Been here a few times through quarantine due to my girlfriend's love of breakfast food but this is not my first choice. I have yet to see the cooks wear their masks completely covering their mouths and noses. Most of the time their masks are just hanging from their ear so I end up baking the food in my oven at home to be extra safe. The last takeout order I got had flies in the box so I tossed it away. Their food is serviceable and the floor staff are always very friendly no matter what time of day. Their saving grace is serving breakfast all day and its kind of the only choice for delivery/pick-up for that meal this side of Midlothian. This location is certainly adequate, even good if you get there at the right times and really enjoy breakfast food, but I fully suggest being careful during Covid. read more

Placed an online order this Sunday because we didn't feel like cooking breakfast. We should have because it was not good. Placed 4 orders and only 1 of them was right. The second order got the wrong pancakes and the omelet was a hot mess. Looked like a child cooked it and just threw it in the container. The third order eggs were wrong. The last order was a steak and that wasn't cooked. We had to put it in the air fryer to cook more and the eggs were wrong too and missing the hash browns. Not only that, I was charged 2X for the order. Called the restaurant and the lady said I had to wait a few days to see if the extra charge would fall off. Total disappointment. I feel like if you're spending your money you should get what you pay for. I understand if you make a single mistake on the entire order but to mess up 3 out of 4 orders is just plain ridiculous. Get some people back there that knows how to read the orders. Who seriously wants to drive back to the restaurant and go inside and wait again for them to correct it? Will never order from this location again. read more

This IHOP gets 3 stars only because the staff were so friendly and nice. I ordered double blueberry pancakes with a garden veggie omelet to go. When I started to eat my food, I quickly realized my pancakes tasted like bites of uncooked flour! All of the pancakes were undercooked! read more

Went here earlier today when the restaurant was at barely 25% capacity. After waiting for over five minutes and not seeing a server to take my drink order, I opted to leave and get fast food. I likely will not be coming back to this location ever. read more

This IHOP is great. They always make me feel special even if it's packed and the service is always fast and courteous. While the menu isn't anything fancy but it's IHOP, what did you expect? I suggest the cinnamon French toast or the chocolate chip pancakes. This location also has a full dinner menu, so it's fine to get pancakes for lunch or fried chicken at 9am. So I decided to go catch me a bite today at IHOP, and everything was, refills for my drink arrived to the table before I even asked for them, food was great, service was as well, I enjoyed my time there. Although, honesty & being responsible goes a long way anywhere you are. I was seated near the middle section of the restaurant where there's a divide and in between the walls, is basically where dishes are washed and drinks are served, and amongst two females that were there, one of them, named India reached into her pocket and pulled her phone out and answered a call, as she ducked down behind the drink machine that has oranges and orange juice on the front face, seemingly hiding so that no one would see her. read more

The staff is always very nice and efficient. My drink or my coffee is always full. The management staff is on the floor and go around to check on their staff and the customers. My food is very consistent and typical for IHOP. So that's good. I love their french toast and turkey sausage. They also have turkey bacon available for breakfast plates and for BLT sandwiches if you like that. It's great for large parties, they try to make sure that all the peoples food comes out at the same time so that everyone can eat at the same time. Our server this time we went explained that he also has a large party that he was serving so that was nice. Even though he had a large group my coffee was always hot and full carafe. He kept us informed about when our food was coming up and when he put our order in and how it was coming along in the kitchen. IHOP Midlothian VA review New menus, one item smacked me in the face is my favorite, country omelette, increased in price by $2! Now $9.69. New menu items include new French Toast made from Brioche. looks great so i ordered the Banana version. They also have strawberry and peach. Cynthia, the waitress, brought to my attention the differences in prices - only difference is bacon: 2 pieces bacon, hash browns and 2 Brioche French toast, $6.99; 4 pieces bacon, $7.99, etc. so, going for the Brioche rather than my norm, the country omelette. Restaurant appears clean and neat. Wait staff is excellent - professional, friendly and kind. Nice and quiet place with good Muzak in the background. Silverware nice and clean and in good condition. Iced tea excellent (normally I only drink coffee but today it's warm outside and I was driving with the top down, so very thirsty). I am currently at the ihop on Midlothian trpk and this has been an the worst experience. I usually only eat ihop on special occasions however today i chose to come due to an emailed promotion I received. After being seated immediately I presented the server with the deal that was sent to me. I was immediately turned down, being told they do not have the promotion at this location. We then stated we will be taking our order to go. The server walked away and didnt come back til maybe 10 monutes later only because we called her. I'm a local delivery driver. I was expecting a long wait time to pickup an order at 11am Easter Sunday morning, as expected it was packed and no where to park. First off, everytime I walk inside this location as a delivery driver I get told to go back to my car and call the number for pickup even though Doordash app tells us to come inside for pickup. No pickup parking spots available but luckily found a spot in view of the pickup spots. I called the number and said the customer's name and was told the order would be ready in 5 minutes. I was asked what parking spot I was in, I said the parking lot is full at capacity but I'm parked near the pickup spots and I was standing in front of my car with my doordash shirt, mask and hat on. She REFUSED to bring me the order until I was able to park in a numbered spot and called back. Even after I told her I would wait at the door they bring the food out to prevent waiting 30+ minutes for a parking spot to become available 15' from where I was parked at. She still REFUSED. I report the refusal to doordash support as I am required to do. Doordash support calls the merchant. 30 minutes later the general manager comes out the door with the food COLD and tells me I can no longer come to IHOP...are you serious? I did absolutely nothing wrong and only did my job. I've reported it to doordash and ihop corporate. Why did I get shunned for simply trying to deliver their product to their customer as I was contracted to do? read more

Rodrigo is the best server / busser / host you guys can have in there. I usually don't come to IHOP regularly... may be I do twice a year. I've been lucky to have him as our server twice in this location... Really nice dude, kind and multitasking. He should be a manager if that's in his plans! I love breakfast! Actually, I love eggs..we had gotten back in town Tues afternoon before Thanksgiving and breakfast was calling me...so I HOP-ed over to IHOP....oh is that cheesy! Ugh! Side-note; I can't believe I haven't reviewed this restaurant.. However, I actually quit going a number of years ago....it was Not clean....meaning the floors weren't swept well and the food was actually smudged against the partitions HOWEVER, over the last 5 yrs or so it has completely reversed itself and is neat, clean, with excellent service and the food is fine. 40 minute wait with no apology from manager, July 22, 2015. The manager claimed there were 'many tables' when there were only two other tables seated. We've actually been here for 50 minutes, are the only ones in the entire restaurant and are still waiting on an order of pancakes. read more

Came in on a pretty slow day and the service was slow as well. Ordered my food and when I received it, the French toast was poorly prepared, there was egg everywhere, my eggs was crunchy and almost felt as if there was some type of shell in it and they were supposed to be scrambled with cheese. Midnight service was terrible, especially considering no one was even in the store! The five dollar all you can eat special is a scam as they charge you 1.49 extra per pancake you add chocolate chips on!! Chocolate chips!! Took over 2 hours for us to be served, and sent on our way. My wife and I ate breakfast on Sunday, around 11:00 AM. The food was hot and cooked perfectly. We were very impressed at how efficient this location is run. When we pulled into the parking lot, we saw a lot of vehicles and assumed we would be waiting. To our surprise, we were seated immediately, orders taken soon thereafter and we had our food within ten minutes. Every worker we encountered was very polite and helpful. Our hats off to the manager. We highly recommend this IHOP and we plan to be frequent patrons. read more

I went with my husband at around eleven for a somewhat brunch meal. Both of us were cranky but our server handled it well. She provided great service. I wish I remembered her name. They had a decent size crowd but more servers then cook ratio so food was slow. Good quality though. Clean bathrooms and store. The other customers are funny so if you like people watching is a hoot.
