We sat very close to the cashier and there was a constant amount of noise and the waitresses and waiters acted so unprofessional and it smelled like bathroom all over the place and I couldn't even eat my food peacefully because of the foul smell. Never going back again, I rather go to the one in Port Hueneme near the Naval Base. Where you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. read more

Out here on vacation and was craving pancakes so me and my bf came here. First off there was something in my strawberry lemonade (stuck to the glass) so I asked for another one. Only to have our waiter tell me it's just pulp from the lemonade. Stuck to the glass, I don't think so. She. Round me another one, but I was afraid to drink it because I was already grossed out. Then the food comes out and I had green sprinkle residue on my eggs and pancakes. I asked the waiter what the green stuff was and she said sprinkles because they make sprinkled pancakes and some must've gotten on my food. I said that's okay. When I went spread my butter there was a clump of potato or banana mixed in with my butter so I asked for a whole new stack of pancakes. She then told me it's just butter. At this time I was sick of having her tell me what was what was what instead of providing me with great customer service and getting me what I asked for. As for my bfs food, when his came out his turkey bacon was under cooked so he asked if they can cook them a little more and the waiter said "next time ask for crispy" After that, the waiter had the manager wait on us. No apology or anything. So overall, bad service, dirty and horrible food. We won't be back. read more

Ordered a omelette with no diary to go. Confirmed by employee, and I paid little under 14.00 for eggs, salsa, and hash browns. That's ok, but still couldn't get the order right. Only 3 ingredients plus one I didn't want; CHEESE. Had to drive back extra 7 miles, so I called to correct order. On hold, then says couldn't understand me? Arrived and manager seems to think I'm a liar. Opens omelette container up(2 bites missing), and STARTS CUTTING, AND DIGGING THROUGH THE OMELETTE. Like I brought it back just because I have nothing better to do. Waitress was nice and did her job well, but I'm sure it was the cook. But the manager is the failure and the loss of my business. This was the 2nd time for the same mistake. You can charge me to much, and make an occasional mistake. But insulting me, treating me like I'm a liar, without even an apology is just bad business. Used to come here with some coworkers after work on Friday nights and one day we got a new waitress. She seemed to be in a hurry and had an attitude. We ordered and when we got our food I had a salad and when I took the first bite there was a long blonde hair coming out of the salad. I took it out and told the waitress that there was a long hair on the salad she immediately began to say that it must be mine so I asked her if she was blind cuase I have a bald head. She then looked at everyone at the table and said it must have been one of theirs I told her to take the plate and that I did not want anything anymore. My wife and I recommend this place as excellent for breakfast, because of the food and service. We go here once a week for breakfast. We go on Mondays before 8AM when it's less crowded. . We especially like the Harvest Grain and Nut pancakes with Butter Pecan Syrup, and the Belgian waffles. The entire staff is friendly, prompt, and helpful. We especially enjoy Shauna, our usual waitress. She makes us feel welcome, by asking how our kids and grandkids are doing, and swapping short family stories with us. She saves us time by remembering what we usually order, and by getting our check ready without us having to ask. She also lets us know what the newest menu items are. IHOP is your typical diner, but there's really nothing ordinary about it. I've been eating here for years, and the food is always great, as is the ambiance. IHOP serves delicious breakfast food all day, every day, from pancakes, waffles, crepes and eggs, to omelets and sandwiches. My favorite food at IHOP is definitely their pancakes, they're amazing; the blueberries that come with it are always really fresh, they feel like they've just been picked. The place is also very homey and traditional, and the staff makes you feel right at home. If I could give less than 1 star I would... I walked in to this location for the first time and I see 3-4 associates plus the manager chit-chatting at the front counter and all just stare at me not knowing what to say or ask...so I had to make the first contact and said for "three please" one girl pointed to a table by the front door that was being clean at the time and offered to sit me here and I said "yes, that would be great!" As I waited I see a family that came in after me be sited before me and at that particular table. I asked to speak to the manager after we where sat in this corner very cramped spot and the manager just kept telling me that "it's ok" well no it's not ok because then my drinks where messed up. Not a happy customer and not how a manager should manage a restaurant. And now we get to stare at our food since we were not given any forks...noticed that the sausage link was not fully cooked. I normally go to Best Breakfast but decided to try IHOP... my 5yr and my 13 yr old son regretted not going to our usual. read more

Well where should I begin. The service was terrible, a twenty minute wait turned into an hour. My table was given away due to a mismatch in names, (because I just found out I'm not the only human with my name on Earth :-/ ) which could've been avoided if they had a better service system. Try using last name initials? Maybe someone who is a bit more pro active in CLEARLY vocalizing names. Its normally not a big deal, but I had people that required eating at certain times due to medical reasons and they had to wait beyond their threshold. Oh and beware. If you want to eat healthy, it's an extra 1.99 for wheat toast... Amazing. read more

I been going to this locate for a long time (like everyone else) Late night craving/ mornings with the love ones. Food is always delicious. Can't complain. Reason for this review... I was very disappointed on the waitress name Tina. First time I had EVER send back the plates. Second round was amazing. In between all this situation, I was asking the waitress (Tina) about what was going on. I received 5 (yes I did count) "I don't know" she knew nothing about what was going on. But, yet she works there. I found the whole conversation very unprofessional. Example: you're working and you get ask a question about YOUR work. You continue to say "I don't know" (Where can I find this, what section?) and still, "I don't know"... I found it very confusing and very unprofessional. This doesn't mean I won't be coming back. But I WILL request for a different waitress next time! I do hope that we all point out the cons in a respectful manner. Guess will see when I go back! read more

If not, then be wary of this restaurant.- I used to come to this IHOP with my family since I was a child, usually every Sunday after church, or for special occasions (you better believe IHOP was my restaurant of choice when I was asked where I wanted to eat on my birthday). Even as I got older and started visiting this restaurant with my SO, the waitresses would remember me and my family, even inquire to how my dad was doing. It really made me feel welcome and even like visiting family friends. Then one day they took my regular order, the chicken club sandwich, off the menu. I was told that I could still order the old sandwich, even though it was no longer on the menu. Awesome, right? Nah. I place my order and receive a dried out chicken breast between two slices of bread with only lettuce, not the multi-layered, toasted sandwich with bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes like you'd expect. Incredibly disappointing, but not the worst thing in the world, right? I sent the order back explaining that it was nothing like what had been on the menu only recently. I never send back orders, so I was reluctant to do so, but the thing they gave me was so unappetizing and not usual for the quality of food I was used to receiving. What I got back was correct and I went about eating my sandwich and some of my fries. That's when I saw them. Hidden at the bottom of my fries were three very dark, and very distinctive coarse hairs. They put pubic hair in my food. I was so upset I had to vomit in the bathroom and came back to my table crying. My SO, who had witnessed this entire incident called the manager over (or maybe she was the owner? She wasn't wearing the typical uniform but regular clothing. She was likely in her very late 30s to early 40s, brunette - usually worn in a mid to low pony tail, a little overweight, and Caucasian). This woman was actually arguing with us over it being pubic hair. She said it was facial hair. I don't know what kind of scraggly ass cooks they're hiring, but I don't see how arguing where the hair came from was helpful to the situation. The only thing she offered was to comp my meal. I've never been back to this restaurant and I've given up on IHOPs all together. read more

This place is LITERALLY always packed. It doesn't matter what time or day you come, you're bound to wait at least 20 minutes. Management has to do something about their wait time, it's horrible for business. I've seen a lot of people leave simply because they don't have time to wait so long. Great Service!!!!.....Excellent food prep. Portions are good size. Wait time minimal to be seated even when restaurant is busy. Wait time for food orders to be processed, made and delivered to table very short. Restaurant is well staffed with servers, greeters cooks, and cashiers. Service all the way around at a high level. Makes the meal experience much more enjoyable. Ate there with my wife on 8/15/18 and 8/19/18 and we will be back....Just live down the street. But what was lacking was the attention to customer service. No one came to ask about refills or check status of food until we were done with our food. I came to this establishment Friday night and when my food came out the toast was burnt but as funny as this sounds they put the burnt toast on the bottom so it wasn't visible but the taste of burnt toast took over the BLT, i wasn't trying to get a free meal i took 2 bites trying to eat it since I myself work in customer service and really hate complaining therefore i took 2 bites but the burnt flavor over powered the BLT so I calmly told the waitress about our situation and she took the BLT away and brought me a BLT with out toasting the bread and the fries were honestly cold and i just felt like they did that on purpose and the other part that was irritating was that there was a guy which just got here from a different state and had no money so i asked him if he wanted to eat, he said yes and i told him to have a seat at a booth and before sitting down at the booth i told my waitress the that i was going to pay for his meal, i went to the restroom and came back out and i looked at his table and surprisingly noticed that he didn't have a menu or anything in front of him and I asked the waitress if she was going to hive him service and she said oh sorry but with a disgusted face which i think its rude. Then the manager comes out and tells me that i ate half of the sandwich which i only took 2 bites out of it. By far the worst experience ever! read more

He asked for military discount and she only applied it to his meal and not the rest of the check. Well this was my first time here, I walked in and I only had to wait about 10 mins before they had a table ready. The waitress was nice and took my drink order fairly quickly. But the food did take a while to come out. She only checked up on us once, only when we asked for more coffee. Overall it's a nice new ihop but they need to work out a few things. This IHOP deserves the 5 stars for great reasons. The staff were excellent providing good service with a good attitude. They actually felt like they were trying to work. Doing out of the ordinary, not minimum. I would also recommend ordering scrambled eggs here. They are tasty cheep and addictive. Food here also are at a fair price and you can order any on the menu at any time. The gripe here is the location, not the safest place to be around due to rude and arrogant people but that will not dictate how this restaurant is doing keep up the good work. read more

My partner and I had come from a great weekend in San Jose visiting there. We were hungry having been on the road for five hours. I ordered the Belgian Chocolate Pancakes. They were a bit on the dry side. My Pancakes weren't horrible but had I known they were going to come out that way I would have ordered a regular stack of their pancakes, can't go wrong with those. We got there very close to closing, it was Sunday, I get it, they had a long hard day, they want to go home; but if you're that rushed to close up then you shouldn't let customers come in anymore. If you have time to take a customer's money than you should give them time to eat what they paid for. I would recommend the Ihop in Camarillo, very friendly, they don't rush you. Other than that, considering the time we went in they were cordial. read more

This place has shitty service every single time. The host was rude and said we could Not sit at a both. Then we waited a long time and did not get our drinks, then we left. The last time we came here we did oreder food, the sampler was burnt and the omlette was a mess on the plate, besides the poor presentation, the burnt eggs and burnt samplers taste wasn't very good either. I have been coming to this IHOP for years..service is always prompt and very friendly. It seems like there are a lot of regular customers here. Considering how many tables there are and the variety of choices on the menu, the food is delivered quite quickly. It's good and there's plenty of it.
