    "Hoppy hour" menu

Server was friendly and efficient. Food was as you would probably expect - okay. Nothing wrong with it, just okay. Went early Sunday morning and pleased to be seated and served immediately. Prices seem a bit high, even the 55+ menu.

Blown away by how underwhelming this is.

I keep looking for a hidden camera because this has got to be a joke. The waitress was a sweetheart and the service speedy but look at the pics. There's a good reason for only giving one star.

The only morsel left before I typed this review! Avacado Eggs Benedict.

I was greeted by a very kind and cheerful hostess/server and our food came quickly. I order eggs Benedict every where I go because I always order breakfast items that I am unwilling to cook at home. Well, who would have guessed that a chain restaurant would have the hands down best Avacado Bene I've ever had! The Hollandaise sauce is smooth, flavorful, just right. The egg is expertly cooked to the exact perfect consistency for the dish, not under, not over. Lots of crunch bacon. I am so pleasantly surprised and impressed. Yum!!! My compliments to the chef!!

When Denny's closed last year we anxiously awaited the opening of the promised IHOP at the space. it finally happened! I have eaten twice there, and while the portions have gotten a bit smaller, (as if I needed bigger portions!) the quality and consistency of the food remains excellent. Many of the employees from Dennys have remained on, giving the place a familiar and comfortable feeling when we visit. Additions of vegetarian options (especially Impossible™ Burgers and Sausage) have made the experience even more enjoyable to me. My most recent (second in a week) visit was especially satisfying... I was taking a friend with mobility issues, and Noah, one of the employees, saw me struggling to hold the door and rushed out to help. Eilia (spelling?) was attentive and prompt with meeting our needs and the food was in keeping with IHOP's more than 60 years of quality food.

Food is very good. Service is excellent. I've eaten here and at Kristinas in Eureka, ands I easily rate IHOP over Kristina's.

The food was good and the service was kind. I would recommend a little bit more cleanliness, but I still enjoyed the ambience.

We had a small table for two with a nice view of the bay. Didn't have to wait to be seated (it was…read morea Thursday). Our server was very pleasant and let us know the special of the day, a halibut dish with a creamy pepper sauce. Debating between that and another dish, we asked her recommendation and she suggested the fish. So we did it. My wife and I traditionally split meals at restaurants, because they generally give you so much food, you leave uncomfortably stuffed. We prefer leaving comfortably satisfied. So we split the Arugula Salad. They bring complementary bread with a garlic butter or basalmic and olive oil. We preferred the basalmic. The garlic butter wasn't very garlicky. But the salad was excellent. They split it for us for a small upcharge. The Halibut was excellent. We had to split it ourselves, but that was not a problem for us. It was served over couscous and was excellent. A bit small to split, so we added a cheesecake dessert with ganache. Very good. We paired it all with a Cabernet from the Oakville area of Napa (where we had just visited) and it was excellent as well. Our server was attentive. The pacing of our meal was very well done. Not too long between check-ins, but also not rushed. We recommend!

I found this restauraunt on Yelp and we reserved it for my birthday dinner on a Saturday night. We sat by the window and had a beautiful view of the sunset and bay. Upon being seated we were served some bread with some whipped butter mixed with some sort of seafood I believed? I forgot, but the butter was delicious. Our first round of bread however, was average at best and was very dense and doughy. The next rounds of bread were significantly better though, so maybe there's an inconsistency with the way they bake their bread in-house. I ordered the seafood penne pasta and my boyfriend ordered the king salmon with risotto. Both were "specials" and were not on the menu. However after digging into reviews here, it seems they are not so much specials since both dishes have been served here for the past 7ish years. Seafood penne pasta: I would rate a 3/5, maybe a 2.5/5. The pasta itself was not al dente which was disappointing. The "star" of this dish was supposed to be the scallop, which was severely undercooked! It was super soft and mushy. The shrimp was alright...some were overcooked. The salmon was also dry. I think the only thing I really enjoyed was the mussels, clams, and the sauce. The sauce had some curry with a small kick to it. This dish was just okay. Escargot: We ordered as our appetizer, I'd give it a 3.5/5! The escargot was a little soft but paired wonderfully with the bread. Creme brûlée: 3/5. Our waitress kindly put a birthday candle on it for my birthday. :) I enjoyed it, and it was very custardy! The downside was that the sugar on top was too burnt. I can't speak much for my boyfriend's dish, I did have a bite of his salmon and it was alright, maybe a bit too salty. The service however was wonderful and our waitress was super kind and helpful. Maybe I would come back to try another dish if I'm back in the area.

We arrived at 5:45 and our food order arrived at about 7pm. There was no warning our food order would be late until at least 20 minutes after we ordered. Then we were told the kitchen was a little behind, and about every 10 minutes after that we were told our food would arrive soon. When the food arrived my mash potatoes were cold at the center. When the waitress checked back with about whether we liked our food I told her it was good but my potatoes were cold. Of course the waitress apologized. The restaurant reduced the cost of my entree by 20%. Although the kitchen got behind I believe this was actually a failure of management. If the kitchen was understaffed they knew it and should have reduced the number of tables being served, or spaced out seating more customers until the kitchen caught up. I also noticed that as tables turned over newly seated customers were warned the kitchen was behind, but never told how far behind. I hope Gallagher's improves.

We were not disappointed. Jordan was our server and he took very good care of us. He was friendly and attentive. We all got the Captain's Platter. The servings were generous with enormous scallops and shrimp and beautiful big fish fillets. None of us could eat the whole meal so we took it home and air fried the next day. We considered this a good value because we actually got six meals for the price of three. We were served quickly and enjoyed the oldies played in the background.
