Ok so every once in a while I like to go slumming at my local Panda Express in la habra. One can eat A5 Hidagyu and port wine reductions yada yada yada only so much. Every once in a while you want to eat orange chicken. Well good thing for CAVA that Panda Express next door is closed down indefinitely. The manager at CAVA was reading the sign as I mentioned to him "hey, that's good for you... CAVA is healthier anyway. So I ordered a honey chicken bowl with red pepper hummus and tzatziki. And it was good. What's more important in this review isn't just the good food at this place. It's the guy managing it at 12:30 on a Thursday 5/7/26. Talk about an individual who knows how to treat people. Textbook sales 101 and I've been in plenty of board rooms to know. I'll spare you the details. Go and find out for yourself. CAVA needs a 100 more just like that manager. He didn't need to extend kindness above and beyond. What unusual is that he probably treats everyone the same way. Either way what makes a decent place now becomes an excellent place because of a person who works there and now what was going to be a one off is a place I will frequent regularly. read more

I've been coming to this location lately and it's a solid 4-star spot for me. The food is very clean and feels super healthy, it's one of those rare fast-food places where you actually feel good about yourself after eating there. The restaurant itself is always kept clean, and the service is consistently fast, which I appreciate. My only real complaint is that the meats are soooooo salty. It's a bit much for me to eat as-is. I actually have to take my bowl home and add two whole avocados just to balance it out and make the bowl eatable. If they dialed back the salt a little bit, it would be a perfect 5 stars. Cava has always been good to me. I never really had a bad experience here. Everything tastes super fresh and flavorful. I love eating here because of how nutritionally dense their meal is. You get your protein, carbs, veggies, and the fat from natural sources like yogurt and chickpeas. I got the basmati rice and lentils with chicken. At the time that I went, there seemed to be a rush before and they ran out of a lot of the proteins including chicken and steak. They notified me of a little wait time which I was fine with. At the end, they gave me a drink on the house for the inconvenience. They also packed my bowl which allowed me to have some leftovers the next day. Super considerate employees! Flavor was great and everything was customizable, much like Chipotle but with a Mediterranean twist. One tip: if you're getting the pita wrap to go, I'd recommend having the sauces on the side--it can get pretty messy. I enjoyed it thoroughly, though I'd probably eat in next time. Ambiance (4/5): Clean, modern, and very much a fast-casual vibe. It's a nice spot, but parking can be tricky since it's right next to Panda Express and other popular lunch options. I have come to this Cava many times because of its convenient location, but my experience is always hit or miss. I either walk out very satisfied or unsatisfied. I have had experiences where the staff are very friendly and welcoming. However, other times they are not welcoming at all and the customer service is below average. This day the service was not the best unfortunately . They were also running low or completely out of some toppings in the afternoon, which was disappointing. The portions were a bit small as well. Everything tasted great though. Also, the cashier was very kind and helpful, which was nice! I love Cava, so I will definitely be returning, but it's just disappointing at times. read more

Truly disliked my visit to this cava location. We arrived on a thursday at 6pm for a quick dinner and they were already running out of most of the proteins and toppings. We first tried ordering the steak+feta pita but they ran out of steak. No biggie, we decided on their greek chicken, then when the staff was assembling our pitas, she was already running out of chicken, so our second one had very little chicken, she couldn't even at least let us know if we would like to replace it with something else and just walked away to help other customers instead. Another staff came in to finish up assembling our pitas and was basically running out of dressing and couldn't even bother getting a new bottle and instead decided to leave our pita with a few drops of dressing. Very disorganized staff and zero customer service. Won't be coming back to this location and do not recommend it at all. read more

I would like to leave a review about one of the employees working at the La Habra location. We visited on Mother's Day, May 10, around 9:20 PM for a to-go order. When I checked a bag because I thought it was my order, the employee responded with a very unpleasant attitude, saying it was not mine while making a rude facial expression. Instead of helping politely, she seemed irritated and avoided eye contact. On top of that, our to-go order was not even ready yet, and while preparing the food, she handled the bags and containers very roughly -- slamming and tossing things around in front of customers. As someone working in customer service, her attitude and professionalism were honestly very disappointing. I do not know if this was personal bias or discrimination, but the experience made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I hope management takes customer service and respectful behavior more seriously. read more

I would give this location negative. What a horrible experience today. I goto three different Cava locations. Unfortunately today was this location. This is the worst one slow and food is not always consistent. And staff here are horrible and today provided it. But it was late so I went and got my regular deal it was time to pay and I asked the agent to assist with my app as I been having login issues. She said to call the number and to my knowledge I didn't see a phone number on app so I asked for the number or their manager, she said she is the manager and nothing for her to do as I needed to find it myself. I find it funny that I am at their store and the manager is telling me they don't have the contact for me to resolve the app issue for their own company. I asked for their GM refused and it took them 20 min to get me a email support@cava. The worst part was they refused service to me and I ended up not being able to get my dinner. I will not be going to any Cava and will share this really bad experience with all I run into. I know this location staff is the issue and has been as I have been a regular to this location. This location replaced Ian's favorite Pizza place when he was growing up. Darn... I got a bowl to go. Portions size was not in line with the price that was charged. I was starving after this bowl. (-2) They were out of Chicken during my visit. (-1) Employees were very detail in explaining that they were out of Chicken, how the system works, etc. (+1) Good customer service, expensive food. Cava has been our favorite go to meal for awhile now but as good as the meal already is, it is so much better when you get the toasted pita chips to eat alongside it! If I could give the service here 10 stars, I would. Out of 5, I give the food 6 or 7. It's pretty spacious in here, the soda and juices section is always very neat and clean. Good amount of booths and tables for dining, and if it's full, there's plenty of seating outside as well Staff is phenomenal and helpful. Nicest and sweetest people I've had the pleasure of being served by. If it's your first time they will gladly walk you through it. They serve bowls, pitas, and kids meals. The employee was really friendly and upbeat, just like the one in Fullerton. She also reminded me about the upcharge for the braised lamb, which is always a kind gesture. The canned water is also great, and I would choose Cava over other fast food and fast casual dining options. The sauces taste just right, a bit tart, and even though I usually don't like food when it's too saucy, I couldn't go without the red pepper hummus and the green stuff. There wasn't much of a line, but I'm sure it gets packed! It looks and feels very clean, so I'm glad they opened last November. Stopped by on a weekday for a late lunch and it was super busy but so goooood! It did take long to get my food, could be because of the lunch rush but also because it's a new place still trying establish an efficient flow of service. Servers were friendly but definitely stressed due to the crowd, I felt bad. It was difficult to see what the choices were for building your own bowl because they are on the windows separating us from the food and in tiny font. You couldn't see the options until you were already supposed to order so that maybe could've been why the line was getting backed up too. I ended up building my own bowl and here were some of the highlights. -Grilled Chicken: Super flavorful and was good on its own, sauce not necessary! 5/5 -Harissa Dip: It's pretty spicy but very tasty! Kind of tastes like sun dried tomatoes but with a peppery kick. 4/5 -Schug: I wasn't a huge fan of this, too much parsley flavor. I like Luna Grill's better. 2/5 -Pita Chip strips: These added a nice crunch to the soft ingredients of the bowl! 4/5 In regard to presentation... -I do wish they gave more of the dips and put them on the side because they get lost under all the ingredients and get mixed in. You can't really dip pita bread in it. -It's always great having options but it's a little overwhelming at this place! Too many ingredients, you start to get lost in all the various flavors and can't really identify what you're even eating anymore. I'd probably get less ingredients next time. -I had a hard time eating this because it overfilled with so many ingredients, it either spilled when I mixed it or I got too many of one ingredient in the bite because I couldn't mix it properly. Finally got around to trying Cava which from what I heard is a Mediterranean Chipotle. This location is in La Habra in a bustling shopping and dining plaza. Parking is plentiful but can be busy. I ordered the grilled chicken bowl and falafel with basmata rice and lettuce as the base. There are plenty of toppings such as roasted corn, pickled onions, hummus, tomato + cucumbers, pita crisps etc. They also had juices and drinks available. Seems like a popular takeout spot as well. I love Cava!! Omg, if you hear it's like chipotle that's true, but here it's Mediterranean flavors. The staff were friendly when we visited, and provided all patrons complimentary pita bread. I got my bowl with lentils, greens, falafel, roasted veggies, hummus, and a variety of toppings. Such a great bowl that left me filled, without feeling bloated. Just ordered a steak harissa and got an avocado harissa, tried to swap once the bowl was made and the lady at the front register was very rude, lady wouldn't want to swap out the bowl, after an argument, she agreed to swap the bowl and was given the correct bowl with about half the portion compared to our friends, check my pictures for portion difference. Review is based only on a gift card purchase. I needed to purchase a gift card from CAVA but had only ever been to the CAVA location in Brea. Good thing I searched for locations and realized that this location was in the area I was going to run errands over the weekend. The other option was to purchase an online gift card, but there are times when a physical gift card is just a bit more handy. They open quite early, at 10:45 am. I stopped by a little before 11 am, and there was plenty of parking in the lot but I am sure the lot gets packed closer to lunch or dinner. This was also a first time gift card purchase for me from CAVA. Only one of the doors was unlocked and a few customers inside for the morning. I was able to purchase my gift card quickly and be on my way. I did not order any food today, but will most definitely the next time I am in the area because it is delish! read more

The food at cava is phenomenal. Always our choice when we need something quick and convenient. Unfortunately they started skimping on their portions or they are often sold out of many toppings. Came here for the first time wasn't sure where the line started as I'm used to how it was when it was blaze pizza so the line starts not when you walk right in the front but on the other side where it used to end and really it is slot like a Mediterranean version of chipotle but I personally was not all that impressed with the food I got the saffron rice which was really stuck together so it was like clumps of rice balls but there were definitely plenty of healthy options like veggies and stuff I just think it's not my cup of tea .. I really hate that I even have to do this, I've been to this Cava a total of 4 times and EVERYTIME I've came I've had a bad experience due to the customer service. The first time I came I PAID the up charge for the steak and didn't realize how little I was served until the NEXT time I came and got the same order and received a way bigger serving. Fast forward to the third time I was here, I had heard they gave health care workers discounts and I inquired, which I was told no, which is fine. I pay and leave to only realize I was charged $7.25 for EXTRA meat that I did not order or receive and it took a good 15 minutes for them to sort that out. I was charged $47 for 2 grain & green bowls and fast forward to TODAY, Everything went fine the cashier asked if I wanted my receipt to which I replied yes. He rings me up and then says "I cant give you a receipt after the transaction is finished" to which I expressed to him the last time I was here I was charged for something I didn't received so I would like my receipt and if there is anyone he could ask to assist him with retrieving the receipt and he just kept repeating "no there is no way we can give you the receipt" FRUSTRATING. It's always something at this cava, I blame the managers in charge not the young kids who are working the line. Every-time I come I'm always waiting for something, I get actually very disgusted when I see them add the cucumber or pickled onion because they never let the water drain before adding them and your bowl gets soggy which is very unpleasant. Staff needs to be taught that they should be making bowls they would eat themselves. I added rice and salad, chicken and vegetables, 3 dips, hummus, crazy feta, and tzatziki, added tomatoes, cucumbers, and corn for toppings. Very flavorful, but just small portions. Let me start by saying, I really enjoy Cava. My only complaint is that 75% percent of my visits at dinnertime- which occur by 7 pm- include the news that at least one of my chosen ingredients is out. FOR THE NIGHT! They close at 10:30 pm. So for at least three hours of being open, they are out of lentils or roasted vegetables or pickled onions or feta cheese. And when I ask, they don't intend on making any more for the night. This baffles me. I feel like the lentils and roasted vegetables should always be available as mains for vegetarians. It's frustrating. If this is a planning issue, they should probably be prepared for the possible needs of the day. As I said, this happens A LOT. I guess I should learn my lesson and try another Cava. read more
