Molly-O's has the perfect location for a breakfast in York. They have ample outdoor seating, in the center of town, with distant views of the beach. The menu is a bit basic, but they still have some nice offerings for a solid breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We stopped by for breakfast and ordered the Two Eggs Any Way. The eggs were cooked nicely, but we could've used more potatoes. The bread also could have used a bit more butter. The sausage was yummy and cooked well. Very busy place. Food was o.k. I ordered one of their 'famous muffins' and was disappointed. I ordered a raspberry and there were no raspberries to be found. Blue berry muffin was great but for a place to have a flat top grill and use liquid eggs and thin pre cooked bacon for their sandwiches is just pure laziness. On top of that it's overpriced. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The sausage was super greasy and small portions. It came with bacon but had to order side of sausage because they won't substitute sausage patties for bacon. Holy Molly-O's!! This little hole in the wall diner is a corned beef hash lover's dream! No canned stuff here, and cooked to crisp perfection! Tried this 4yrs ago when they first opened and tried it again this past weekend. The toast is still stale, the home fries are clearly frozen from a bag. Service is slowwwww slow slow, even with waitresses now using iPads. Not the same Molly-O's we know and love(d). I also visibly saw the kid cleaning the tables blow his nose and not wash his hands. We won't be returning. I'm shocked they are still opened...probably bc Goldenrod isn't open for breakfast anymore and really no other options in YB. read more

I walked in this morning while there were a bunch of confused looking people hanging around outside. I expected to give my name or be told to stand in line and the rudest woman finally acknowledged me after I stood there being eyeballed and said "I don't have enough people, you're going to have to wait outside." I said ok, but where? She told me to figure it out by who was here first. So we stood around like others looking confused. A few families exited and nobody came out to let anyone in. Second time visiting the recently renovated restaurant with new owners. First time I gave them a pass for the slowness because the food was good. We sat at the counter that now serves liquor and they have extended hours for dinner. The refresh is nice and it's very clean. Both times we went were for breakfast The staff is very good and for the most part efficient. The food is ok. Not great and this time the chocolate chip pancakes had a couple black beans in them that stopped the diner in her tracks. This 9 year old hates beans. The ten year old ate a few bites of her omelette but it was undercooked and it comes with one tiny piece of toast. Not sure I'm going back. I would've like to give this company zero stars. But there wasn't that option. So I gave a one star. We went to Here today, Sunday, July 28, 2019. I have a service dog. The very first thing that they asked was do you have registration papers for her we need to see them. I said legally you cannot ask that. There is no registration papers for service dogs. I got dirty looks from one of the waitresses and then I got a dirty look from the accurate person behind the counter. And I said service dogs are not required to have registration papers there is no such thing those are illegal they're fake. And mind you it does sound like I was yelling but I wasn't I'm going deaf so I talk louder than normal. And then another customer spoke up and said what you need to at least have her labeled. I go actually I don't have to label her at all . And I said, for your information service dogs do not need to be labeled but she is labeled. And the only reason I got snappy is because she was rude to me. I try to be nice when I explain things but I already got the rude nasty looks from both of the waitresses and then this customer speaking up so I'm like you know what forget it will go somewhere else to eat. We went right next-door and let me tell you next-door was amazing. Once I find out the name of the place I will be doing a yelp and trip adviser a review on Them as well. They allowed Ali in because they know that you're only allowed to ask two questions and that is is that a service dog and what test is that the dog perform. They even knew that registries for Docs service dogs are fake unless there is a registered service dog through a training facility. And that registration it's just sore certification is just stating that that facility train the dog to be a service dog. It's not stating that it is legally a service dog. Because there is no document stating a legal service dog. The only proof that can be required by them as well. Oh and when I went back to explain to them that I wasn't trying to sound rude and yelling it's I'm going deaf in both of my ears and I do talk really loud and then I explain to her I said legally you cannot ask for certification papers. And she starts telling me how one of her family members has a service dog and they have certification papers that they show everybody. I go well legally you cannot request anybody to show you any documentation that their service dog is a service dog. It is actually against the law for you to do so. And she continued to say that it her family member has it so she understands a lot. I said well actually you're wrong. And she was being very snotty and snotty to me so that's why I had a little attitude when I said well actually you're wrong. I said and I handed her the ATA card and she's like here you can just have this back ago why don't you call them or go on the ATA website and in the search engine put service animals. And I said educate yourself. It's like nope you go you can have the spot I got all right well you know what you can't you only have yourself to blame when you get a lawsuit. There is a reason for the low rating. I heard it was under new ownership so I hope the owner is reading these and is humble enough to either take charge or close the doors. What a waste of prime real estate in York.... Service was TERRIBLE. To the point where you're scratching your head?? only 1.5 waitresses, 1.5 line cooks, under staffed, but at least be friendly and explain and apologize and for Gooodnes Sake get everyone a cup a coffee before you start clearing empty tables. You cant take anymore guests anyways, so why buss that table only waitress before you've greeted every guest of yours? Lots of sitting around, food sitting in the window getting cold, lots of people walking out, cranky unfriendly staff. Our bill was laid on the table before our food showed up. Had to get our own menus, had to grab our own silverware and even had to go remind the cooks to take my pancakes off the griddle so I could eat before I left. The rest of my family had already gotten their food 15 mins prior. I literally walked up to the line, asked them to plate those 3 pancakes and they did. Unfortunately, it seems to be the only breakfast place open in walking distance on a Monday in York center. the place was dirty, flies everywhere and an unappealing fly strip hanging from the ceiling. Looking back we should have left, but instead hung in there. The staff seemed disorganized and confused.
