Overall was a decent experience. I have been to IHOP previously and was satisfied with the food and environment. However this time I was seated in the back corner by the trashcan, cleaning supplies, and dirty dishes. It was kind of uncomfortable but it was ok. The food was ehhhh kinda rubbery. The hot coco and chocolate milk was very good. The water was also good but sadly the waitress never brought me mine. I had to sip off of my friends. I asked 3x for a water and they never brought me it! O well still love IHOP and will probs go back. read more

I come to this location for breakfast or brunch about 2 or 3 times a year. I haven't personally had a problem with the service or food, other than the eggs could use a little bit more cook time. Even on my birthday, when the waitress wasn't sure about a complimentary item, she checked and returned promptly. It's the only IHOP in town, so it is usually packed on the weekends. I would recommend this place for a family breakfast or a quick bite. It is definitely better than many other IHOPs that I've been to. read more

Although our waitress was very kind and attentive, the women's restroom was filthy and not handicap accessible. My mother could not get up from the toilet because there weren't any handicap rails installed in the larger stall. The floor was filthy and had not been swept or mopped. The toilets had feces stuck inside it and urine stains on the seat. Trash on the floor, toilet paper dispenser broken and the mirrors hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long. When I mentioned it to the hostess she went in and out in less than 1 minute and went over to another worker and laughed and kept looking back over at us. We were there chatting for another 30 minutes or so and no one ever went and cleaned it. The dirtiness of the bathroom was disappointing, but not having handicap rails installed as required by the ADA was very disappointing. read more

Tonight was a major disappointment I ordered the bacon hash brown stack. It came cold and the hash browns undone. My husband ordered a western omelet and found a long hair on it! can anyone say Eeew!? Not coming back until Brooke comes back from maternity leave. These replacements are horrible !update. Don't forget about the customer service they have. They have different varieties of syrup like Butter Peakon, Old Fashioned, Strawberry, and Blueberry. So, you don't get bored of one syrup. One of the best restaurants in the city.     As I've been to IHOP, I recommend that you go to IHOP. They have the best customer service with the best furniture, along with the best quality of food. As a worker at IHOP I've seen how the staff and the manager work hard to clean and keep the restaurant sanitary. With the furniture and the food, you will notice that the restaurant is the best food chain restaurant in the city. Some restaurants might be bad in food quality or in customer service, but not for IHOP.   If you have a lot of homework and you have a tight schedule to do all of your arons. I still come here to this day to have a fresh brew of the best coffee, and to work on whatever I need to work on. This service was Terrible. There was literally no customers present, we didn't get our drink order taken until almost 10 min after getting seated. Our food took almost 20 min. The employees were laughing and giggling and didn't come back to check on our table to refill our drinks until we received our food, BUT we had to ask for a refill before our server walked away. I usually come back to places that I have reviewed just to see how they have come along. I have to say that I am well-pleased to see improvement from my last visit. I have to drive 20 minutes to get to it, and I am happy to do so now. The staff is friendly. The food comes just as ordered and fast. I love the food here, huge portions...get in pretty quickly and you always know what to expect, but lately I've had a problem with cleanliness here, I ordered a cup of coffee and there was lipstick on my cup I told the waitress, she took it to the back and came back with a red smudged cup, I gave it try in a different city and the waitress was sick and coughing every few minutes. When choosing breakfast in Santa Maria, our choice is always IHOP....The food is always good, always the same....consistent. I like that! The last time I was there, I left my appointment book (with cash & checks in it) in the booth I was sitting at. I didn't realize I had left it until I got home in Huntington Beach! Before I could even call, the manager (I think he's the manager) DANIEL LOPEZ called me to let me know they had it! Of course I figured all the money was gone, but I still needed my appointment book! To my surprise, everything was still in it, and Daniel said he would ship it out to me by FedEx the next day. And wouldn't even let me pay for it! Horrible, food and poor service. For the third time in a row a very disappointing experience but this was the worst. The fruit plate had a rot grape, water cup was dirty, eggs were dry and cold. Not good service, she was ok not rude but didn't take care of us. Two of my friends eating breakfast found ants (bunch) of them in the syrup container they had on the tables . It was gross. Unfortunately they didn't realize until they were more than 1/2 ways done.I would of expected the manager to come over but nothing or to Comp all our meals but no. This place only gets 2 stars because the food was still good and the staff was somewhat polite. This place has soooo many problems. So my wife and I come in at 11am on a Wednesday and there was a 5 min wait. #1Wouldn't have been a big deal if I didn't see 7-8 empty tables that needed to be cleared. #2We get or name on the list only to have someone walk I behind us and get sat ahead of us. #3We get sat and they sit us at a table that is pushed together with another table, with another set of guests. Is this the best you could do? Oh wait all the other tables are covered in dishes! No biggy, we're friendly. #4My wife orders the big steak omelet and instead gets the Colorado. It was good so she kept it. #5Then I watch as several servers and hostess walk by tables that have stacks of plates and glasses on them with a waiting area full of people. #6Did I mention the hostess is a ray of frickin sunshine. I went to eat some breakfast Friday morning. The service was horrible! While our server was taking our order she was doing it in such a rush she assumed my girlfriend didn't want to add anything in her Omelet. She said "I would like to ordered an omelet" then she said ok and took my order and was about to walk away but my gf then asked her if she can add avocado in her omelet. I asked for crayons for my daughter and she never brought them. I had to get up. She brought the CHECK RIGHT AWAY!! We had taken a bite or 2! Didn't even bother to ask If we needed anything else before cashing out??? I needed 2 waters, butter for my pancakes, and A box to-go. We were very disappointed. Not to mention me and my girlfriend also work as servers in a restaurant and this is not the way servers need to treat their customers no matter how busy you are. Hi I would like to let IHOP know that it's both a unwise, uncustomer friendly, and dangerous policy to not list all main ingredients you put in food you serve customers on the menu and I do not feel that as a customer I should ask you for an ingredient list because you should have everything on the menu It does not make sense to not list all food ingredients that you put in food on your menu Denny's does! and further more some reactions to certain foods are fatal so if for what ever reason someone dosn't ask for your ingredients list here in the "Sue me" state of California you are making yourselves liable for law suites that will force you to change your policy. Second life gets busy and customer's want to feel you care about them when so many other resteraunts openly disclose all their food ingredients (which by the way is convenient for busy mother's with kids or busy people) I do Not feel I should have to police your menu for foods that might make me sick or even kill me. That policy makes me feel you do not care about the well being of the customer, your saying that's your problem you have food allergies, and since your prices are not competitive and there are other places that offer what you do at lower prices with all ingredients disclose on their menus for the convienence of the customer, you might want to save your self some money and be upfront about what's in your food. read more
