Came here recently for Mother's Day as I love sushi. When we arrived I was surprised to find it was the same sushi place we had visited a lot quite a few years ago. Not sure if they remodeled or if this is a new group but the inside is very upscale and modern now, a complete change from the old place. The food is also very upscale and top dollar. The menu was interestingly presented meaning I was curious to try different things. I enjoyed discovering what everything was. The specialty rolls were delicious, the skewers, especially the waygu and mushrooms were delicious! Large cocktail and mocktail menu. The only issue with this visit was the rate at which the food came out. It was really slow. We got one dish and had to wait a long while for another, even the waitress asked if we got everything toward the middle. We ordered drinks and one of the drinks didn't come out with the others. After waiting a long while we asked about it and finally got it but it was after we already ate a few dishes (Like to have the drinks out before the food comes out). The long wait wasn't on our waitress but I think the back kitchen but she also seemed to be super busy with a lot of tables. Pleasant waitress though, she did check on us a lot. I believe it was their soft opening so get that they are still figuring things out. While the food was very enjoyable, beautiful and tasty, it just needs to come out faster. Especially sushi, where some of the plates are small and get devoured immediately. Yum food, nice interior, will try again

Soft shrimp tempura roll and Golden Langostino roll

Was in the area, hungry, and saw this was a newer spot, so we walked in to give it a try. Felt like a soft opening still. We were able to get seated right away and waters were brought to the table. Ordered the Japanese Candy Shop cocktail with cucumber and passion fruit. The cucumber really comes through, as it usually does with most things, and the passion fruit was hard to find. Still felt like a refreshing cocktail, just missing something. Appetizers, we started with the spicy tuna crispy rice and scallop crudo. The crudo was very good, the scallops tasted fresh with different textures coming together. Just a nice bite. The crispy rice was also delicious, nice crisp on the outside with soft rice inside, topped with tuna and a jalapeno. We also tried a wagyu skewer which felt underwhelming, unfortunately, but was seasoned well. Entrees consisted of two rolls. The spicy shrimp tempura roll felt like something was missing to bring it all together, while the Langostino roll was very good with flavor throughout the entire bite. Overall, newer Japanese restaurant in Glendale at the time putting out some decent dishes. Scallop Crudo and spicy tuna crispy rice are a must, as if the Langostino roll. Skip the wagyu skewers and the shrimp tempura roll though.

We celebrated Mothers Day and a birthday with the girls. Food was amazing!! Hands down one of the best I've had in a while. Order all the different crudo, it's delicious-my favorite is the scallops.Our server was so sweet and friendly and attentive. Inside of the restaurant was so cute and cozy.

Jasmine & Phoenix gave us the best service, and were full of laughs! The restaurant has only been open 3 weeks so we wanted to try everything, and we weren't disappointed. For the 3 of us, each getting a drink, appetizer and roll it was $177 and we left full! The standouts were the Yellowtail Serrano Twist, it was fresh and flavorful. Also, all drinks were 10/10. We made a reservation to try the newly opened Iki Toro for sushi lovers as our friends were all raving about the place and this place was top tier! From the Yuzu drink to the sushi to the panna cotta dessert the food was amazing, sushi is top tier with amazing options. The blue fin and toro were the highlight for me and having tried every sushi place around I commit myself to this restaurant going forward. Amazing service, amazing food, good vibes and music, drinks, and the design is top notch, highly recommend!

To start off I like to say that the decorations and overall look was excellent and one of the best looking sushi restaurants. The staff were very friendly and were working really hard. We didn't have to wait log at all for any service. We received drinks quickly including refills and we got our food quick too. Food tasted good and this was the problem. It was just good and nothing stood out or wowed us. I would have loved to give this a 5 star review but we didn't feel that anything would bring us back or make me carve an item.

Please make sure guests are given the opportunity to review and adjust the tip before the payment is finalized. I love this place, and this was my second visit. The food was amazing and everything was perfect overall. However, when the check was brought, the payment terminal was in my hands, and the waiter pressed "OK" before I had a chance to adjust the tip. She saw that I wanted to change the tip and quickly confirmed it before I could. I did not intend to leave a $133 tip, and when I asked her to correct it, she said it had already been confirmed.

It's the place to be. New spot in Glendale. Awesome atmosphere and tasty food. The pork gyoza is top tier as well was their other appetizers. The rolls were fantastic and the sashimi melts in your mouth. Would definitely recommend this spot for anyone in glendale.

Iki Toro Sushi is a 5-star experience. The food feels Michelin quality, fresh, beautifully crafted, and full of flavor. The service is warm and attentive. We ordered something from every part of the menu, including toro plate, scallop uni nigiri, unagi roll, skewers, sashimi, and dessert. Every dish was amazing.

i took my best friend to their soft opening on Valentine's Day and we had a wonderful time. it was awesome to be able to get a last-minute reservation on Valentine's Day. i'm giving a bonus star because it was a soft open and the service and kitchen staff deserve it, even though not everything was perfect. the interior was lovely - dimly lit, modern japanese styling. the food was great. the scallop crudo with tomatillo was FANTASTIC. the spicy tuna on crispy rice was also delicious - i use this dish as a bellwether for sushi places and theirs was great. the sushi rolls were also good. i would have loved for the Asahi to be on draft, but the large bottle was good enough. the service was friendly, if a little slow, but overall we had a great time. i hope Iki Toro does well! read more

We came here after seeing it on TikTok and we're so glad we did. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and honestly melt in your mouth delicious. Here's what we tried: Spicy tuna hand rolls, Spicy tuna over crispy rice, Salmon XO roll, Miso soup, Yellowtail serrano, Edamame with garlic truffle, Bluefin tuna roll, Yellowtail sashimi, and Spicy shrimp tempura roll. Our absolute favorite was the bluefin tuna roll, it was so good we had to order it twice! The service was amazing from start to finish. We even had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, who came by to introduce himself which was such a nice personal touch (thank you so much for the yuzu creme brulee wow it was so good!) The vibe is perfect for both a date night and a family dinner. We brought our kids and they loved it too. The space is beautifully designed, especially the bar area, which adds to the overall experience. We'll definitely be back! read more

The night started off well. Initially we're welcomed by multiple staff with smiles on their faces. As the night went on, the service became lax. We waited a significant amount of time (1 hour) for skewers only to have them come out to tell us they were out of chicken. The bill came and the minimum tip choice was much higher than the service warranted. I know this is a soft opening but would not go back and don't recommend it to anyone. Many other choices close by with better service. Also priced very high for what you get. Hard pass next time. read more

First time here and I cant express how wonderful it is! Energy is incredible (music was on point - low but the beats were so good). Our waitress Ester was knowledgeable, sweet and very attentive. The owners even came to our table expressing gratitude for our visit and even giving us a dessert on the house (I mean who does this now a days)!!!! It honestly felt like a staycation right here in Glendale. The food was exceptional. The bluefin was incredibly fresh, and the robata grill selections literally melted in your mouth. I loved the fact that they had a daily happy hour (4pm-7pm) and late-night SU-TH happy hours (10:30pm-close), so there was always a deal to be found. The drinks were the main reason you came, while the food was just an add-on. The prices were elevated, but you had a good menu selection of libations (nice local craft beer list) to choose from. The customer service was easy, friendly, and straightforward. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $42.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... Had such a great experience at IKI Restaurant. The atmosphere was amazing -- warm, relaxing, and one of those places that makes you actually enjoy staying there. The food was delicious and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. A special thank you to our waitress, "Jazmin". She was extremely kind, professional, and very skilled at what she does. Other staff members helped bring dishes and clear the table, but Jazmin was the one managing our experience throughout the night -- taking our orders carefully, following up on every request, checking in at the right times, and making sure everything flowed smoothly from beginning to end. She made us feel genuinely taken care of without being intrusive. You can tell when someone truly knows hospitality, and Jazmin absolutely does.
