The spice level increased (still not too spicy), but a side of sauce (which you pay more than a $1 for) is now sent in a premade branded packet. I have zero issues paying extra for a good sauce made fresh in-house, but instead of tasting like a fresh sauce made with mayo and spices, it now tastes of oil and spices and is not nearly as tasty. We noticed the difference on the burgers as well, so it seems like their sauce is all premade now and not nearly as good.

A couple asked the host for an extra chair, which she brought over, I assume thinking it was for a bag or personal belongings. They ended up putting their dog on the chair. A manager later came over and asked them to put the dog on the floor, and that's when the couple became upset and began arguing with the manager, basically yelling. What stood out to me was that as they were leaving, the woman stopped at the host stand, asked the host her name, started yelling the name out loud and then walked out. I'm not involved with either side and can only speak to what I personally saw, but I felt the interaction deserved a little more context rather than being presented entirely one-sided. My own experience at Black Cow was very positive. However the shrieking customers I can do without.

To those who rate based on how entitled you were one day, just think that while you got seated or served faster than those who came before you, others had to unfairly wait - this is not cool and why are you celebrating that? This establishment is what makes America a sad, unhealthy place to live. If you feel like a fool eating here, you're not alone. When you're confronted with prices that reflect price gouging and/or a failed business model, the ref flag is urging you to stay away and let this monster die. IHOP operates as a failed business model: it cannot exist without gouging its customers or selling-out its employees while posting huge profits - profits made possible by paying feeble wages offering the minimum essential health care coverage as required by the ACA. No vision. No dental. No maternity/paternity leave. No child care. And while they're making a mockery of Americans who willingly throw their money at mediocre overcooked food, this customer is pretty pissed that a meal consisting of one potato, 3 eggs, some salsa and a 1/4 of an avocado with a side of 2 pieces of soggy white bread (a $3.99 value) costs $11.89.... WTF?! Someone needs to hunt down that CEO, Stephen P. Joyce, and make him eat his own s****y food with the hair in it and prepared by that annoying server who doesn't wash their hands before leaving the toilet. On what planet are these pedophiles and wife-beaters who run these food giants living on? And why do consumers continue to partake in this conspiracy to gouge consumers because we're too stupid and lazy to make better food choices? The take-out hamburger I ordered was considered Angus (fkg laughing) and cost $6.99 with endless fries and soda (couldn't eat endless IHOP fries if I wanted too...they're just awful) But, what is the difference between my burger and those costing $12? Server says, "an onion ring and some bacon..." So IHOP condones $6 for an onion ring and two slices of miserable bacon? You heaving me Stephen P. Joyce?!! You hearing me Julia Stewart, and all the white males sitting on your board? You're awful people! So I opted for a strawberry shake instead of the unlimited soda. The server said he'd have to charge me more for that. Really? Charge more than you're already required to charge me? He didn't charge me however and, for that, I am appreciative. However, this 'game' of complimentary items that technically cost a negligible amount, is means to get customers to tip the server more because they feel vindicated. Just dumb and sad. Pay your employees a living wage and take a pay cut for being awful people with a failed business model in a respectable society. I bet Julia Stewart and Co. make six-figures to millions and for what? What do they do apart from authorizing pitiful wages subsidized by coerced tips, charging outrageous prices for mediocre and often cold soggy food, or continue to hire corrupt white people to maintain that classic image consumers are brainwashed into loving so much. IHOP is garbage and in a respectable society it wouldn't even be a consideration, let alone a multi-billion dollar empire. $12 for a tiny hamburger and $12 for one potato, 3 eggs and some avocado with salsa - I give you 0-Stars! read more

I've never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant, but my recent visit to IHOP was truly awful, thanks to our server, Paola. From the moment she approached our table, her attitude was downright rude. She didn't greet us, didn't smile, and didn't even acknowledge us properly. Instead, we were met with a cold, blank stare, like she couldn't be bothered to deal with us. Throughout the entire meal, she didn't say a single word, just slammed our plates down and walked off without a care in the world. To make things worse, Paola managed to get several of our orders wrong. And instead of apologizing or even showing a hint of remorse, she just snatched the plates off the table with the same sour attitude and stormed off to fix them. No explanation, no "I'm sorry," just straight-up rudeness. When she brought the corrected plates back, there was no improvement in her behavior. She just dropped the food on the table like it was some kind of burden for her to serve us. Paola didn't check on us once after bringing our food, either. She clearly didn't care about whether we were happy, needed refills, or had any issues with our meal. Her entire approach was unprofessional, and honestly, it felt like we were being treated as an inconvenience. As a server myself, I can confidently say I would never, under any circumstances, treat my customers with the kind of disrespect Paola showed us. This kind of attitude has no place in customer service, and frankly, I'm shocked that IHOP allows someone like Paola to work there. I really hope her manager has a serious talk with her because this was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. Our entire group left frustrated and angry, completely appalled by how we were treated. If this is the standard of service at this location, I won't be coming back. I came to the Glendale IHOP, honestly not expecting much. I had seen a lot of TikTok videos saying things like "Don't go to IHOP" or "Nothing is fresh," so my expectations were pretty low. But here's the thing, I was shocked! The pancakes were unbelievably fresh and fluffy. I ordered the Bacon Temptation Omelette and added mushrooms and spinach. OMG, I can't even describe how good it was! My taste buds were literally dancing. The tomatoes were so fresh, and the pancakes had that amazing smell that tells you they were just made. Everything tasted perfect. And I have to mention Laura, one of the waitresses, I can't say enough about how kind and caring she was. She made our visit even more enjoyable with her sweet personality and attention to detail. I was actually trying to find something negative to say, but honestly, I couldn't. If you come here on the weekends, especially in the earlier hours be prepared to wait for at least 10-15 minutes- sometimes more. I used to be here a lot I know my schedule very well hehe. For those that complain about their food- I mean you're not paying an arm and a leg, in my opinion you get what you pay for. I mean in all honesty their food isn't even that bad. Sure, sometimes it can be a bit umm bland but I guess it just depends on the person. I usually get the 3 eggs with 2 bacon strips, hash brown and a side of wheat toast. Sometimes I;ll order pancakes. I used to get nutella crepes but they stopped serving it with nutella! Um wtf.. that's a stupid move. Hey, it's IHOP. If you come here, you know what you are getting yourself into. Pretty decent food at a very fair price. I had the chef salad on Sunday, it was HUGE. I could barely finish, but pushed on for dessert - lingonberry crepes! This location is right next to the freeway, very convenient. I had a very enjoyable visit. The only downside to IHOP is the wait is always 30- 45 minutes, doesn't really matter what time of day, unless you go between meal rush times. Have dinner at 3 pm and you might get right in, otherwise, good luck! read more

Overall this place is good and the fact that it's open 24hrs now makes it a bit better. One major complaint is the prices, I think they could be reduced a tab to accommodate the recession. I mean, for a breakfast plate I would like to spend $10 max but here by the time you get coffee, tax, tip, it comes out to $20. Food is good can't complain, not amazing by any standards, but it's pretty good. I rather go to a smaller cafe and support a local business, but now that it's open 24hrs I might be there for a late night dine. read more

Let me start off by saying, I love their pancakes. Crapes that is. They're tasty warm, and the jam tops it off! Service is right there. Server always around checking up on you. However if you plan on coming on a Sunday morning, plan on coming an hour earlier because wait times are a bit long. The reason I would rate this a 3/5 stars is because the place lacks a bit of cleanliness. Not only that but the restaurant is just too small, i feel I'm in a air tight container. This particular Shakey's is up the street from Forest Lawn (which is full of Pokemon GO finds btw) and it was on the way back to our home so the time was right - it was lunchtime. To be quite frank, this 5 star review is more about the overall experience. The food overall is ok, nothing that would grant it Michelin stars and def not in my top 5 pizza places. However, the quick and friendly service went above and beyond to deserve the 5 star rating. I was also surprised at the cleanliness all around. Juan Medina was always cleaning and helping guests, including us. Juan, the manager & Jeremy were very helpful, especially in the Arcade and Ordering sections. Foodwise, the pizza is okay imo. I'd give it a 3 on the scale of pizzas, but I'm kinda a thick crust snob. However, my kiddo loves how it's crispy on the bottom and soft on top. They're really crisp and exactly what I remember them to be like when I was a still child a bajillion years ago. Speaking of a long time ago, Shakey's was founded in 1954 and it was the first pizza restaurant chain in the US. How do you like them facts, Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, and Little Caesars?! Also, the franchise got its name from one of the co-owner's, Sherwood "Shakey" Johnson and Ed Plummer. Parents have an option to sip on a cold draught/draft brew if they like. And the Arcade room here is small, but mighty. The machines are new and you can easily spend an Alexander Hamilton on a few rounds of games before your meal arrives. Overall, it was a memorable lunch. Perhaps not because of what we ate, but the quality time spent here with my kid, and for being treated like a valued patron and being served like a guest they'd want to have return again. And I'm sure we will.
