Argued that we couldn't have a booth because the high chair being in the way was a fire hazard, and had to wait 10 mins for a table to be available but another serve sat us at a booth with our high chair at the end. 2 more people came in behind us and told one gentleman very rudely "I don't have room for you." Then told the lady who came in alone "you can sit right there. Here." As she proceeded to hand her a menu & walk herself to the table" The booth they sat us at was dirty, food from the last table all over the floor, we asked to have it swept even after he walked by more than once & saw the trash even around our table and high chair was dirty as well. Our server apologized if he was rude because he was in pain & he would be moving a little slower than usual. Why do you have a server in pain working.. bad move on management not to give this man the day off. Or have extra workers. Place is almost full & Ive only seen 3 servers. Sodas were very flat. He came off super passive aggressive at first then later just became aggressive & disrespectful. Some of my friends didn't even want to order because of how unacceptable his service was saying he wouldn't eat any of the food there. We were sat for over an hour before receiving cold ass food. So let me start by saying that a few weeks ago we ordered curbside from this location, and the male manager on duty that day was phenomenal. Based off that experience, we decided to order dinner again today. Our experience today was absolutely horrible! We had an order of cupcake pancakes, and they didn't put the cream frosting for the pancakes. We also had country fried steak dinner and they DID NOT PUT THE COUNTRY GRAVY! Not on the chicken fried steak, not in a separate container. Just sad dry tough meat. Then we also had a Monster Burger, the meat was swimming in grease, and had a new gross seasoning. We had 4 strawberry pancakes, no banana topping, no cream, and just 2 or so 3 bananas cooked into the bottom of the pancakes. So there was 4 out of our 6 meals messed up. Now, normally I would have called to complain to the manager, but when I spoke to her on the phone earlier, she was not helpful at all. I went to IHOP in the RIM at 1:15pm on Labor Day. The place was very busy. I was told it would be about a 15 min wait which turned out to be about 20 mins, but not bad. Once seated I was able to order right away, this is where the experience went downhill. It took 1 hour for my food to come out. After I sat down the crowd began to die down and 30 mins after I was waiting for my order there were only a few people remaining in the dinner area. My waiter completely disappeared after 2Xs telling me the food was on the way. I ended up reaching out to a floor mgr to inquire about where my order was. Only after hunting down this mgr about my order did I get my food. The waiter apologized for the wait and offered a discount for the troubles. My order was a chicken sandwich and fries, but after an hour wait for food I was so upset the food did not taste very good. I could not help but think how many other places I could have gone to to get a good meal in the time I waited at IHOP. Definitely Not worth the wait! On the way out I stopped in the restroom and the restroom was in need of some cleaning. Overall a horrible experience at IHOP in the RIM. If you are looking for gourmet cuisine or something unique you will not find it here. We were seated promptly and quick attention from our waitress. Food choices were varied and plentiful and the food came out as ordered quickly; hot and well cooked. Food was cookie cutter IHOP taste which is fine when you want something that you can count on for a decent meal. Breakfast options always available which we appreciate. I enjoy the Big Steak Omelette and my wife usually gets some sort of breakfast combo. Service was a little slow during the meal but still very good overall. Cleanliness of the seating area was very good and this is a newer location with the newer decor which is pleasant. There were only two other tables occupied in the restaurant and probably 5 or 6 employees we could see. Still, it took a few minutes to find us a table. From our table, about half of all tables were dirty. Dishes and food for patrons that had probably left a long time ago were still on the tables. The floor was dirty with napkins, paper from the straws, and other stuff. It was disgusting and concerning as we wondered if the kitchen was just as dirty. The waiter even asked, "can I refill anyone's drink before we get started ordering?" Like I understand the need for that, but NO we want to order. 30 more min and our food comes out, thankfully, but this quality of food was the worst I've had. Bacon tasted like plastic, eggs tasted microwaved and were probably bad because I had MAJOR digestive problems from it. The pancakes were pretty alright, as I would hope.
