Staff was great! Food was good. Plenty of outside seating. Parking ok, bathroom ok. It's an IHOP, small and very attentive to our table. Cannoli pancakes were amazing!!

So small, too dark, mediocre service. With few options for late night eats in this portion of Middletown, I found myself here at 1 am on a Saturday night. After a long theater performance and my belly a'grumblin'. . . a large plate of breakfast food became #1 priority. We were seated quickly, considering the hour, few people were actually there. Except for the corner of high school prom princesses and dates. . . the restaurant was relatively empty. Having walked through what seemed to be a portion of the kitchen we were seated, thankfully as far away as possible from the shrill laughter and camera flashes coming from the masquerade of young adults. Not much to say about the food. IHOP food is standard across most locations, with little variation. I understand that the hour was late, but did lighting have to match the time? I would have felt better about actually seeing the food I was eating. . . And I can understand the zombie staff lurking around in the wee hours. This IHOP is good for satiating that late night hunger, but don't expect any more than a quick way to fill your belly. Probably the quickest trip I've had to this chain.

Just your regular ol' IHOP. And this one is a very tight space, if you're claustrophobic you may want to avoid.

We arrived a little early for our 4:00 p.m. reservation, and the place was already packed. While we waited by the bar, a very nice waitress took our drink order--a lemon drop martini, beautifully crafted, well-balanced, and pleasantly strong. We were seated shortly after and, of course, ordered another. (Both times, I took several sips before remembering to take a photo!) Our waitress, Mikela, was truly lovely--sincere, sweet, and very courteous. She was attentive throughout the meal without ever being intrusive, which made the experience feel relaxed and effortless. At the end, I told her I wished I could give her 6 stars, but Yelp only allows 5. For dinner, we both ordered the seared rare ahi tuna steak. I had mine with garlic bread, while my husband chose mashed potatoes. I also added the $9.95 salad buffet, which is such a great deal--you definitely won't leave hungry. I especially love their buffet-style salad bar, which offers nearly every option one could want. Both of our ahi tuna steaks were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Once again, I dug into my tuna before remembering to take a photo! We finished the meal with a cheesecake to share--another delicious ending to a wonderful dinner. We're already planning our next visit--there are still so many dishes and drinks we'd love to try.

She was nice enough to let me try them and I chose the Trevino which was very good and paired great with my food. The bread was nothing special but solid and the high quality olive oil made up for it. For my main I got the chicken milanese and it was divine. I loved the vinaigrette on top perfectly acidic and vinegary. It cut though the oil and heaviness of the breading which was perfectly salted by the way. The arugula bean salad was sooo good and created such a well balanced meal. The one thing I will say is I believe their fryer does fish and chicken bc my chicken had a slight ocean taste but since I like fish I was not bothered but non fish people beware!

So my family and I came there for lunch and we sat at the bar, while the kids played at the fountain and must I say the atmosphere was great!! Our bartender was indeed Ms Ashley who is an amazing hard-working girl, who now is a bartender and has worked her way up. No matter how busy the place was she was working with a smile on her face and handles the bar very well compared to the other women who was working with her. Who kept leaving the bar and was messing up checks and Ashley would help her fix it with a smile on the middle of a rush, while also helping out the serving staff, you could see them asking her questions and she was very accommodating to the customers. We were just enjoying our food and you can see that she really brings happiness and good energy to the atmosphere at O'Briens and to the other staff. The best part about our time was hearing the other people at the bar, complement her, on her work ethic and how sweet she is to everyone. Our food was amazing. She had such great recommendations for us the lobster roll was stuffed with lobster meat. It was delicious. My favorite on the menu. She was great with the kids getting them drinks and making sure we were well taken care of. All round she was amazing and made our time even better. Later that night we came out to hear the DJ inside and dance to some good tunes, and she was working again! She was fast behind the bar taking orders working hard making drinks with a smile on her face !she just lights up the room! We sat at a high top table and you could hear people so excited she was working and saying hi to her. It's really nice to see how much the customers love her! Best bar ever!! We started off with drinks --gin dirty martini and a classic old fashion, both were perfectly made and crisp. Food: Appetizer-warm bread with butter was a nice starter. However I wish we got the escargot with bone marrow as we watched it being made it looked and smelled delicious. Entrees- we split a 27 oz ribeye and the scallops. The steak was a beautiful cut of meat, well marbled, cooked to perfection and seared so nicely. It was sooo tasty and seared with Malden salt. We are pretty snobby when it comes to steak and this was probably the best steak I've ever had out at a restaurant. The scallops similarly were cooked and seared perfectly and seasoned correctly. Laid on a bed of watercress and potato fondant it was the perfect delicate bite and contrasted nicely with the steak. We got the side of brussel sprouts with peanut Rayu which was a beautiful flavor bomb. I can't say enough about the food. Every single thing we ordered was seasoned and cooked perfectly. I find that to be a rarity in today's restaurant scene. I could not recommend this place more. Our experience completely redeemed the place on those concerns: every bite of food we had was _delicious_ and prepared in a masterly way. And the noise . . . well, it just wasn't even remarkable. It's a popular place, sure, but it's not a madhouse or anything. (I can think of two other nearby places that were a LOT louder than TSK on the nights we visited them.) Okay, but the service - friendly and . . . seemingly caring . . . but - I don't know, not always on top of things? Some things were instantly noted and addressed, others - well, there were big gaps of time between check-ins . . . and it wasn't an especially busy time. Also a couple reasonably major life events that had been noted when making the reservation were not even remarked upon: it was just sort of, "Here's your supper!" We'd certainly go back - the folks in the kitchen are fantastic and I want more of what they make - heck, I'd go back today. The folks out front . . . well, it wasn't an "A-Team" experience, although it wasn't unpleasant or anything.
