This is probably my favorite breakfast place. It's just as good as all the other breakfast places and less expensive. We always get great customer service there. Its open 24 hours. I love their selection of syrups. When I get the pancakes, I always like to try all of them. They have a great selection of food in general, especially their seasonal stuff like their pumpkin spice pancakes. I work late nights, so it's always nice to grab a late dinner or early breakfast. It's always clean and the décor although modest is very tasteful. The service is quick and the food is delicious. I will go back a million times. Yeah IHOP! read more

Went with my daughter and grandson to get pancakes. Its I Hop, that's their thing...... PANCAKES...... Last time I came the pancakes were raw... Maybe it will be better this time ???? Nope...... Everyone had great pancakes, except my daughter's blueberry pancakes..... Totally raw in the middle..... I'm tired of sending stuff back, talking to the manager, nothing works. The worst iHop location I've ever been to. They don't even deserve the 1 Star. My BF & I were just there trying to get breakfast but was never acknowledged. Got seated & was told our Server will be with us shortly. 10 minutes later & still no one came by to take our order, NOTHING!! Other customers came after us & at least got their server to take their drink orders. WTF!! Stupid place wasn't even busy. Guest they don't want our business so we walked out. We sat in curbside for 23 minutes waiting for our order. We had already called from curbside when we arrived at 08:43 am. The order was supposed to be ready then so ok, we can wait. The server said she would bring right out when it was ready. "Oh, I didn't see your black suburban sitting in curbside!" She explained. Food was cold by then. We were able to eat at the restaurant and chose a table outside for an early dinner. If you like green tea, they get five stars for that, organic green tea! They were out of turkey, so I had the chicken option. It came with 3 sides with somewhat healthy choices including a green salad and spinach. The service was attentive and the food was served without a long wait at the correct temperature. Prices seem to be going up at restaurants and it was close to $15 for that dinner. However, if you qualify for the senior discount, that brings it down to around $10. They said the credit card machine was not working, so we had to pay cash. Zero Stars. Check-out staff does not know how to work a DEBIT card and kept insisting my card was declined. Hello, a debit card needs a PIN and if you keep processing it as a credit card, of course it won't work. I insisted I needed to put my PIN, the manager insisted they didn't do it that way. She was in such a hurry I'm sure she didn't hear a word I said. I had to break a $100 bill, held up a whole line of diners. I went 700 ft to a gas station and the same card worked. Solid suburban brunch place. Their bread-and-butter items: eggs and pancakes turn out really well. Skillets are also a tasty choice! This place won't let you down if you're looking for a reliable brunch place that is (ever-so-slightly) nicer than Denny's ;) The only down side is that this location often has waits on the weekends however so you have to go at the right times. Sometimes we've had to go elsewhere since they don't take phone reservations. read more

Came in for the "all you can eat pancakes." What I actually got was "all you can stand to wait for before you get fed up and just leave pancakes." Came in with my family late on a weeknight for a quick bite. We waited forever for our food even though we were one of only three tables in the place. Finally the food showed up, and knowing the service was so slow, I thought I would be smart and order my second plate of "all you can eat" pancakes right then. We all started eating. I quickly finished my first plate and then waited ... and waited. Everyone at the table finished their food, and then we waited and waited some more. The only bright spot about my experience at this establishment was the service I received from one tan Asian fellow with glasses. I have to admit that, although the food was mediocre and the environment was dull, my waiter, or should I say my "prince in spectacles and apron," made my dining at least bearable. He was a tall man, with wide-set shoulders and gleaming smile that brightened the whole room; he was almost akin to a horse. Suffice to say, he was nothing less than a stallion. I am not a homosexual, but I dare any heterosexual man to resist having a slight tingling of warmth emanate from the very core of his soul after hearing this Asian steed ask him what their preferred beverage would be in the most calm, elegant tenor. After I had half-finished my country fried steak that was impossibly overcooked on the outside yet undercooked on the inside, my wise waiter had the generosity to offer me a to-go box. I didn't know IHOP served dinner food. I was kinda impressed. The pot roast was tender, Chicken fried steak HUGE, Philly cheese steak sandwich wonderful, and the Tilapia very good. Staff was friendly and attentive. Only thing that kept me from 5 stars is the food took its time coming out. i came here with a large group around 3am. it was crowded/understaffed, but we needed to eat ASAP before we started fasting. the servers were super accommodating and let us order to-go, to get our food quicker, and eat it at a table despite the waiters being busy. the best part was we didn't have to ask for anything - a couple servers would come by with extra water, napkins, and syrups. the food was tasty, too! read more

It's healthier, and C. I really like bacon and sausage! The hot food is hot and the cold food is cold. And the coffee doesn't taste like soap. AND the watr is filtered. Service-- Friendly and sincere. Lindsey was a total sweetheart. Atmosphere-- Quiet w/ good music on a Wednesday 8am. I've been here late night (12am-2am) and there are some interesting folks. Once there was a group of maybe 20 people with little kids and the kids were running all over the place. First off, why on earth were little kids out at that time? Second, I wanted to smack the parents for a complete lack of discipline. It doesn't exactly reflect on the restaurant, but people make me nuts sometimes. Sunday brunch is a nightmare. I had never been to this venue before, but I found I liked it much better than the one closer to my house, the Great America IHOP. Went here around 8am on a Saturday with my dad. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and the parking lot was pretty spacious. We were seated immediately after entering. Our server was friendly, and the food didn't take too long to come out. I had ordered the International Crepe Passport breakfast, which came with a crepe (I got the Swedish version), two eggs, two pieces of bacon, and two sausage links. Overall, it was a very filling and tasty breakfast for a really good price (around $8 for my plate). Surprisingly, my dad's omelette cost a dollar more than my breakfast did. Also, we were pleasantly surprised when the manager came around to check up on the tables, which is always a nice factor in restaurants. I'm sure we will be back soon. read more

I Hop is I Hop, enough said. Ever since I've arrived in the Bay area, I've tried countless breakfast joints and thought I'd never find myself at I Hop ever again. I was wrong, and didn't have many expectations for it because everytime I went in the past, I found it to be pretty pricey. This time however, my boyfriend and I received great deals on our meals. I can't remember exactly what it was, but our waiter helped us put our order together in a way that gave us the best bang for our buck. But concerning the food, I know no better way to describe it than with the words of the girl eating in the adjacent booth to me. She saw the first thing on the menu (the Split-Decision Breakfast) and decided it was perfect. She began to explain that it came with two eggs, two bacon strips, two sausages, two french toast slices, AND two pancakes. She was extremely excited, and proceeded to tell the rest of her party that the Split-Decision, "literally has two of EVERYTHING!" I also ordered it, and was definitively satisfied with the variety of options a available. Has the recession made the food smaller? Hash browns? More like trimmings off of the peelings. Small portions are the trend at this restaurant. Parking is tight, but you can park across the street near old Mervyn's. I think you really pay more for less here. Don't expect large portions of pancakes or sides.
