Burnt Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen, Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen
    Angela J.

Decent spot worth checking out! Service was excellent and the interior is really cute. My date got the spicy tonkotsu ramen but the "spicy" came on the side, would've liked it better if it was already in the ramen. Seaweed cucumber salad kind of sucked and was such a tiny portion. Didn't have much flavor. The stand out was definitely my burnt garlic tonkotsu ramen. Would definitely come back for that alone. Also the spicy tuna was delicious but such a tiny portion for the price. Overall decent but overpriced.

I'm visiting LA for spring break and this place makes the trip 1000% worth it. The decor is minimalistic, simple, and comforting. The food was extremely tasty. Service was beyond amazing. I ordered - Standard Handroll 4PCS -Uni MAZEMEN -Premium set sushi The food was extremely tasty with every dish tasting a 10/10. Everything hit the spot and the service being amazing. Our server brought out new plates for our dishes just so flavors don't mix which In my opinion is premium service. Overall, I will definitely add this to the must visit when traveling to LA again. In my opinion, this spot is extremely underrated and deserves a 10/10.

The service was good but hard to them hear with the music though and the restaurant was nice and clean. The crispy rice tuna was delicious. A must get, the A5 waygu ramen was just eh. The broth was lite in consistency and flavor. Menma red onion. Means Menma , red onions, Menma is Japanese for bamboo shoots. It over powers the both so no beef flavor and the soup lacked salt. If you're going to make a simple ramen your both has to be on point. I probably won't go back since I was just in town visiting. But if you going to go there try a different ramen than I had or change the soup base

This light and airy restaurant looks unassuming but is holding a delicious menu of fresh sushi and reasonably priced omakase. The menu has a nice variety of choices that mix chef's choice with yours. Nice drink menu and attentive, friendly service. It was busy on a Saturday night but we had no problems getting same day reservations.

My wife decided to visit her mom so i decided to bring my side piece here. Honestly the esthetic of this restaurant n location is great. Gyoza and the ramen were top tier portions were great ! Great location to cheat but overall great food definitely coming back here. May consider bringing my actual wife here.

Very upscale hole in the wall sushi spot in Hollywood! High quality sushi, fast service, and apparently the busiest during lunch for business meetings. Very worth it and will be dropping in again next time Imm in Hollywood.

Ambience is really cute, clean and minimal. Love the attention to the details (the water glasses, light wood interior). Service is great, server knew about sashimi and understands the menu thoroughly. His recommendations are great and also attentive yet not interrupting. We had the yuzu-shoyu ramen, toro roll, blossom roll Ramen is slightly on the smaller option but it tastes really refreshing I like the broth, would try the garlic one next time. Ordered a blossom roll to share after I had the ramen and it's filling. Toro roll was 8.5/10 I'd recommend having an appetiser or some sushi on the side, I came in starving hungry and the ramen was 6.5/10 filling. This is a nice spot I'd definitely come back again

Our family loves Iki Ramen! The K-Town location has always been one of our favorites, so we were really happy when this location opened. Nowadays I come to Iki for my sushi fix, but I also still love the mazemen. My favorite is the mentaiko mazemen, and the ikura that comes with it is such a nice touch! The ikura at Iki is the best I've had, I really like that they marinate/season it so that it is extra tasty. The service here is always great, and there is free parking for one hour with validation in the parking lot which is very convenient.

    Mentaiko Mazemen

The food tasted delicious. The mazemen was a pretty unique dish and I liked it a lot. Our favorite was the IKI roll, we even ordered seconds. The ramen tasted okay without any chili oil in it, the spicy did not taste very good. I liked the soft shell crab bao, though a bit pricey in my opinion. Servers were very attentive and kept refilling water. The restaurant was nicely lit and looked very modern and fancy.

We were in the area for a show at the Pantages and looking for a good Japanese restaurant. Found this place through Yelp and it did not disappoint. Overall the food was high quality and delicious, a little bit on the pricier side, but fair for the quality and location. These were the items we ordered: Kaisen Don - 5/5 High quality variety of fresh sushi in a small bowl. Reminded me of a chirashi bowl, although if you're hungry it won't be enough. I ordered a hand roll after this since I was still hungry. Tonkotsu - 5/5 delicious rich umami broth. True to authentic Japanese ramen. Salmon hand roll - 5/5 high quality salmon, crisp seaweed Shio Koji ice cream - 5/5 Wow, one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. Refreshing and not too sweet, creamy, milky, delicious. Try it!! Black Sesame Mousse 5/5 - This was delicious as well. Smooth and a good choice if you like black sesame. We didn't have reservations and were seated at the bar. Strongly recommend making reservations. Service at times was a bit spotty. They could probably work on this a bit more. Beautifully decorated restaurant and setting. Very classy feeling. There's parking in the adjacent structure and also metered street parking. Highly recommend and would come back!

Iki Ramen on Sunset is one of those places that means a lot to me because I've been coming to Iki for so long, and it's been amazing watching them grow while keeping the quality and hospitality the same. The Hollywood location brings that same consistency and heart, just with the energy of Sunset. Most people come in thinking ramen only, but their sushi and omakase absolutely deserve the spotlight too. The fish quality is always solid, clean, and well executed, and the omakase is one of the best values around if you want something that feels special without the crazy price tag. Everything is thoughtfully prepared and consistently good, which is rare when a place is doing this many things. Of course the ramen still hits every time. Rich broth, perfectly cooked noodles, tender chashu with great flavor. It's the bowl you crave on the way home and the reason you keep coming back. No matter how busy they get, the food comes out right. What really makes this place stand out is the team. They treat you like family and you can feel the pride they have in the restaurant. The service and the atmosphere make it easy to relax and stay awhile instead of just eating and leaving. For the quality you get, the pricing is more than fair, and honestly that's exactly what we need right now. A spot where you can have a great experience, eat really well, and not feel like you overpaid. They also have the Koreatown location and it's just as good, which says everything about how consistent they are as a brand. If you're on Sunset and want ramen, sushi, or a great omakase experience with real value and genuine hospitality, Iki continues to deliver every time.

Overall the ramen isn't bad, chashu is nice and fatty and tender. Ramen is rich and filling. It's nice that it already comes with an egg too and you don't have to add another one. Lots of other side dishes and combos too if someone in your party doesn't want ramen. However, with the increases in prices, the fact that there's many other options in LT, and the fact that there are other Daikokuya locations, it's an alright LT option.

That's the mood that pulled me into Maruya in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. I ordered the chashu tonkotsu, the classic go-to when you want to judge a ramen shop by its bones. And the verdict? It was... fine. Not bad, not memorable -- just okay. The kind of bowl that doesn't offend you but doesn't linger in your memory either. No standout richness in the broth, no chashu slice that made me pause mid-bite. Just noodles, doing their job. This is actually the second ramen spot I've tried in Little Tokyo, and I'll admit -- I'm starting to feel a little underwhelmed by the neighborhood's ramen scene so far. For a pocket of the city with so much culinary history packed into a few blocks, I expected to be a bit more wowed by now. Two tries in, and I'm still searching for that bowl that stops me in my tracks. What did stand out, though, was the service. The staff at Maruya were genuinely warm and helpful -- attentive without hovering, quick to check in, the kind of hospitality that makes you want to root for the place even when the food doesn't quite deliver.
