I really wanted to like this place. I first tried their pasta when a friend cooked it for me, and it was great, so I went there myself. I bought lobster ravioli, four-cheese ravioli, and pasta sauce. Lobster ravioli is $2.40 each so I paid $24 for the box. When I opened it to cook, I only found 9 ravioli inside. I wouldn't have written this review if it had been just one missing. Then, when I put the cheese ravioli in boiling water, I found a bug floating in it. Will I go back? I'm not sure. It's such a shame because their ravioli and sauce taste so good. read more

This is more like a store where you can purchase fresh made pasta of your choice and sauce. I love the idea and being able to make it at home with fresh ingredients without actually having to make my own at home and no preservatives. With that said, I was unfortunate to have encounter mold in the sauce. Luckily I didn't heat it up. There's no preservatives so it doesn't last as long. They need to have a way to date the containers for each items they make. I just bought it last night and was quite upset when I was making late dinner. As soon as I got home, I kept everything refrigerated. Luckily I didn't mix it in with the pasta so I end up using a different sauce I already had on hand. Pasta are delicious and I would come back, if I'm in the area and planning to cook it within the same day or next. I don't think I can try any of their sauce. My tip to you is to inspect all of your items prior to purchasing. Sauce are hard to look through the containers so I hope they change their ways and just date their food items since everything doesn't have preservatives. I came across this place on Yelp. My friend told me it was excellent. It is not a dine-in place; rather, it is fresh-made pasta you cook at home. I was immediately entranced when I walked in. I saw fridges filled with various pastas. I was overwhelmed but also amazed by the choices. There were sauces and gluten-free options as well. I got their four cheese pasta per their recommendation and their tagliatelle and tomato basil. When purchasing the items, I also received instructions on how to cook their pasta. The pasta did not disappoint me one bit. I often find it expensive to go out for a pasta dish, but this was hands down a lower-cost alternative while preserving the quality. Unless you are making your own fresh pasta at home, this is where you should buy all of your pastas. Fabio's is a small pasta shop selling take-home pastas for you to quickly cook at home: spaghetti, fettucini, pappardelle, squid ink, gluten free options, lasagnas, tortellini, cannelloni, stuffed ravioli. Oh, the stuffed raviolis are my fave because there are so many vegetarian options. They have butternut squash, mushroom and spinach, goat cheese, artichoke; there are meat options too, like "Tex-Mex " and lobster. The gluten-free pasta is also a fave of mine. Boiling instructions are provided on each box, and most pastas are ready in 3 minutes. Fabio's also sells a variety of homemade sauces, along with desserts, like tiramisu. So essentially, it's your one-stop shop for dinner prep. The owner and his staff are incredibly warm, and always provide recommendations. My first visit a few years ago, he sent me home with a few sample pastas and a sauce -- top notch service, hence, I am a loyal customer. I came by and met Fabio himself. He made some recommendations and I picked up a few things for dinner for the week. I got one of the lasagnas and heated it up for the amount of time the instructions recommended. The cheese never wanted to melt no matter how long I kept it in the oven! Wrapped in foil or unwrapped. Flavors were alright, we thought it was good enough, though definitely doesn't beat a fresh dish of homemade goodness. This doesn't replace a homemade meal, even if you bake it yourself at home. I'm a little conflicted about this place. I thought the pasta we took home was delicious! The instructions were easy to follow and the Rosa sauce was divine! The only reason I give it three stars was because while we were selecting our pasta, we were told that our total was around $29. Upon checking out, we were told it was $39! Perfetto! I love making pastas but hate the grocery store selections. My husband and I stopped in here after I read about it online and I'm so glad we did. We live about an hour away but it was well worth the drive. Been coming here (infrequently) for years, the staff is friendly, SO many pasta types and sauces, I've enjoyed all the ones I've had over the years- the winner was veal oso bucco ravioli with a Marsala sauce. I can't express properly how good it was. The pasta must be cooked at home (no hot foods offered there), but I've had great experience freezing the pasta too and it still being AMAZING when heated whenever I do get to it. I wish I lived closer to this fantastic store, located right across from Trader Joe's (which I usually go to as well when I'm there). We also had to try their marsala, meat sauce marinara, alfredo, pesto, and bolognese. Pastas are so incredibly fresh and delicious, it's hard to ever go back to eating spaghetti from a box! You know that they make their pasta fresh here because you can see the machines in the back and the owner Fabio will come out to greet you and talk to you!
