Went to IHOP Friday evening and was told to pick a seat anywhere. Picked a seat and the waitress promptly took our drink orders. Ordered the eggs Benedict and found out the eggs were hard boiled. The ham was ultra thick- I felt like it was too thick. Was not happy. Will never order the eggs Benedict again! Service was good except at the end when we were ready to leave and the waitress disappeared. She brought our change and it was either leave a $7 tip on a $77 bill or a $20 tip. We tracked down another waitress and asked for change for the 20 and left a $15 tip. Not impressed and not sure if I will try again. read more

Absolutely horrible!! Have yet to have a good experience here, finally fed up and will never come back. Our last visit was in December 2015. Went for breakfast, ordered and we were waiting for a long time.. Then everyone else around us that came in after us was receiving their food.. I walked up to our waitress asking why we haven't received our food, and she said "I'm so sorry I forgot to put your order is. I forgot that you guys were sitting back there." How can someone forget? She had to walk by us to get to all the other tables! Service is horrible We said we were leaving and wanted to speak to the manager. The manager apologized and gave us vouchers.. Vouchers could only be used at the Rochester iHop and within 60 days. Now talk about strict rules, our voucher was expired! This was among the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant in a long time. We ordered our food, expecting to have it in at MOST 15-20 minutes. Instead, we had to wait nearly an hour for our food to arrive, and even then, it was less than subpar. Sure, the pancakes I ordered were good enough, but having to wait nearly an hour for what I got really wasn't worth it. My mom was with me, as were my sister and a friend of hers. While my sister's friend got okay-looking food, my mother's bacon was raw and her eggs were completely wrong from how she ordered them. My sister's french toast was spongy enough to put her at unease, which isn't the mark of a very good restaurant. As for the drinks we got, it took at least fifteen minutes for them to get them to us, and while my milkshake was surprisingly pretty good, the lemonades the rest of my group ordered were nearly transparent and only vaguely tasted like lemons. When my sister's friend asked how long it would be until our food would arrive (mind you, nearly half an hour after our order was placed), we were told it had only been seventeen minutes, despite my sister having actually timed how long it had been since we'd placed our order. Not to mention the first time we'd come that day, we waited for about ten minutes only to be told there would be a fifteen minute wait. We then left to go to the nearby Petsmart to get supplies for my leopard gecko, Richter. Thankfully, the mozzerella sticks I got as my appetizer were pretty good. Over all, if you want a good meal in Rochester, IHOP really isn't the way to go. If I'm going to recommend anything, just take a stop by the nearby Taco Bell like we did. Tell them Daemon sent you, they'll have no idea who you're talking about, but you can be damn sure they'll have your food ready before you can even finish filling your fountain drink. read more

Absolutely the worst restaurant experience we've had. To start we had three different waitresses come over and ask for our drink order. We politely told the second two that someone had already taken our order, just goes to show there was no communication or organization. None of the waitresses smiled or were friends or personable actually I found who I assumed to be the manager quite shrill and snappy. Next, our food comes out and every single thing is cold. Not one hot item, we got eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns. By the time the waitress came back to check on us it was 25 minutes later so we just ate our food anyway. When she came back to clear our table she had plates from another table and she dropped the silverware from the plate onto my lap and just chuckled and said "are you okay". Yes I was okay lol but it was just so unprofessional and unfriendly and unwelcoming. We will not be returning for any reason. read more

Mom and Dad went there because it was convenient. They went there shortly after it opened in 2015 and were disappointed then. It took them over a year to return. Again it was disappointing. It is a breakfast fare. Bottom line, they are overpriced for what you get. Dad said he paid $6.50 for the over 55 omelet and pancake, because he was being frugal. A regular omelet was well over 10 bucks!! Well you get what you paid for (or not). The omelet was the size and thickness of a small I-phone. The pancake wasn't much bigger. When he left, he told me that he felt more satisfied after eating a value meal burger and small fry at McDonald's and would have paid 1/2 the price and would not have paid a tip. Bottom line: if you want breakfast fare, you can do a lot better at any of the local breakfast restaurants in the surrounding area. You don't usually go to a chain restaurant looking for unbelievable service and attention to customers, but you WILL find that at this IHOP! My family had a really great experience here just before Christmas time, and I want to go ahead and give credit to some kind management. My parents, boyfriend, and grandmother came to IHOP (Gram's favorite brunch spot) one Saturday around 9 AM. The place wasn't too busy when we arrived, and were seated quickly. Our waitress took our orders, and was very pleasant. We were probably the largest group in the restaurant at that point, so it was no surprise when our waitress stopped over to let us know they were still working on our food. Unfortunately, things did not come out of the kitchen all at once, but instead we were 1-2 people served at a time- while not ideal, we were all sharing, and nobody was feeling upset- everything was delicious! When at last the final order came out from the kitchen (after multiple attentive checks by the waitress) a manager came to deliver it, and apologized for our wait, and took 50% off of the bill. Although the eggs had taken a few minutes extra, this was truly above-and-beyond customer service. My dad wouldn't stop telling people about our IHOP "Christmas Miracle" all weekend, and it made my Gram's day. Thanks, IHOP! We will most certainly be back. read more

Ordered a short stack of original buttermilk pancakes. After 30 minutes, and the place was not busy, I was served cold pancakes that had obviously been microwaved. They were awful. If a "pancake house" can't serve fresh off the griddle, steaming hot pancakes, what can they do. Stay away. read more

We came her on a very busy Saturday morning. We got right in, seated and orders taken within a couple minutes. We waited over 40 minutes to get our food and when we finally got it, it was cold. Our waitress who was less than friendly, didn't check on us until it was time to give us our check. When dealing with the public at least put a smile on your face. She didn't seem like she liked her job and seemed annoyed when she was taking people's orders. We will not be back read more

Tried this I HOP for breakfast on Fathers' Day. It was very busy but service was still fast and friendly. Bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast were very good. There was no jam, jelly or butter available for the toast. Price for the breakfast was good. Coffee, however, was $2.59 a cup - absolute highway robbery. The price of the coffee will keep me from returning despite everything else being very good. The cost to make a cup of coffee is minimal - just pennies. When a restaurant charges this much they are clearly ripping you off. read more

Service is terrible. At least 3 people that were sat 10 minutes after my family got there food 10 minutes before we did. Servers response was that it was coming right out which it didn't. Took almost 50 minutes for my family to get there breakfast. Server never came over and we had to find her. Not sure if the issue is the servers or the kitchen. We stopped at this IHOP today on way up to ski country . It was not a good experience . First we waited for coffee so long one waitress took our order " while you wait for your coffee". We placed our order and I asked for extra crispy bacon with my meal. After our orders were placed the coffee came ( probably 15 minutes after we sat down ). We almost got up to leave but thought we'd give them a chance . The bacon came very fatty , not extra crispy , inedible. I chose not to send it back because I didn't feel like waiting any longer for anything !! It wasn't that busy either so I don't know what their excuse is. Lastly when cashing out at the register, we waited again ! No one was at the register then a girl came and asked if I needed change . I said yes. She asked me to wait a minute and had to call for someone else to cash us out ! Start to finish it was a bad experience and we will never go to this IHOP again . read more

We went for breakfast the day after the grand opening. The restaurant was empty and management was hovering over everything. We could clearly see servers were nervous and on their toes. (Not a very relaxing atmosphere) food was typical IHOP. If you are a local out for Saturday or Sunday breakfastand with a large party and don't want to wait long in lines this is the place. But if you want fresh local fare that is typically more food for a little less money but with a small wait, I would still patronize the local guys. We went back for dinner this Friday two other couples were seated and the restaurant was empty..again? It was however, around 4:30. My wife had burger and fries I just had the app sampler. agin, this is IHOP and it was dinner... Our food was served on over sized plates that made the portions look meager and small..they weren't that large to begin with. Staff was friendly and great on both visits. No complaints about the quality of our meals. My recommendation is good for late or all day breakfast. Too bad they aren't open way later as the area needs a late night dinner. read more

This has been the most horrendous dining experience I have experienced. It took 10 minutes for the staff to acknowledge that we were there. Once we were finally seated it took another 5 minutes for someone to take our drink order and an additional 10 minutes to have our food order taken. Then it took well over 45 minutes for our food to be delivered. In the mean time another customer who had come more than 15 minutes after we ordered received his order 15 minutes before we received our order. The bacon was burnt and the food came out lukewarm at best and the coffee was burnt. The waitress was inattentive to our table and did not visit the table check to see if we needed anything. Also the wait staff was complaining on how busy they were and it made for an unprofessional environment, especially given the fact that the restaurant was filled at less than half capacity. When the check came, the waitress offered her apology only after our dissatisfaction was brought up by us. However, I believe it warranted a visit from the manager. The entire experience was unsatisfactory and I will never eat at this location again. I want to be clear that my complaint is purely against this particular location and not IHOP as a whole. read more
