    What the food guy got

hmmm what the food blogger pizza looks like vs mine. seems like the flavor could be good but can't tell since there was hardly any sauce or meatballs to taste so the good one is the blogger and the sad bare one was what we got today. My husband doesn't want to try another dish. He said he wouldn't give them any more of his money.

I'm Sicilian so i am pretty critical when it comes to italian food and sauce. It is a small restaurant, we were able to have a table set up outside for us. But mostly, its a grab and go to order slices and what not. Our waitress was kind and pretty quick but kept forgetting to bring what we asked. Their garlic knots were top notch ! you must get these soft, warm pillows. The calamari was standard, good portion size. I had a side salad which was standard as well. We ordered the Sicilian pizza which was a tad undercooked (the middle pieces weren't golden, they were a bit raw). And their sauce lacked flavor, unfortunately. I would recommend adding a little more spices to the recipe. It was also a bit on the acidic side. Their pasta dishes looked good!

Casual Italian eatery and deli I heard about on social media. Friendly staff who appreciate your patronage and some Jersey boys music playing. Started with complementary bread which was delicious and steaming hot. The margherita pizza was flavorful and wasn't floppy at all. Then shared the chicken parm sandwich with vodka sauce. Very delicious and the chicken was quite tender. Many other dishes on the menu were appealing and some other sandwiches looked great that I'm sure I'll get for takeout one night.

This is a fantastic authentic NJ restaurant. Home made bread, the sauce the cheese, amazing. Great service, and get talking with the owner if you can. Really interesting guy- quite the background!

A previous review mentioned the sauce being too sweet for her. My wife and I agree with that assessment. The meatballs are very good and the eggplant parm also very good. I got some bean soup to go that was pretty small. Taste was ok, I probably wouldn't order it again. The waitress was very nice. I really wanted to love this place but I might go back for something without the tomato sauce.

Fried Calamari. My family agrees that this is the best fried calamari in the area.

My family and I ate there on a Monday night and it was very quiet. Our server was super attentive, which I love! The food came out fresh and hot and flavorful! For my personal taste, the red sauce was a little too chunky and sweet, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. We will definitely be back.

Michael Monaco, a noted chef relocated from New Jersey to Boca Raton where he recently opened Il Fiore. It is a deli, restaurant, and pizzeria. It has a small menu, starters; antipasti, salad, soup, & wings; hot & cold subs, pizzas, and chicken, seafood, and pasta entrees. Dinners come with house salad or soup and bread which they for got to give us. My wife's favorite is Chicken Parm and a side of pasta. I tried the Calamari & Shrimp Marinara over linguine. Both were very good.

If you're from North Jersey, Il Fiore will feel like home. Chef Michael Monaco brings serious Italian-American credentials (plus a few wiseguy stories) to Boca, turning out legit sandwiches on house-baked schiacciata--think WhatSub, but with Monaco's own Jersey edge. Don't miss the "Boca Bomb" (mortadella, prosciutto, soppressata, stracciatella, arugula, sun-dried tomato) and the creative, mortadella-heavy lineup (lunch only, until 5pm). At night, the menu shifts to Italian-American classics: fork-tender meatballs in fresh marinara, chicken francese with bold lemon-butter sauce, and handmade orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage (yes, it's fresh pasta). There's shrimp scampi, veal/chicken parm, and rotating specials like "Fettuccine Angelica." The pizza's there if you want it, but it's not the main attraction--stick with the sandwiches, pastas, and mains for the best experience. Seating is tight, so expect a wait at peak times. Monaco is working on renovations for more space. No marble columns here--just real-deal food and old-school Jersey hospitality. A little taste of Jersey, right in West Boca.

The bread, focaccia, and bruschetta especially the bruschetta was wonderful. Wish we could buy tomatoes like that. The fried calamari was tender and fried perfectly. The accompanying sauce although a little spicy was perfect. My wife said the frutti de mare she ordered was very good. The chicken parm I ordered was the best I have had in many years. I order it often, and am often disappointed. Not true here. It was excellent. The tiramamsu for dessert didn't disappoint. All in all, this was a 10 out of 10. A rating I have not been able to assign to a restaurant very often.

The food was excellent--truly authentic, packed with flavor, and cooked to perfection. You can taste the quality in every dish. Beyond the incredible food, the ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful, strikes the perfect balance of cozy and upscale. What really took the night to the next level, though, was our server, Tony. He was hands-down the best! Tony went above and beyond to make the birthday celebration feel incredibly special, attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Make sure you save room for dessert because the strawberry shortcake is absolutely to die for, and the after dinner cookies were the perfect sweet finish. However as mentioned the restaurant manager and hostess need a refresher training in hospitality and customer service.

Went with a large party last week for my father's 85th birthday and it was amazing. The chef and owner came out to chat with us about his menu and welcome us. Every dish we ordered was perfection. I had the bollonaise with meatballs.....delicious. My father had the seafood pasta....he loved it. Several others had the branzino.....all loved. And to think that we drove down from Jupiter.....well worth it. Would definitely come b back and can't thank them enough for making my father's 85th so special.

I ordered the Tomato Cream Gnocchi and my boyfriend had the Mediterranean Combo. No exaggeration but this was the best gnocchi I've ever had. The dish changed my view on gnocchi and I'm now a converted fan. The texture was pillow soft with a bit of spring. The magic of this dish is how simple yet delicious it is. I loved a simple dish done well. The Mediterranean combo was a special of the night and it came with prawns, branzino, fried anchovies, and a salad. The combo was also just as goods. The seasoning was yet again, simple but delicious. The prawns were succulent, fish was high quality, and the fried anchovies surprised me. I loved all the proteins. I also tried the squid ink pasta and the seafood linguini. Both were good but the squid ink pasta was unique. I can't put my finger on the flavor but I liked it. Service was incredible and the chef was kind. He came out to talk to us and explained some of the dishes. The restaurant is homey and cozy. I felt like I was in Sicily. Overall, I highly recommend Savia. I can't wait to come back and try more.

While the food was generally good--my veal chop from the prix fixe menu was flavorful, though slightly dry--other dishes were, unfortunately, just average. What truly undermined the evening, however, was the service. Throughout the night, several guests struggled with repeatedly unfilled water glasses and had to ask multiple times for basic items. Our waitress hardly checked in until the end of the meal, with minimal follow-up during dinner. The situation escalated when, after paying, our waitress, Haley B, approached the table in a confrontational manner, questioning me directly--three separate times--about the tip, in front of the entire group. Gratuity should reflect the quality of both service and overall experience; being pressured for a higher tip despite the lack of attention was entirely out of line. To make matters worse, my follow-up call to management was equally disappointing. The response was all talk, no action. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism left a lasting negative impression.

It's where we take clients, friends, and family, because you can always count on excellent service and exceptional food. The restaurant is large, but its charm is in its elegant yet intimate setting. I especially like the tables in the back, which are a little quieter. And if you're looking for something a bit more casual, the bar area is always a great choice. As for the food... I can honestly say that everything on the menu is exceptional. I once had a snapper special served piccante style that was absolutely out of this world. Avery and I had a lovely dinner Saturday night. We started with the Sausage and Peppers - real homemade Italian sausages that are a little sweet and spicy, with every bite bursting with flavor. Then we shared the grilled seafood appetizer, one of the evening's specials, and it definitely lived up to the "special" part! Then came my favorite ...the Chicken Parm and, of course, we had to share a cannoli for dessert. There was so much food left over that they wrapped everything up for us, so we get to enjoy it all over again! Still one of my favorite restaurants in Boca, and after all these years, it never gets old and it truly never disappoints.

The bread was stale and not appetizing. The butter was melted, not refrigerated. Tonight (a Wednesday in August) the tables were at most 25% occupied. Nevertheless noise level intrusive. Why do restaurants which when full are extremely loud feel that they still have to pump in base heavy music? When full I anticipate painful level of ambient noise. On Wednesday evenings during the summer they offer a parmigiana special for $29. We knew about this from their website. Neither the menu nor server informed us about this dish which was excellent. The ala carte menu is very pricey. In the same neighborhood (and price point) I'd prefer either Casa D'Angello or Trattoria Romano. We probably will not return because of the noise level.
