The building to look for from Broad St.
    Amy I.

If you love hearing "Hey baby what can I get ya" and a small town feel southern cooking. THIS is the place to be! It's right on Broad St. going to Manakin and it's a little white building. Super tiny and really homey inside! Delicious Grits! I got a Omelette with mushrooms and onions and a biscuit ! My family member got French toast with hashbrowns, grits (she added butter to it) and an egg. She loved it! Highly recommend!!

A hidden gem just over the county line into Goochland. Welcoming staff, incredibly fast service and great coffee!! I love the country diner feel. We stopped in for breakfast. The eggs were cooked perfectly as ordered. The hash browns were tasty as well. The prices are very reasonable. A great way to start the day.

    The Biggest Breakfast In Town*

The restaurant is a very quaint country style place which was very fitting. We went around 9:45 am on a Saturday, so it was very crowded. There aren't a lot of places to sit or places to wait outside, but the food made up for it. Service was very good and everybody seemed to bounce off of each other if they saw something that needed to be done. The food was amazing, I got the biggest breakfast in town, and for the price (10.75 I believe), it was an amazing deal for a lot of food. Both parents got the biscuits and gravy, and from what I tried of theirs, it was amazing! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back. Overall, if I could score this with halves, this would easily be a 4.5, but with the lack of seating or waiting area I have to go with a 4.

Hanging with my Candy today! Tom wanted to remain incognito!!!

Usually stop for breakfast before a golf game at sycamore. Never had a bad experience there and the servers are fast and efficient.

It was my first visit, and I was genuinely impressed with the ambiance, service, and overall quality of the meal. The menu offers a nice variety of food and cocktails. I ordered the espresso martini, which was smooth and well balanced, and my boyfriend had the Vieux Carré, which he really enjoyed. We started with the cast iron goat cheese, and it was rich, layered in flavor, and paired with bread that was delicious on it's own. For my entrée, I chose the margherita pizza, and it was one of the best I've had. The sauce was perfect, and the crust had an ideal texture and flavor. My boyfriend ordered the spicy sausage & black pepper honey pizza. While neither of us found it particularly spicy, it was still bold and very flavorful. Service was friendly and efficient throughout the evening. It was a wonderful experience overall, and I'm looking forward to returning.

When we first walked in, the place was pretty crowded, but we were able to grab a couple spots at the bar and figured we'd settle in for a good night. That's where things went sideways. The bartender appeared to be the only one working, and while I understand being busy, the attitude and behavior were honestly shocking. Every interaction felt aggressive. Remotes getting slammed around. Napkins and pens tossed onto the counter. Water being splashed onto the floor like a toddler throwing a tantrum. The entire atmosphere at the bar felt tense and uncomfortable. It got to the point where we almost felt awkward ordering anything because every request seemed like it was ruining their night. At one point another couple sat down next to us and almost immediately started looking around like, "is this really happening right now?" I actually ended up warning them that no, they weren't imagining it, and that it had been our experience the entire time too. That alone should tell you how uncomfortable the atmosphere was. Which is unfortunate because the kitchen actually did their part. The food was good. Really good. But good food only carries a place so far when the service makes you want to leave before the meal even arrives. I've worked in and around hospitality long enough to understand busy nights happen. But there's a huge difference between being overwhelmed and taking it out on customers. Tazza Kitchen has the food figured out. Now they just need the front of house experience to match it.

Even with the crowd, the experience never felt rushed or chaotic. That says a lot about how well they run things. We started with the calamari, crab miso soup, octopus, crispy tuna roll, and tuna tacos. Everything was excellent. The octopus was especially well done, tender with great flavor, and the tuna dishes were fresh and perfectly balanced. The crab miso soup was a standout and not something you see everywhere, which made it even better. Service is always strong here, but this night really stood out. Attentive, polished, and genuinely welcoming without being over the top. The restaurant itself is just a lovely space. It feels like a place you can settle into, whether it is a special night out or just a casual dinner close to home. We are lucky to have this as a neighborhood spot. It is consistent, high quality, and one of the best places in the Richmond area to rely on when you want a great meal without overthinking it.

Everyone I interacted with was really nice and walked my friend and I through how to play. We ended up also eating upstairs and the food offerings were really yummy. We shared the soft pretzels as a starter which came with a delicious mustard sauce. I ended up getting their chicken sandwich as my main, I found the sandwich itself to be fried a bit too hard so I can't reccomend that but their fries appeared to be hand cut and those were absolutely delicious.
