This is one of the best hibachi places I've ever been to. The food is delicious and the chefs are always a ton of fun. They'll get as in to it as your group does. Website says they have a lunch menu, but once you order they call and inform you they DONT do lunch specials. When I refused to pay double price for my lunch since their website said otherwise. I really like Ikko. Great sushi and I absolutely adore a lot of the staff. I think they have had some challenges with turnover in the front of the house, but it isn't something that impacts heavily. Only reason I won't give 5 stars is due to a lot of inconsistencies. As I've said, they are really good and it is always good, but size of rolls and staff quality gives them a little nudge down to 4. I will say that the food taste is consistently good and it is well worth checking out. I'm go quite frequently and have since they've opened. read more

After going to a few different hibachi style restaurants I found this one pretty good but with room for improvement. The portion size was rather small compared to others I have visited. We were still hungry after an app and a meal. Never had that happen before in other hibachi places. Food quality was good though. The drinks were a bit weak. The show portion was a bit lacking as well. Nice environment, they definitely spent a lot to set it up. I hope they make some modifications based on feedback and work out the kinks. We went for Hibachi. The serving portions were very unfair. We were the only group at the Hibachi table that ordered shrimp and steak - and everyone else at the table was served our portions. I was the only one served food out of my group of 3. They did the usual Sake shots and when it came to our turn they shot us with water in a baby bottle instead. $65 dollars and we were still hungry after we left. I come here a lot for their lunch specials and their Sushi Sunday. Their food is always fresh and the staff is always friendly prompt and attentive. I always ask for no cucumber in my sushi rolls and they have gotten it right every time, where some restaurants don't. I definitely come in on a regular basis and never regret it. I normally visit this place for that quick fix sushi craving. Happy hour is good a deal, to visit other times I don't think it's really worth it. On my last visit (not a happy hour one) service was horrible to say the least. The server had no basic manners, every time a plate was served I thought I was going to get smacked on the face with the plate. Entrees came in at different, everyone had food in front of them and my entree was delivered about 10 min laters, we even asked the server if the my meal was close to be done. I had ordered one sushi roll, that's it! Our table was all wet from he refilled our waters. Couldn't even do that right. Condensation from the pitcher then dripped on my plate and sauce. I'm sorry but that's just not appealing, how many hands have touched that pitcher of water, and now the condensation filled grime dripping on my plate. Killed my appetite after that. Those were just some of the highlights but overall it was just awful. Left such a bad taste that I won't be going back, I can't be put through another service nightmare of that sort. read more

My sister and I came out to eat here today and it was lovely. We got our food quickly and the server even boxed up our food for us. The food was great. However, it was very loud in here due to the show going on in the other half of the restaurant so if you want a quiet place to eat, don't go here. Ikko is a great Japanese restaurant. We did the Hibachi / Teppan style dining where you sit around a large flat grill on which a chef comes and prepares your dinner right in front of you along with showing off some tricks. They have solid cocktails here and many specials throughout the week. The Hibachi options are wide with chicken, scallops, shrimp, steak, lobster, and filet mignon available as well as various combinations of these and come with either fried rice or noodles, vegetables, salad, and miso soup. The soup and salad were good, but not exceptional. Fried rice was great as it was prepared right before us and served immediately. I had the chicken and filet mignon combination and both came out nice a juicy and flavorful from the sauces they were cooked in. Our chef was not the most upbeat, though. Other Hibachi chefs at places I've been to before were much more upbeat and showed off more tricks. read more
