We're ordered the chocolate pancake happy face combo for pickup, we got no combo, just a plain pancake with nothing on it and tons of little containers. we put it together OURSELVES with the SOUR "cupcake icing." We couldn't even eat it. Broken cookies for the eyes as well. When I went in the store to pick it up I asked the guy are we too late, are our pancakes going to be saturated? and he said "no they're gonna put it together right now" as if the people who worked there were going to do it and I said "oh cool!" but what he really meant was YOU'RE gonna do it at home with the order that WE got wrong! I ordered the Reese's pancake and those were disgusting too they were really dry and the toppings came off. you could move them with your fingers. We hardly ate those either. My mom ordered the cheese blintzes and they were OK, nothing to scream about, but she ended up giving them to us. When I called to complain the guy did nothing but make excuses. The management team at this location are HORRIBLE. Whoever took our phone order did NOT care to clarify. That means they don't CARE. Boycotting IHOP for good. Alright, let me get this straight. These restaurants have gotta hire better people. No offense to any of those foreign workers, however with Americans serving the food, it would be much easier for them to serve us what we ask for. I've been to this place recently, around last month I believe. The waiter was an old-ass foreign dude. Quite tall for a man his age, gloomy facial hair and neat cut hair. White hairs at the tip of everywhere. I asked for pancake and he nodded his head, however as he came around with the food, he served 2 hash browns. My brother actually ordered hash browns, but not me. He served me everything else correctly as I asked, however the only thing missing were the pancakes. I tried mentioning it to him, however this douchebag had no clue on what I was talking about, obviously since this guy's first language ain't English. I'd understand if any of the workers there came up to us and told me specifically that they're out of ingredients for the pancakes, however no one came to inform us. I'm a gal who craves breakfast ALL THE TIME. And since most of my favorite breakfast joints are closed at dinner time, IHOP helps fill the void. The restaurant looks very nice after a recent remodel, but I rarely dine in. I've used their mobile ordering app probably close to a dozen times now. It's so convenient! If you like to heavily modify your orders, mobile ordering may not be for you, since there's no place for special requests. Lately I've been going for the Corned Beef and Hash dish, which is served with 2 eggs and drizzled with a mustard sauce. It travels pretty well and it's still super hot when I get it home. Also, they make a pretty mean patty melt! (Extra onions, please!) The employees that handle the orders are also always very nice, and I never have to wait long for my food. I go to this location because of the way Patra and PJ take care of me when I go there for breakfast. The cooks and the busboys are really nice as well. I am a regular on Sundays but this one time I went during the week while I was on vacation and it was on a Thursday. I didn't know that Patra and PJ were not going to be there so instead this bald guy took my order and I guess he wasn't in a good mood because all he asked me was" What do you want?" And I had ask him for a menu -This was terrible service so far so I just figured he was having a bad morning so I finally ordered and everything else was good until I got up to use the restroom because when I returned to my table my plate, silverware and my coffee cup were missing. I wanted another cup of coffee! I went to look for the guy and asked him why he had cleared my table and all he said "Was sorry". I hadn't even paid my bill yet and if I hadn't gone looking for the guy I could have just walked out of the restaurant but I'm that type of person. I paid my bill and left and when I got home this was still bothering me so I called the restaurant and spoke with Tony , the restaurant manager that day and Tony was very apologetic and told me that when my sister and I go on Sunday which was three days later that our breakfast and everything else would be on him. hat was nice of Tony to do that for us. Normally I don't like to review multi-chain franchise restaurants like IHOP or McDonalds. Afterall, they are pretty much all the same when it comes to ambience, food, prices, etc...so why am I writing reviews for them. SERVICE. Yes, only because of poor service. Otherwise, they don't go on my Yelp. Today was a National Pancake Day @ IHOP and also a day where you can donate to the Children's Miracle Foundation. My mom and I went here for dinner for the free pancakes. We both got 3 stacks of pancakes each and also ordered their sirloin steak dinner. The waitress comes by and I started to order our food. When she came back with our decaf coffee in the thermo pot, my mom and I noticed that the coffee was very lukewarm. When I asked for another coffee that's hot and fresh, she asked me why. I told her....."because this coffee is borderline COLD." So she takes it back and brings our coffee and our side salad. We didn't have any utensils so I asked her for some. She gives us a cold look and just drops our utensils on the table with some napkins. Soon after she brings our other plates and practically throws the food on the table and leaves. There was no..."would you like anything else?" She never came back to ask if we needed anything so I had to eat my food with no hot sauce. Grrrrr~ I don't care how busy they are because it was free pancake day. That's not a good excuse to give such poor service. What's with the attitude!?!!?!? arrrugh~ 1 star for pancakes. This IHOP has always been good to me. The food is the same crap everywhere. Although the blueberry flappies aren't too shabby. And the ommies are quite large. Size wise, it's comprable to Arthurs. Service has always been good. I imagine it has to be good with the multitudes of old people that are always here. Parking is not an issue at all at this iHop location. The wait for the weekend can be a little long in the mornings, however we didn't have that problem on this Sunday morning (about 5-10 minutes, 10:30am). Waiters accommodated to us quickly, both bringing our drinks and taking our orders. Food quality is what you'd expect at any other iHop, brought out hot and ready to devour. Other waitresses also checked on us to make sure we had plenty of drink, also noticed as soon as party's finish the bus boys have the tables cleared and cleaned within 2 minutes. Good place to come to have a quick breakfast with family or friends, prices are reasonable and workers seem to know how to operate properly. read more

Great location in my lovely neighborhood. Waited about 20 minutes on New Years Day. Sat outdoors however the blaring sun wasn't very pleasing, wish there was a better covering or shade. Also it had rained a few days prior and the carpet in the patio was soaked and soggy. Our food was great however, service was great as well. The service is outstanding during the week. I had the covered patio all to myself and I was served coffee immediately. I like that IHOP leaves the carafe of coffee at your table so you don't have to wait for a server to refill. I had the French Toast Combo and it was awesome. Why would I come IHOP for anything but breakfast? That's what they are known for and they are good at it. The strawberry and banana French Toast was delicious and I would recommend it. Awesome location and I will be coming again. I brought my 3year old to have breakfast with me and they were so kind to her. Friend lives around the block from here, so we grabbed a quick bite on a lazy Sunday morning. There's a nice covered patio outside, so you can enjoy a bit of sun without getting fried. The server was really nice and we were waiting for one more person in our party for like 30 minutes, but she kept on checking back with us to make sure we were okay and that she hadn't forgotten us. Usually at IHOP, I'm used to more of a "screw you" attitude, so this was a nice change. The food was decent, although none of us ordered pancakes and got the "quick two-egg bfast" which for $7.49 came with two eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns and toast. All was good although the seating was a little cramped since my chair back was hit a few times by the person behind me. Or maybe she was fat. Who knows. The food came out quickly and the service was great. I think it was seriously the best IHOP experience I've ever had. But it was still IHOP. I brought my adult son for breakfast at about noon on 3-22-2023. We have been coming around 2pm once a week lately. Always been treated well. So today is my son's birthday, he is 66 years old. We always share . I think we got the grand slam and I split it for he and I. When we first arrived no hostess came to seat us and after 5 min , we flagged a person and they told us to go ahead and sit anywhere. Both my son and I are handicapped and can't stand long. When we ordered I told the waiter, for an upcharge can we get a crape instead of pancakes. He said No, its a special. I said ok then I will buy one crape and then get the other one free? He said no, it doesn't come with the grand slam. I said can I order it extra, he said no. I tried to tell him we would pay, but he said that wasn't the deal. I got tired of arguing and we just wanted our meal. Guess ihop doesn't' acknowledge breakfasts or let you purchase more than one entree at a time. No acknowledgement for a birthday either. I went recently with my family on a weekday morning and encountered pretty poor service when it wasn't busy at all. Our waiter, and older gentleman, working on the east side of the restaurant could have been having a bad day, but it's just not professional to take it out on patrons. Things started off pretty routine. We were seated and asked what we wanted to drink. I usually ask for water right off the bat for my kids. When he came back, we had a question about one of the specials. Before we could even get to our question, he said, "you have to order a drink for that" and just walked away without answering our question or giving us an opportunity to order a drink should we have wanted that particular item. When he came back, we decided to order from the standard menu. My wife asked for sunny side up eggs, but to cook them a little longer so the yolk isn't super runny. The waiter said that was "physically impossible" and she would have to order it over medium. Other IHOPs and breakfast establishments must be breaking some universal laws or casting a spell that magically places a cover over eggs while they cook. He ended up bringing eggs out with broken yolks, not over medium as we had agreed on. Well, we know the cardinal rule not to give your server a hard time, so we just rolled with the punches. Since there are plenty of other IHOPs to choose from, I don't plan on bringing my family back to this one. read more

This IHOP only had maybe 5 tables to serve. I was seated fast. I ordered Lemon crepes and a side of bacon, and camomile tea. This came at two different times. My cheap napkin ripped up. The waiter never came to check on me. For $20.04 it was a rip off. First time at this location. all the servers were just talking and laughing by the kitchen. I will NEVER come here again. Restaurant managers these days just don't understand the concept of quality control and monitoring the kitchen. Cooks are basically just left to do their own thing. My toast for breakfast came out basically dry I asked the server if they could add some butter and they did but what I got back was the top two pieces were drenched beyond edible and the bottom two were still basically dry. I was told I could substitute my hash browns for the roasted red potatoes that are sauteed and seasoned with bell peppers and onions and what I got was basically cut up skin on French fries deep fried with some onions and bell peppers sprinkled on top. The cooks don't speak English so it could be they just don't understand the concept of american food or they were just being lazy. I noticed that that even though it was not busy here, very few tables, the cooks are still cooking as if it's rush hour, speed is everything. To me proper preparation is everything. IHOP is one of my favorite restaurant to have a decent breakfast. Wherever I go for biz trip or vacation, I visit at least one time because the consistency of food quality and taste. Today, my nephew came from long way and we have decided to have a breakfast at IHOP near my home. The foods were great as usual. However, the serving lady, an Asian and mid 60th, should not be there for serving guests. She was so rude and mean. She told us to order whoever is ready first when I asked her for more time to decide what we want. Her rudeness was kept going. Tossing napkins, throwing box for left over... I feel very sorry for the rest of clue in the restaurant. All the good things they have been built for long time was ruined by one lady. Of course, I left the tip for the cook not for the lady. For whatever reason, the food is consistently not as good as I believe it should be (quality or temperature-wise) & the size of the IHOP I also believe makes it less inviting & not as comfortable to be in. To top it off, if you like any variety in the type of cream you like with your coffee, expect half & half (though I know other IHOPs supply options) & the possibility of a burnt english muffin if you happen to order one. Basically, if you can make it to this IHOP, drive the extremely short distance & go to the one in La Mirada ( 15140 La Mirada Blvd., La Mirada, CA 90638 ) where you can have some of the best meals & the employee service is considerably better. read more

Had a birthday "freebie" so thought why not? I'm amazed at how expensive IHOP is. Minus the "freebie" what we actually got charged for is the following. 1. One regular breakfast. 2 eggs, sausage, hash browns and pancakes. 2. Two coffees 3. One OJ. How much "should" that cost? I think maybe $15 MAXIMUM. I mean its really one breakfast with a couple of drinks. It cost $18. Sure that might only be $3 but that's 20% and with tip that's $20 for pancakes and coffee.
