I went here last Friday for dinner with my kids. I was so excited because I read all reviews here. But I was very disappointed. When I entered, I saw the sign "kids eat free on friday". When I got a bill, I saw that kids meal were charged. I went to cashier to ask it. I am not sure if he is manager, but he seemed manager, and he told me he could help me. When I asked this to him, he didn't eye contact and treated me like a peanuts. I got kids meal free but I was very insulted. And I ordered kids ice cream sundae, it was the worst sundae ever. It was just little two scoops of ice cream with chocolate syrup. I will never go there again. I like ihop restaurant but this place was the worst ever. read more

I have no problem with service, food or staff. My only issue is the bathroom. The bigger stall needs more privacy. Two different women walked in, one put her hand between the space and tried to open the door and another one looked through the space while I was going to the bathroom. There are black rubber spacers you can stick to the door for privacy. read more

I have been eating here for years and have never once had a single bad experience. The food is good (we only ever get breakfast food), and the servers are wonderful. It's incredibly busy on weekend mornings, but they are efficient and somehow get customers sat and fed without anyone feeling rushed, which I think is great. If I could give 0 stars I would. We walked in and were seated fast but we sat at our table for 15 minutes without being served. Didn't even get drink orders or anything. It was very slow, there were 4 servers and they all just looked at us. Meanwhile, 2 servers are standing there laughing and talking, which they did the whole 15 minutes we were in the place. It wasn't like there was a bunch of people there. 10 minutes after we got there another table came in and were served immediately. We ended up leaving. I understand that being a server is hard and I normally brush it off in restaurants because they work hard for little money. But if you're standing there doing nothing, making eye contact with me, it shows you could've been doing something. read more

The food is consistently good and satisfying in comparison to other chain experiences. I can say that when I order, I will be getting exactly what I wanted. First off, the food was amazing. I had the cupcake pancakes with a side of Nutella. Myself and 3 other people went and the place was crowded. We had to wait about 15 minutes because of how packed it was, but it was worth the wait. The workers are friendly and the food came out fast. I have been going to this location for a long time since my daughter loves it but this past weekend we went and I ordered coffee. Called them to have it rectified, said ok no problem we will make the correct pancakes and bacon. Went to this location on a Saturday morning took a while to get seated but the hostess was very professional and polite once I was seated A1 service, our server was quick and made me feel like I was at home and really comfortable got great food and great service . Unfortunately my boyfriend and I had a really underwhelming experience here. Our waitress Dolores was not very nice and seemed annoyed anytime we ask her for anything. My BF asked about all-you-can-eat pancakes and she gave him a look like she asked her where to buy drugs or something .She only perked up right before bill/tip time . I feel as if some servers feel that tipping is obligated but it really is not. With that being said we gave her a tip as underwhelming as her service. I will never go back here ! read more

From the moment we walked in it was a terrible experience. The hostess walked into the restaurant with us (without greeting us) and was quite rude while seating us at a table. It took 15 minutes for a server to come to the table. The food came out within 10 minutes, but we still hadn't gotten our drinks. We had to ask a different server (who happened to be walking by) for drinks and ketchup because our waitress didn't drop off our food and never came to check up on us. We were only eating for about ten minutes when our waitress came by, dropped off the check saying, "when you're ready." Oh, and to top it off, the coffee was burnt. I would give this place negative if it was possible. Ive been here multiple times and they are usually slower than ANY other place, but the most recent time was by far the worst. we were seated without even an "enjoy" from the host. after sitting with our menus closed for 5 minutes it wasnt apparent if anyone was even working since no one asked if we needed drinks. after another 5 minutes we saw every other table get a server come to them twice (still not even a drink at this point and we are all scrolling on facebook, obviously we were ready to order). we just got up and left after that because it set the tone for how the whole meal would go. this place needs to just close and become a dennys. read more

It's ihop. Don't compare it to our famous diners, it's a national chain. My SO and I come here for a consistent, quick meal. The serving staff is always friendly and has never messed up our orders. Sure the omelettes aren't the greatest, but it's a pancake house. Come for the pancakes, eggs, and coffee. The food took awhile and then he brings out my husband and daughter's food. I said, "where is mine?" He never wrote down my order. So my husband and daughter finished there meals. Disgustingly, nasty. I ordered the stuffed french toast w/ hash & eggs, and my sister had the 4 stack stawberry pancakes. The french toast was very dry, old, & burnt. There was cno creamy, cream filling, at least I missed it. And the hash brown & eggs smelt like old, old baby diapers. Ugh. The pancakes was McDonald's quality, but shamefully not mickey's price, smh (would of been cheaper). I had to get a refund. Second bad experience at this IHOP. Staff is rude and not trained well. First time they would not honor a coupon that I received from my credit card points. This past visit was a complete joke. The Saturday nite staff is very under trained and the so called manager is rude. We waited 40 mins for breakfast food in a not overly crowded IHOP. We could see our food sitting in window so we knew it would be cold. Wrong meal brought to one person in our party. 3 others were cold or partially cold plus cold coffee. Waiter never came back one time after order was placed to apologize or see if we needed anything else. We told them take it away then they actually charged us for 2 of the meals that were partially eaten and cold coffee. What a complete ruined meal and waste of time. IHOP in Hillsboro is one of the greatest places we have found for good homey food, The owners Managers are some of the friendliest we have found . They greet everyone who enters the restaurant. The staff is very knowledgeable of all the entrees that are served.ask them what the entrée includes and they know. Most of the waiters and waitresses have been there for many years. They are polite, attentive and caring. I will name just a few Marcelino, Jose, Yugo. .Get to know the owners they are great and really care about there customers..I feel if there is a complaint or complement say something .I can honestly say we have never had a meal we didn't like . Remember you are at IHOP not Taj Mahal..we have been going there for at least 10yrs and if anything it has greatly improved. We went in for breakfast on Sunday, January11, 2015 and decided to order the all you can eat pancake special with hash browns and egg. another also added sausage to his. The third person requested no tomatoes in the omelet .The kids meal came as ordered as did the french toast special. Our server delivered the coffee and kids chocolate milk and virtually disappeared. We had to almost physically grab her for more coffee and water before food was delivered. Once the food arrived we did not see her again until she presented us with the bill. Attempting to bring everything to the Managers attention was useless. he insisted that it was cheaper the way she did it---regardless of the fact that what we ordered was not what was delivered!!!!So as far as I am concerned IHOP in Hillsborough can close its doors and no tears would be shed. read more

I ordered a stack of pancakes and a side of eggs. The server asked if I would like 2 or 3 eggs in specifically asked if 3 eggs cost more than 2 eggs. He said I can get 3 eggs. He came back with only 2 pancakes instead of the full order of pancakes. When I asked why I only received half of my pancake order he told me he gave me a combo. I told him I did not order the combo, I wanted the full serving of pancakes, and that's when he said the eggs were $2 per egg and that 3 eggs cost more than 2 eggs. He shouldn't have implied they were they same cost. It seems as though he tried to trick me into paying more for my meal than i should have. He should have asked to make it a combo instead of assuming, and even if I did want the combo, it would have been missing the bacon and toast. He did nothing to rectify this issue and did not apologize for his mistake, he did not ask how our food was, did not ask if I wanted a box, and did not say goodnight. When I asked to see a manager the server said there was no manager. This is the most poorly run restaurant I've ever been to and this is very unacceptable service. I should add this is my first time in my life writing a complaint against a restaurant. read more
