IKEA $2.99 and $5.99 breakfast deals

Don't order the rainbow cake! Looks good but tasted like cardboard. Outside of that, the hot breakfasts were a great deal! Would go again just for that.

Swedish meatballs are always a great tasty treat. Tried the new fish balls and was pleasantly surprised with soft cartilage. Real fish balls guaranteed. The sauce was creamy and went well with the fish balls. I enjoyed it. 8 balls went for 7 bucks so honestly a great steal for a quick meal.

A must eat are the Swedish meatballs ( veggie meat balls we're not bad but prefer real meat!). Tastes great plus veggies and mash.... classic and great price. remember to add gravy and the sweet jam for a savory finish. The dessert was great too... like a chocolate candy bar crunch cake like tart!! I would have loved eating this as a kid! Service was cafeteria like prompt. Ambience is nice open with plenty of seating. Wish they'd wipe down the table more though. Fun stop while shopping.

Needed a dresser and IKEA had the one I was looking for. No stop at IKEA is complete without SWEDISH MEATBALLS! Deeelicious! They also sell them frozen for purchase on your way out! IKEA is jumping on the self checkout band wagon and it is a s**t show. It was very unorganized and I had to sign a waiver for my dresser which the lady had to come over and key it in anyway! They need more than one employee to help assist 4 terminals!

SWEDEN FLAG STICKING OUT FROM A MEATBALL IS GIVING!!! (5 stars) Meatballs is -gt Furniture - FOOD: delicious - PRICE: affordable - SERVICE: quick - AMBIANCE: lol cafeteria in a furniture warehouse You know it's going to be a delicious meal when you see that flag propped proudly with pride on your food. I have been a fan of eating at IKEAs kitchen since my broke college days. There is something nostalgic and mouth watering when eating tender meatballs drenched in gravy, smudged in lingonberry sauce, paired with basic mash potatoes and a couple of peas getting air lifted and rolling off the fork; the combination description and appearance may not sound appetizing but the savory bite taps every tastebud. You know me, kids meal because I eat like a bird! Always get the Lingonberry drink at the fountain machine. It's so good but for those with GERD, you gonna be gerd'ing after this meal. SWEDISH MEATBALLS = HIGHLY RECOMMEND Do buy yourself a frozen bag at the Market before exiting. It's worth it. I massively stocked up during the pandemic and was happy at home eating meatballs. I didn't think air frying them was the best choice, it gave the meatball a tougher slight charred outer layer and dried them out. I would suggest adding water in the air fryer for a more steamed taste over the scorched taste. Until the next IKEA outting...

This IKEA Swedish restaurant serves great food. I especially loved this Yogurt for my breakfast snack. There are plenty of seats here and the workers are friendly! Laid back and casual atmosphere!

Stockholm salmon entree with salad and potato salad $8.99

Swedish meatballs are always a hit. The entree comes with mashed potatoes, gravy and peas. And the Stockholm fish entree was a good choice too. Entree includes Marinated salmon with a side salad and potato salad. Tables and chairs need to be wiped down more frequently. Almost every available table was dirty. We were there around 5p so the dinner crowd hadn't started yet. Couldn't imagine what it would look like during a rush. Overall I give it 4 stars for the food and price. Took off 1 star for dirty tables.

Such a great idea to have a restaurant in IKEA to ward off the hangriness that can sometimes come from shopping, or to just come for a regular meal. You really cannot go wrong with their Swedish meatballs and free coffee with your IKEA family card. Not to mention the free slice of cake for your birthday. Along with everything I just wrote, this is a convenient and popular spot with quick cafeteria-like service. While they don't have a huge menu, there is a good variety of items and specials. The prices definitely went up like it has everywhere else but it is still a decent price and won't break the bank to feed a family. The large eating area is also nice and is a good place to sit down after a long day of walking around the huge showroom.

Always a cheap place to get some yummy meatballs! The service was the usual, just feels like going down the cafeteria line but the workers are always friendly. The sitting area is a messy, it's hard to find a table/chair that was actually clean.

I love coming to the food court at IKEA! The cakes are delicious and the meatballs are the best. I am plant based and I am so glad they have the plant balls so that I can still enjoy them. Service is fast but friendly. Make sure to order the larger plate because the meatballs are really savory and the buttery potatoes make it so comforting. I love to get a slice of cake as a sweet treat to top it off. My husband and I went during our birthday month and as members we each got a free slice of cake. Shopping is fun and you can come here just to spend time without buying anything.

Love there Swedish meatballs and fixings but wanted to try their breakfast as I was here at 10:30am. I got the Big Breakfast which has the Swedish pancake with longinberry sauce which is not on the Small Breakfast. Came with 2 pieces of bacon, eggs and diced potatoes. Eggs and potatoes were okay but highlight was the pancake with berry sauce. Can't beat the prices!

Always passed this restaurant when shopping at ikea but decided to finally try it out! Got the meatballs w/ mash potato, Mac n cheese and corn bread. Surprisingly it wasn't bad at all and was pretty good. It was also affordable. If you like their meatball, they sell it in frozen bags also!

Garlic lemon cod plate, mac and cheese, caramel almond cake. Meatball plates, fries, and swedish apple cake
    Parisa O.

Overall, I'm not mad! You can't beat getting a cod plate for 11.99. Came at 6:30 on a Friday night and it wasn't too busy/got everything quickly. Out of everything, that was definitely the plate to get! They sadly didn't have the salmon at the time so I can't compare to that, but the cod was good (peas were just okay). For me, the meatball plate very much needed the lingonberry jam otherwise it was just too much of the same thing. I would probably skip on the mac & cheese, Next time, but the fries were great side pick though. Would go with the Swedish apple cake as the other one was just too sweet to eat the whole thing.

They're also dog friendly, which is awesome so we opted to sit outside with the pups. Just a heads-up: It gets extremely hot on the patio. They don't have a large fan or cooling system, but they do have window shades that can be pulled down to help block some of the sun and heat. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, checked on us regularly, and kept us updated on when our food would be coming out. She was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the: Country Fried Steak: this was by far the best country fried steak I've had in San Diego! It was absolutely huge. I ended up taking half of it home for leftovers. It was also loaded with gravy, which I loved. I got the mashed potatoes and gravy and broccoli as my sides, and everything was delicious. They have a very extensive menu, and there are so many other things I want to come back and try. I honestly can't believe I've lived in San Diego for almost 10 years and am just now discovering this spot! Between the portions, prices, service, and quality of the food, this is definitely one of the best breakfast spots in San Diego. And the prices are awesome for what you get. I'll absolutely be back!

Come for the Matzo, Stay for the Eye Candy (and the Sweet Chef!)…read more So, I took my grandma out for dinner because she had a massive craving for matzo ball soup. We ordered, but a few minutes later, our waiter came out looking like he had to deliver bad news. He apologized and said the chef refused to serve the current batch because it "wasn't up to his standards." Before we could even process being denied our soup, the chef himself walked out to our table. First of all? The man is dangerously handsome. Second of all? He was incredibly sweet. He politely offered us tomato soup instead, but then saw the heartbreak in my grandma's eyes. He told us, "Look, if you really want the matzo ball soup and can give me 15 minutes, I will go to the back and whip up a brand new, fresh batch just for your grandma." Naturally, we waited. Since he knew we were sharing, this absolute legend threw an extra matzo ball into the bowl so we could each have two. Talk about elite customer service! It really made us realize how much the people here care about the quality of their food. They won't serve you subpar dishes just to flip a table. My grandma was on cloud nine. She officially declared it the absolute best matzo ball soup she has ever had in her life (sorry, family recipe, you've been replaced by a handsome chef).

Despite the crowds, there were a few seats available to sit and dine. Usually one must check in with the manager inside the diner, but this time the manager happened to be a few steps away and she said I could sit anywhere I wanted...YAY! I had my pup Fendi in tow and we sat down for a while to enjoy the usual cool music and be voyeurs. As with most diners, it would be better if all the selections on the menu is available to order 24/7. Many items are only available to order during particular times. It was a sunny hot San Diego day, which called for an icy mocktail, a Greek salad and small french fries. The yogurt dill sauce enhanced the taste of both the salad and fries... so good. Service from the manager and servers were cordial, attentive and friendly. A bowl of water was offered for my baby and I always appreciate that extra effort. Because of a much improved overall experience and positive vibes, it merits this review and recommend.

It came with mushrooms and bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, and pickles. I added some of their homemade ranch which helped a lot with the dryness. The chili cheese fries were okay for me. The fries were a little more on the starchy side and not too crispy. I liked the chili cheese but wish the chili was a little more hearty. The onion rings were delicious. (They also have wifi) I got the Corned Beef Hash & Eggs ($20.95) which has been a favorite since 1960! It is awesome corned beef served with 2 eggs, hash browns and your choice of toast or buttermilk pancakes. And those pancakes are some of the best tasting pancakes I've had - so delicious! ...and the corned beef, eggs over easy and hash browns were perfectly cooked and seasoned and it was an amazing breakfast! My sweetheart got Harry's famous Tuna Melt ($17.95) which is tuna salad with tomato, melted cheddar cheese served on grilled sourdough (add avocado for $2) and your choice of fries or fruit. She is a huge fan of tuna melts and she absolutely loved this one! It's good to see that Harry's is still doing it right - We will definitely be back.

Eventually someone new came to address me and said no dogs in restaurant. I again stated she is a service animal and pointed out her vest. I probably should file an ADA complaint. Eventually I was seated. I ordered coffee & V8 juice to start. My coffee came almost immediately but I waited and waited for the V8 juice. I asked about it several times and was told they were working on it. After waiting for 15-20 minutes my waitress advised me that "he" ran out of V8 and was going to "the back" to get more. I went ahead and ordered my breakfast, Chilaquiles. The menu description says, "Corn tortilla chips" so I was expecting crisp, fried tortilla chips. Turns out it several corn tortillas cut in triangles. They are not heated, grilled or fried. My Sunny Side eggs were Sunny side up HARD. The breakfast lacked flavor. The tomatillo sauce had no flavor or spice. It's served on a bed of their famous hash brown - almost raw shredded hash browns. I left most of the breakfast on the plate. I did enjoy the coffee and V8 juice. There were a lot of employees but it was hard to get anyone's attention. Service was poor. Nice restaurant inside with some great local memorabilia on the walls. My bill was $34 and change. Yes Harry's has been around a very long time. In fact, I was a little kid when I first ate there. Sorry to say this but I suggest you pass on Harry's. San Diego has much better breakfast spots.

Upon entering, we were directed to seat ourselves by the bus boy so as we proceeded. The server abruptly stopped us in our tracks and kind of rudely told us that he'd be with us and to wait. As he approached to seat us I informed him that the bus boy told us to seat ourselves and the server half jokingly asked who so I pointed to him. As for the food, we ordered sandwiches and fries. I got the turkey and brie sandwich with grilled onions and it was real carved turkey (so good). Unfortunately, the fries were soggy and not crispy and fresh. BFF had the Cubano sandwich and it was a good size but they put a thick piece of ham steak on it along with shredded pork that wasn't seasoned. He claims his fries were good and fresh. The ambience is cute, very clean and plenty of seating indoors and out for such a small restaurant. Prices are reasonable, too. Had it not been for the server rubbing me the wrong way upon entering as well as the soggy fries, I would have given this place 5 stars.

The restaurant itself has an open and welcoming atmosphere, comfortable seating, good a/c, friendly service, a good variety of menu options...however, the cost for what you get doesn't equate. Now, their prices are fair, compared to many other places out there, but due to the lack of quality it just hits harder. My Monte Cristo was so sad-looking and dry. The turkey was heavily peppered, which might be okay in any other turkey sandwich, but this did not go well with what a Monte Cristo should taste like (iykyk)...even when the raspberry jam was added all you could taste was pepper. In addition to the strong pepper taste, the turkey itself was extremely dry and shredded to pieces when I tried to remove it. Very disappointed. When I told our waiter, who was very friendly and had been attentive, he said that he'd let the cook know--and that was it. No follow up. No apology. My son had the French toast and it was okay, nothing special. I usually have lunch here, but it's been a few years since I've been here for breakfast -- so this was a bummer. The past few times I felt like the quality was slipping, but I chalked it up to a possible "off" day...but this recent visit confirmed that they weren't "off" days and the quality truly has slipped. Hopefully they can reevaluate things and make some improvements. They have a good menu and nice concept, I just hope they improve their quality and presentation.
