a prank. Regardless it shouldn't have happened. After my table realized the issue, slightly after I did, one of them informed our waitress about this and requested some sort of discount for me, which was given without hesitation, being about two dollars off a $16 order. Then the second main problem came when we tried paying. I was paying in cash and this took the hostess by surprise as she asked I pay last, so the rest of my party could pay quicker. I was ok with that and when it was my turn to pay she took my recite and money back. She then spent the greater part of 3-4 minuets trying to mentally subtract my total from the 20 dollar bill I gave her. My total was something like $14.56, so I wouldn't imagine doing the math for that would be difficult for someone hired as a hostess. She then went to the back to get the change, only to come back telling me that the establishment has no coins, so my change would be short. However I noticed that the change was over a dollar short. So I told her she charged me for the original total, not my true total with the discount. This lead her to spend about a minuet and a half longer to re-do her math in her head. She ended up giving me my missing dollar, still not accounting for the missing 4 cents, give or take. I decided to just take the change and leave. At the end of day, a calculator should be near the register for moments like this, or the POS system should give her the right amount. Over all the experience felt very half-assed. While everyone was nice and all, I can tell some corners were cut in the training or hiring process. read more

Even the toast was cold as if it was sitting out for a while. There wasn't a lot of people in there at all. There was a lot of people working, they didn't seem to be low on staff. I was approached several times by various employees with the intend of insuring my visit was good. It's an IHOP. They are pretty much standard coast to coast. Things that set this location apart - country muzak fairly loud on the PA. Be warned if you don't like C/W music. Portions huge - don't feel a great need to be in the clean plate club here. Service was ok but the table could have been cleaner. It wasn't filthy but salt was dusted over the surface from a past diner.
